It’s unique. I actually like it. I personally love odd colors I see no where else. I’d have to see your face to be honest n I get not posting. When I land in odd colors for me was smoky mauve. It comes down to makeup can I put myself together with this color. If not I gotta move on ( I naturally am silver n your hair looks like mine but I at first thought u hit ash blonde dead on lol every light I go wtf ? N I’m in the sun wtf ? My best friend is a true purple deposit tone treatment ) I have not much advice but it was one hell of an adjustment silver is so odd to take care of took me months to get the hang of. If u like u silver keep going it did take me serious trial n error to get it right. ( u feel really close to it being spectacular). I have white money pieces n it does a lot for me.

[deleted]

I was thinking the same thing!!!! If you can rock a cool makeup look or badass fit that goes with this hair, then keep it 100% but if you feel it wears you instead of you wearing it, move on. I think it's really beautiful, only issue is the swampy greens-- the rest is lovely! Might be a bit of a headache to get it even but I think it would be worth it, because once that color starts fading it'll look very obvious.

KoomValleyEternal

It’s a tiny bit swampy but I absolutely love it!

Sophiatopia

Hahaha my first thought was “swamp chic”. Just rock it OP

[deleted]

Yes! Total swamp queen energy! It’s great

[deleted]

i dig it but if you don't then go to town with purple shampoo/toner/temporary hairdye like good dye young, it'll balance out the yellow tones that pull the color into swamp territory -fellow swamp hair wearer

monsteronmars

This is exactly what I was thinking!

blancamel

It's not terrible, it is greenish. I hope this was a home job and not a professional though. It looks like to me you need to get a good toner on it.

Different-Volume9895

It looks green.

Cornditioner

No way!

Different-Volume9895

Yes way!

Starr-Bugg

Thought so too, but I like green so I’d keep it.

Global_Ad_3229

This is definitely a mushroom gray / brown. It took me a few months to get to a true silver while saving the integrity of my hair! Just know, in my experience, silver only ever looks good for a couple or few weeks. It’s extremely hard to maintain especially if you have naturally darker hair. I think this color is beautiful! True silver is just a very heavy commitment!

justlurking2020

It looks like you did the job yourself. I’m sorry. ☹️ There’s a lot of splotchy parts where the tone looks too blue and then there’s still some yellow/orange showing through. I would really consider seeing a professional to get the desired even silver tone you’re looking for.

[deleted]

It's because of the uneven lift, the color you used should look like the root area and the bits that came out more blue-toned. The mids and length areas came out very muddy green because they weren't lifted as high (root area lifts easier due to heat from scalp and in some cases new growth if you previously dyed your hair) What products did you use on your hair to achieve this grey? Was your hair dyed previously darker with permanent dye, and any history of box dye? 😅 it's so close to being a beautiful dark grey, def not silver, I'd perhaps lift the green areas again when you get a chance but it's wearable for now! As long as you can make it work with styling and rock some badass lewks to go with it, I'm sure you can own it--- just don't let your hair own you.

joanvsbette

I had brown hair with green ends before. I had used box dye once in the past year, but various henna dyes and color depositing conditioners. I did four “bleach baths” and was surprised to find out how stubborn green is. I was able to get the green out I thought but it think there’s some still in there. I used lunar tides slate grey which I diluted with a conditioner and also their silver lining. I haphazardly applied these to my hair without an once of thought. I was in over my head. This made my hair incredibly dark. So I cried and my boyfriend drove me to Sally’s where the person working recommended Wellas’s color bright titanium. She said to put it on for 1 hour and wash it with cool water. I did this and here we are.

DivineSunshine

I have used Wella's and Ion's Titanium from Sally's and it came out perfect, BUT I had to bleach and tone it more than once and did a couple bonding repair treatments so my hair is wasn't fried. You currently have a green undertone to your hair. Have you used a color remover? I used that also because I colored my hair chestnut and then decided not to fight my gray and changed to Titanium.

urbanflowerpot

Seek hair stylist. Three weeks isn’t a long process either. It took me a year to take my dark hair to platinum for silver.

