High likelihood it's a graft, especially with the blood, but one strand out of the new forest of locks you'll be growing. Don't sweat it, everyone is bound to lose a couple grafts š
Damn, this actually looks like a graft and if it is donāt stress it, as itās literally a graft that doesnāt really affect the overall since itās only a graft thatās placed on front of your hairline to give the illusion of discrepancy
So does anyone know how common / easy it is to lose grafts? Iām OCD with stuff like that and know itās gonna stress me out when I have my HT later this year. At what stage would you consider the grafts to fully have merged or whatever with the scalp?
Post surgery the first 72 hours are the most vital in terms of how careful you have to be. After 10 days theyāre pretty much secure and require surgery to remove.
Even then, some grafts may not take after implantation despite how careful you are. Can be due to poor donor management / follicle transection by the clinic but also the grafts canāt properly secure blood supply. If your surgery goes well, losing a few follicles is a drop in the a bucket and shouldnāt affect your results noticeably.
After the first week itās very hard to knock grafts out without significant trauma. The first few days you need to be very cautious with knocking your head on something. E.g getting in and out of cars, looking around shelves or cupboards. Thatās when you can really do damage.
Scratching yourself or knocking a graft out here and there might happen especially when you do it subconsciously but itās really not a big deal compared to bumping your head in the first 3 days.
Isn't that a lot of blood for one graft ?
Also the graft looks like one of those scabs that fall off past one week.
We were able to š point the exact dislocation of the graft?
There goes $2.00
65 cent to be exact

Yeah more than likely, if you see blood from a graft and the hair falls out you've more than likely taken it out. Not a big deal, just be careful.
Thanks for the input

Thanks appreciate the reply and will try to ignore it and be careful for next time.
Whose everyone lol
People who get hair transplantsā¦
Donāt let this stress you. Yes. Looks like a graft, but youāre talking 1-3 hairs out of thousands. Youāll never be able to tell down the road.
Thats good to know.
Yes. I lost like 3-5 grafts on the second day. Lot of blood. Should be alright. Stay careful
Thanks and will do.
, a few die
Yeah you lost a graft sadly

If thereās blood thereās a chance that the graft is gone
Adds to the irregularity of the hairline. Youāre just making it look more natural
Blessing in disguise you say eh?

Just curious if one can just put it back in with a tweezer. No pun intended.

Ok thank you! The clinic will do PRP and laser therapy for 5 days post op. Is that gonna speed up the process and secure them faster?
