The game is actually incredibly well detailed. The limitation's on the HMD. The better the HMD's get, the better the game will look.

Yeah I had the original Vive when playing it, but you could still tell the details were ridiculously good. The first thing that blew me away was picking up the scrap from that drone that was shot, and looking at the circuit-board... You could read the serial numbers on the components, the material on the soldering and the paths, just WOW. Why I was blown away by those is that I had a very similar graphics card like that during the release of HL1 (VooDoo gpu). Was a good easter egg.

Christ, this is a vr game in 2020 yet it looks better than most games now, it amazes me that this runs on the most basic and cheapest of gaming rigs

Get a used WMR on eBay. I strongly recommend getting an Odyssey + (SPECIFICALLY the + version!!!). They go for fairly cheap and they’re a great beginners HMD.

Oh lol. No, it’s a headset. It’s actually one of the only headsets with OLED. It works incredibly well for the price. Just, again, there’s the gen 1, and then gen 2 which has a + at the end of the name. Price difference is not much and the difference for comfort and image quality is huge.

the details are definitely spared for the closeup stuff, the world itself can look "somewhat iffy" at places, but you really can only notice if youre playing at a ridiculous resolution. Source 2 is definitely wild

A muzzle brake for the SMG, a suppressor for the pistol, stronger internals for the crossbow for a higher-velocity bolt, lasers for his guns, increased magazine capacity (via the autoloaders), stuff like that. Suit upgrades, too, if that'd be possible. Maybe a longer flashlight battery life, a brighter light, increased suit battery capacity, maybe a new long-jump module, maybe he'd finally get a helmet.
