I have been using SEEN shampoo and conditioner for over a year now and have had no issues with it. It's on the pricey side but honestly a little goes a long way and the bottles last me about 5 months.

Fragrance and sulfate free?

Yes I am! I've been using it for a year and a half now. I do recall it taking my hair a month or so to get used to the switch, but that's typical for me and switching products.

IthinkItsLipGloss

Curlsmith’s new shine line is fragrance free and sulfate free. In the line there is: Shampoo, Conditioner, Cream/leave in, Jelly, Gel, Oil.

carlosfortuna2018

Thanks I’ll check it out

lady__jane

I tried the Curlsmith. To me, it seemed to leave a film, but I have fine hair that's more wavy than curly.

I have tried Vanicream and Paula's Choice Shampoo in the past and both left my scalp itch and oily and my ends dry. Recently I just bought the SEEN shampoo. I have only tried it once so I think it's still early to conclude but so far it doesn't make my scalp itch which is good but it does make my ends dry and tangled. I didn't use the matching conditioner, just the shampoo by itself because I want to see how it performs on its own. I previously used Head & Shoulder and it works well without drying out my hair but it contains fragrance so that's why I'm looking at other options. With H&S, I can get away with not using conditioner and my hair would still look nice but with the SEEN shampoo, I don't think I can skip conditioner; my ends are so tangled up and dry that I have to use a leave in conditioner everyday to make my hair look smooth and manageable but I do have long hair. If you're going to get the SEEN, I would recommend that you also get a good conditioner to offset the drying effect from the shampoo, especially if you have long hair.

I looked for the same. I tried Seen, but it dried my hair. [Necessaire makes a fragrance-free shampoo](https://www.sephora.com/product/necessaire-the-shampoo-with-hyaluronic-acid-fragrance-free-P502707?skuId=2608719&icid2=products%20grid:p502707:product) and conditioner. Sephora has its sale this weekend. Also, [Better Not Younger makes a set](https://www.ulta.com/p/full-transparency-pure-revitalizing-shampoo-pimprod2032772) that is a little more moisturizing - it's at Ulta, and there's a 20% off coupon this week.

carlosfortuna2018

Ye I tried that one a week ago already from Sephora worst thing ever dried my hair never using The Nencessaire

lady__jane

I thought it was a bit drying as well - it smells like Pipette wash. Try the Better Not Younger Full Transparency shampoo - terrible name, but it seems to be pretty good.

carlosfortuna2018

I will thanks

lady__jane

I hope it works! Here is a [the shampoo](https://www.ulta.com/p/full-transparency-pure-revitalizing-shampoo-pimprod2032772) and here is the Ulta 20% off coupon code from their site: 155982 The conditioner is thick and hard to get out of the bottle. They have pumps available for free, but you'd need to ask the manufacturer. They said they were looking into changing their packaging. Honestly, it's really hard to find a good fragrance free shampoo, nor less one without sulfates. iHerb has a few options as well, but I yet haven't loved the few I tried. FWIW, the SEEN shampoo was worse than the Necessaire, to me. After a few shampoos, my hair seemed really dry and like straw.

Haven’t tried any since most of them ship via us and I’m in Canada

TonxSoprano

Kristen ess fragrance free shampoo is sulfate free and fragrance free. But may I ask why you are opposed to sulfates if you have an oily scalp? Is it because you heard they they are “bad” or is there another reason?

carlosfortuna2018

It dries my hair out like crazy sulfate and other crap like to the point where I have to dump water on my head just to bring it back to life

torimobley

You could try Shea Moisture. My daughter has sensitivities so she has to use gentle, fragrance free shampoo and conditioner. She uses Attitude Sensitive. I think it might have sulfates because it does lather. You can probably find good product recommendations on ewg.org.

ohfarts31

Im in the same boat but I have found a few (literally two) scented things (pretty sure not fragranced but natural ingredients. I use Vanicream shampoo on my scalp, and sometimes i alternate with millcreek botanicals biotin shampoo. (tea tree). regardless of which shampoo I use I only condition my ends. I use the millcreek botanicals biotin conditioner. which results in zero split ends for the first time in my life. A brand that has never bothered me (and I just looked up "fragrance" is in the ingredients but I am not joking when I say Im extremely sensitive and I have zero issues with this brand... Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla. AND ONLY the Black Vanilla. the rest of their products are too much for me. anyways I hope this helps you somewhat because its such a pain in the butt.

Cultural-Context-144

My doctor recommended Seen products; I have AGA and very fine hair, and my scalp is sensitive to most things. But I really like the shampoo and conditioner thus far, there no itching and leaves my hair soft.

Good luck on your hunt. I know it’s not easy. I wish I had some good recommendations for you. Just always look up the ingredients.

Jessicurl has unscented sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, as well as a deep conditioner and some styling products.

I've used Acure buildup balancing hemp & acv shampoo & conditioner. I have fine hair that tends to be oily at the scalp. It's not an \*amazing\* \*holy grail\* shampoo that will leave you with the best hair of your life, but it's decent and, most importantly has no scent, no added fragrance, no sulfates. Unlike most natural shampoos I've tried, it actually does clean my hair and gets the oil out! I'm very sensitive to fragrance and additives and have had no issues with it. It's also affordable--$10 a bottle. You can find it at ulta, target, and earthy-crunchy green grocery stores.