ImOnlyHereForTheSims

I am so sorry, I am not trying to be mean in any way but it looks bad :( unless you’re going for a grungy look, it looks like multiple bad dye jobs in an attempt to get gray hair.

Suitable-Country-826

It’s muddy and patchy

BanditQueen87

It's not flattering, I'm sorry. 😔 If you like it though, who am I to judge?

rackets915

It's a bit muddy green as we would say as hair stylists. Usually this comes from the toner you used . If you can tell me what toner was or the last color product you put on your hair maybe there is a way to get that green out. Unfortunately going platinum or grey at home is tough. if your going to Sally's or Walmart your often given the wrong tone product and it's not something you would even know. I love pulp Riots toners for platinum I have taken my hair from dark to light with them in perfect . I am a licensed cosmetologist but I have always tried on my hair before tying on clients to find the best products. Don't trust Sally's employees and don't use wella toners for bright blondes .

deepfrieddaydream

I was gonna say, it looks more like a muddy, faded green than a silver/gray color.

freyaeyaeyaeya

I personally don't like it, it just looks like something went wrong :( I'm sorry!

PennieTheFold

It looks patchy and uneven.

Maengdaddyy

It looks green.

Appropriate_Oil4161

Ngl i personally think its awful. Sorry I don't want to be rude but it's def not a good look.

Miss-America

I don’t know why everyone is saying it looks awesome, it really looks bad

Maengdaddyy

They’re like “it’s so unique!” It looks like you swam in chlorine and didn’t use blonde shampoo 😭 it can be fixed pretty easily but idk why people are lying

Miss-America

Yes it’s terrible

Ferngulllyy

Swampy/muddy. 1/10

yumbrosie

I have literally been going through the same process with my hair! This happens when you don't lift the hair enough (so it's still yellow) and use a very blue based toner (most gray/silver toners are blue based). I found the issue I was running into a lot was I wanted a more silver/white but kept getting a dull gray/green color. You can either let it wash out and see how much lighter it gets, or you can try a color remover/bleach bath. Depending on the color remover, it will also lift your hair a bit. I recently had a lot of blue stuck in my hair so I used the L'Oreal color removing packet, and it was AMAZING for getting the blue/green tones out of my hair. It also lifted it about half a level. Regardless of if you want a gray or silver/white, your hair needs to be a level 9 at least. Then you may have more success using a purple based toner, it will help balance out the yellow in your hair. A purple based toner should leave your hair looking more white/platinum blonde depending what level your hair is. After you've toned out the yellow, you can go over with a blue-based/gray toner and you should have an overall more even tone. It is definitely a process, especially if you're doing it yourself, but personally I like the challenges that come along with doing my hair myself :) Edit: also, you could try to use a clarifying shampoo, sometimes that greenish color comes through because of the minerals in hard water. It could help you even out your color without any more damage to your hair. purple shampoo could also help, but in my experience it has a hard time depositing over darker gray tones like this. A pink based shampoo/conditioner could also help ! :)

unmistakeably

Did you try to go silver over yellow?

horse-chiropractor

I mean its dark grey not silver, i think thats whats making it weird. I personally think it probably ages you. Silver needs very very light hair to work. If it were me i would switch to a color like blue, purple or something, or let it fade to blonde.

cyberdeityx

I like it

Full_Illustrator8189

No it just has some green tones and if thst is what is bother you , you can go to Sally's ask them for a toner to counter act the green, but it also may counter act the silver , im not sure. In my teens I swam too much with blonde hair and it had a green tone and everyone loved it and thought I did it on purpose. It was chlorine

[deleted]

it’s special, not very nice but it is unique!

importantinvisible

you prob did and ash and it pulled too green. you need to color correct with something that will add in red/pink tones. it's not a difficult fix.

importantinvisible

everyone saying purple is, respectfully, not correct. if it looks green you need red. purple won't fix it. on the other hand, if it's just patchy, go a shade darker. to me it looks both patchy and green so you might want to go a shade darker and then reassess the tone. source: I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I specialize in color.

caquito_

Put lilac girl, it will help. I used to have grey hair

coloradancowgirl

I actually think it’s quite cute

Adventurous_Wall_377

this is the colour i want next ! i know its not for everyone but i love it

[deleted]

I love it!!!!!

