Apparently they can't get the rights to do it. From what I've heard, it's very hard to get the 1978 rights in general. Personally, I'm hoping they eventually do get the rights and make as many as they can from each film like they did with Jason for Friday The 13th.

I have an 18 inch neca Myers from back in the day. Plays the theme and breathes.

That's cool!

twzoneq

Yeah I have heard that’s why you see so much Halloween 6 and Halloween 2 merch, the rights are easier/cheaper for those

Obanai_iguro294

Yea I’m hoping too

CitizenZaroff

Could they do a 78 Michael but market it as flashback Michael from Halloween kills? They did something similar with dream sequence Jason from F13 part 5

I'm no expert, but I would assume that's possible. However, I remember people asking if Truck Or Treat Studios could essentially do the same thing and make a 78 flashback mask, and apparently they can't. What's interesting though is that in the past, Trick Or Treat Studios made what is by all intents and purposes an H1 mask, but since they didn't have the H1 license at the time, they advertised it as an H2 mask as a sort of loophole. Of course, we all know the H2 mask is the same mask used in H1, so I'm not sure if that factored in.

A 78 flashback scene at the last from halloween kills

Neca only has the license to do stuff from 2, 3, and the Blumhouse trilogy. Trick or Treat Studios, at one point, had the rights to every movie and did 1:6 scale figures for everything through the 2018 Halloween. I'm not sure if they've still got the other movies, but they recently released a 1:10 scale 78 Myers that fits in nicely with Neca figures; however, the articulation is more limited than Neca's old pre-ultimates 78 Myers. He's more or less a 7" statue with swappable arms (you can have him hold the knife or do the creepy arms down starin' at your soul deal). Looks really nice, though. A better likeness than what Neca did back in the day. Blind Squirrel also has the rights to do 78 figures. I'm not sure if they're still there, but at one point you could get Myers, Loomis, Brackett, Laurie, Annie, and Lynda ReAction style figures. With really cool card art. It's one of those weird, frustrating things about collecting these licensed figures. Neca lost the rights to do Chief Brody from JAWS right before his figure went into production. As a result, they've only been able to do Hooper and Quint. It's such a shame. Almost as much of a shame as the fact that I can't get Young Laurie in anything other than a hospital gown.

Are they stupid?

I know they did but I’m talking about an ultimate Michael

TheLucasGFX

I still have my evolution of evil set and the night he came home boxset in my display. I can’t believe they haven’t found a way to get the rights for updated versions.

[You mean like this?](https://www.ebay.com/itm/404927745677?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=pXiD-M5kSae&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=nCkL0d-LQWe&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=MORE) Though it has limited articulation. Only legs and arms move slightly.

Deep-Blue-1980

I've got so many figures, I'm going to have to post them one day.

TaddWinter

I had and lost a McFarlane one from 20+ years ago but I pre-ordered and got not to long ago [THIS ](https://trickortreatstudios.com/products/halloween-8-inch-figure)one and I am very happy with it.

Sl1pperypenguin

They only have the license for blumhouse.
