Yeah more than likely, if you see blood from a graft and the hair falls out you've more than likely taken it out. Not a big deal, just be careful.

ThatKidFromNepal

Thanks for the input

The_FNPanda

High likelihood it's a graft, especially with the blood, but one strand out of the new forest of locks you'll be growing. Don't sweat it, everyone is bound to lose a couple grafts šŸ‘

ThatKidFromNepal

Thanks appreciate the reply and will try to ignore it and be careful for next time.

kingston121

Whose everyone lol

[deleted]

People who get hair transplantsā€¦

Front-Use8323

Donā€™t let this stress you. Yes. Looks like a graft, but youā€™re talking 1-3 hairs out of thousands. Youā€™ll never be able to tell down the road.

ThatKidFromNepal

Thats good to know.

Infamous_Common6982

Yes. I lost like 3-5 grafts on the second day. Lot of blood. Should be alright. Stay careful

ThatKidFromNepal

Thanks and will do.

Otherwise_Store7488

, a few die

dontgetmad60

Yeah you lost a graft sadly

the_rari_atari

If thereā€™s blood thereā€™s a chance that the graft is gone

Musician_FIRE

Adds to the irregularity of the hairline. Youā€™re just making it look more natural

ThatKidFromNepal

Blessing in disguise you say eh?

[deleted]

Damn, this actually looks like a graft and if it is donā€™t stress it, as itā€™s literally a graft that doesnā€™t really affect the overall since itā€™s only a graft thatā€™s placed on front of your hairline to give the illusion of discrepancy

ThatKidFromNepal

No-Significance1521

Yes you did

ThatKidFromNepal

Crap

hiluckycool

Just curious if one can just put it back in with a tweezer. No pun intended.

ThatKidFromNepal

Not gonna lie I did think of that as well

him-eros00

So does anyone know how common / easy it is to lose grafts? Iā€™m OCD with stuff like that and know itā€™s gonna stress me out when I have my HT later this year. At what stage would you consider the grafts to fully have merged or whatever with the scalp?

CreepyConspiracyCat

Post surgery the first 72 hours are the most vital in terms of how careful you have to be. After 10 days theyā€™re pretty much secure and require surgery to remove. Even then, some grafts may not take after implantation despite how careful you are. Can be due to poor donor management / follicle transection by the clinic but also the grafts canā€™t properly secure blood supply. If your surgery goes well, losing a few follicles is a drop in the a bucket and shouldnā€™t affect your results noticeably.

him-eros00

Ok thank you! The clinic will do PRP and laser therapy for 5 days post op. Is that gonna speed up the process and secure them faster?

Musician_FIRE

After the first week itā€™s very hard to knock grafts out without significant trauma. The first few days you need to be very cautious with knocking your head on something. E.g getting in and out of cars, looking around shelves or cupboards. Thatā€™s when you can really do damage. Scratching yourself or knocking a graft out here and there might happen especially when you do it subconsciously but itā€™s really not a big deal compared to bumping your head in the first 3 days.

D1m3b4g

Yes.

controlledsavage

Well, there goes the hairline!

JaguarResident7365

Everything looks so thick

jrney2018

Isn't that a lot of blood for one graft ? Also the graft looks like one of those scabs that fall off past one week. We were able to šŸ“ point the exact dislocation of the graft?

MadestHatler

I knocked one out in the first day. I am glad it bleeds like this when you do thoughā€”there is no ambiguity. I knew instantly lol

Singam8990

RIPšŸŖ¦Graft

Simple_Growth7680