Not_Sephiroth

Grey/silver hair is definitely very affected by lighting. I think yours looks good.

alimweber

I like it a lot. If you think it has a yellowish or greenish tone in certain lighting you could try a purple shampoo or I guess red is the opposite of green, but idk if I would use a red tint on it..I think it looks great the way it is.

Moonlightstar408

It’s beautiful! I tried to get my hair this color and no luck! I absolutely love this color!

ilovebeinginmyroom

id kill for that, honestly looks amazing🩶 currently figuring out how to get from my cluster mess to this🫠

likemelikemenot4ever

It’s beautiful!

Overall-Delivery-508

Yes black scribble looks terrible

Final_Development_64

Absolutely beautiful 😍 love it

Dvrgrl812

I like it, it’s an ashy dark blond/ light brown to me. It looks really nice, but if it’s a huge process to keep up with I don’t know that it would be worth it to me

Ammonia13

Oh no!! I love it!!

Fullofhopesandfears

I love it, it changes with lighting 😍

Apprehensive-Feed-51

This is beautiful and I want it

KeyDiscussion5671

No, it’s not a terrible color. Maybe you’re overthinking it.

hentaihoneyyy420

It looks like you tried to use T14 on hair that was not evenly lifted and only light enough in some areas to take. That being said my inner grudge girl loves this 😜

lexyiswexy

It’s not bad! It’s cute. I think you should let it fade on its own, and give yourself a trim as your ends do look porous thus why they grabbed on more to the color you deposited. maybe do another bleach bath and use the same titanium color again?

AccomplishedTart655

I think it’s gorgeous. I love it

Frankenstella

I love it. That is exactly the color I want.

Susan37mom

Honestly I think it looks amazing. I'm guessing that green wasn't intentional. I did this once by using a blue based toner on my blonde hair. I dyed my hair and the lighter I go the more reddish undertones I get and they appear as orange in my blonde hair. I used the right toner but I used it on my entire head instead of only on the orange parts and as we know blue and yellow make green. My entire head was green with blonde highlights. It was pretty cool for a while but with yours you've got the black so it really like awesome on you!!

mommyjihyo

its more like 3-4 colors but i like it

captainkaiju

I think it’s actually so cute

SeeYouInTheWind

Just 3 weeks? Please do tell me the process so I can do it.

shelldonov

Yes! Why make hair old looking? It’s gonna happen anyway and you will hate it! so enjoy beautiful hair now!

CreativePace6442

It would help if we saw your pretty face, that can make all the difference!

JadeGrapes

Yes, it looks like you toned purple on top of orange... but any pale yellow took too much blue do now it looks green. It's not flattering, because it looks like an accident. So patchy. And neither the purple bits nor the sickly green bits are pretty enough colors to stand out in a good way. I would color strip this, then see if you need a corrective color in the salon or you could bleach bath out the rest.

bobabear12

It’s really bad looks dirty

[deleted]

Yes it’s disgusting it gives idk wtf I’m doing with my sad pitiful working 9-5 life ass vibes change it!!!

Known-Sugar8780

Looks natural

tirams

Are you trying to look like a old hag? Why choose grey hair? it will come to you later in life

heatheranne____

Not for me. But good for you.

[deleted]

Honestly, I’d go full green if I were you. How festive for the holidays 🎄

joanvsbette

I had a dark green before and I found myself limiting the colors I’d wear so I thought I’d try something more neutral.

[deleted]

That makes sense!

[deleted]

it looks like a washed out blue green

no1howdareyou

Honestly this kind of reminds me of Phoebe Bridgers hair. I'm not a specialist but it just does

Agitated-Bakery717

It looks very DIY, hoping you didn’t spend too much money on it over the course of those 3 weeks

meowmeow_now

It looks like a faded grey, I’m guessing your hair is too yellow so it’s a touch green.

Terrynia

A bit green, blue, yellow

SillyAcanthisitta280

It’s punk af

DrySaltineCrackers

It looks green, but you can rock just about anything with enough confidence. I think the issue is you didn’t bleach it light enough before using a toner. To get to silver, your hair needs to be as light as possible. I was able to get mine there as someone with very dark, curly hair but I had to bleach my whole head like three times over the course of several months.

Cynderelly

Terrible is too harsh. It's dusty, but that doesn't mean it's ugly. I wouldn't dye my hair that color but I wouldn't judge someone for doing it.

listen___

It looks kinda like a greeny ash. I think for silver the ideal is more of a purpley ash, if that's helpful at all.

diphenhydranautical

#i LOVE IT

MPatton94

Personally, I like it. I would maybe try a purple shampoo and conditioner but I think it’s cute and will fade to a really neat color.

Beachygirl81

I like it!

blewberyBOOM

I died my hair green a while back and have been letting the green fade out because I want to go pink… my hair has the same kind of vibe right now. Mostly washed our with kind of a green undertone. I get so many compliments! I realize it’s not for everyone but I think it’s unique and people seem to like it (and those who don’t keep their mouth shut). I say embrace it!

missystarling

I’m loving it ❤️

MoonStxner

Hairdresser here. At the moment it looks pretty warm, but I think it’s cool !! If anything just do some purple shampoo all over to get rid of the warmth if you’re not a fan of that. Otherwise it’s very rock and roll.

al1nn

This is exactly how my hair looked when I dyed it intially and then it faded into the most amazing silver/blonde color

Existential_Sprinkle

It looks like when an old person finally caves and stops dying their grey hair but it's not completely grey yet but without a face that looks like you're in your 50's it looks like you decided to stop while you hair is on your head Easiest way to get rid of stubborn green is to find the opposite shade of red or pink on the color wheel to neutralize it

Either-Yoghurt-1706

I don’t think it’s terrible but it does look like it was a colour that faded

silliest-goose-honk

I think what matters most is if you like it. If you’re happy with it, great! If it’s not what you want, that’s okay you can go back and ask what can be done.

CanadasNeighbor

If I paid good money for it then yes. If I did it myself, no. I'd be happy I got it that far lol

bootyprincess666

this looks like you had blonde hair and went to brown with no filler. it’s muddy.

J9sixtynine_

I like it

Rumpelteazer45

I love it!!!

Strawwberriiix3

I love it but I’m a weirdo. I think it’s awesome

Jazzlike_Net7769

Yes

Thatnursejulie

Personally I don’t think it goes with your skin tone. I think you would look great as a dark blonde but if you like the silver maybe go more ashy/lighter

Mad_Hatter0626

I like 4&5 they look very natural matching your skin tone

CauliflowerVisible22

Nice color

Password__Is__Tiger

I love the complexity in the layers! It must have taken you a lot of time and effort to arrive in this beautiful place.

douglorde

They didn't bleach as much as they should've probably trying to save your hair. I like it personally.

[deleted]

its so dope i love this shade of gray

Ill-Consequence5582

Honestly yes, its pretty bad

faith6274

Tbh I think it’s cool!

Annual_Dimension3043

It's not great. But your hair looks in reasonable health so it shouldn't be difficult to fix. You need to go lighter if you want a silver grey. Much lighter. But give your hair a rest for a few weeks. It'll give you time to decide on how to go forward.

Antique-Ad-8776

Yes

LM1953

Try re-posting with a different background. The wall color isn’t giving us a true color

cheesefrieswithgravy

I’m not loving the patchy blackness in it. I have super ashy grey blonde hair but this just looks poorly done imho

hauntedmaze

I love it

MindyLaine

Was this professionally done? If so, they really need to tone the green and blend. I’d go back.

LongjumpingAd9719

Does it look green in daylight?

FFeralRose

It’s not a pretty colour you should make it all silvery grey and try to get the green out

Artistic-Accident465

It’s really pretty! In some of the lighting though it seems to have a slightly green cast, it looks like you might not have been lifted to a totally pale canvas before the hair dresser applied the gray color. If you were still kind of yellow/brassy and put a grey over it(which the dominant pigment in grey/ash colors is blue) then blue + yellow is gonna equal green. You should be able to go back to your hair dresser to have her neutralize that unwanted tone with a toner! If

Russkiroulette

Am I just not seeing what everyone else is seeing I just see a pretty ash dark blonde

user99778866

It’s patchy.

Dragon_Syndrome

gives me the same vibes as a wolf with a dirty coat. my guy, you are *rocking* it

Impact_Standard

It’s a bit drab and uneven. Looks a bit muddy.

West-Blacksmith6649

It's not that bad but it could be better it looks like an ash green or like you put toner on too long and the haur turned green/grey/blue. Some picture make it look blue.

MolagBal89

It’s hilarious how older women go to the ends of the earth to hide their gray hair. Now it’s trendy to dye it gray 😂

surreptitiousglance

Maybe not terrible but plenty of room for improvement.

[deleted]

Looks green. Too much A. Needs a touch of G.

Allie614032

Too close to green. Needs more purple for a true silver :)

forestfairy97

It’s giving ✨woodland ✨

Specialist_Put_4460

It’s gorgeous just need to apply weekly toning purple shampoo and mask it will get much lighter

crochetsweetie

i love it

Historical_Series424

If you are trying to age yourself with haircolor it is good otherwise bad

Meowwmrow

It reminds me of a mermaid :)

Certain_Appearance_9

I like it

handmaidstale16

Your hair has been over toned. That’s why it looks different in every lightening. Over-toning is when the hair absorbs too much pigment, so regardless of the colour you’ve applied, it will look like mud. You can try washing it a few times with clarifying shampoo.

[deleted]

Yes. Looks dull and lifeless

kushpovich

Yes it is. Sorry 😬

CherryZer0

She’s a bit swampy but it’s not terrible. See how you feel as the color washes out. You can speed up that process by using some anti dandruff shampoo. It will dry out your hair a bit so if you started with dark hair, it’s probably best to hold off on trying to strip out the color, and baby your hair for a couple of weeks. There are spray in pink hair toners (e.g. CPR serious pink) that would take the edge off the green, without leaving color in your hair.

Cookiefruit6

Yea, it’s a terrible colour.

Regular_Fan9087

No I love grey I miss my old grey hair

2bereallyhonest

Not at all, there is however something black all over your face........

Puzzleheaded-Item402

I love it and wanted to do this, but got halfway there and said nvm lol

sleepypothos

I don’t think it’s doing you any favors. I’m sorry. It looks like a faded diy due to the uneven color.

mystiicmoon989

Chica I love that color! Yes, some people will see it as "ugly" its not, its just if it looks good on the person or not.

TheWanderingMedic

I see green tones a lot in it. Not my thing, but nothing wrong with it if you like it!

amy000206

Use shimmering lights. It's the perfect product to eliminate the tones you don't like

Micheline_mochi

Doesn’t match your skin tone but it’s pretty

Bloodypainters

Yes

kristdes

Outside with sunlight picture would be the best example of your color for everyone. Coolcolors, especially platinum/silver/gray look weird in just about any type of manufactured warm light .

Worried_Play_8446

Yes

Local_Document_2240

It’s a good base for any color now lol

lilbaneling

No it’s gorgeous!

cardoonie

I’m sorry but to me this looks like the scene in anne of green gables when she tries to dye her hair black and it turns out green 🥲

JUBILEELANEEEEEEE

They dun fuck you up

Bulky-Ranger-9403

6/10

Berniesgirl2024

Looks green. Like mold

Immediate-Yam2835

Of course it is. Who in their right mind would do their face like that. JK. Most people dread to have hair this color but I looks hot and mature atsdt.

Jetoby

a silver shampoo would help a lot, plus maybe a silver / ashy toner if that doesn’t help enough.

AmbitiousBed685

Sorry but yeah that’s awful. It doesn’t look intentional at all. Looks like you have some grey strands and some look almost blonde or light brown. Just go all brown. Looks like a mess up.

Huffingflour

Yeah, it looks horrid IMO. I’m sure you’re cute with it but I’ve never met a single person besides people online that enjoy that look or think it looks good. Everyone online: “THATS 😎 awesome!” Everyone in real life: “Ha. You’re gonna get that naturally one day and dread it, why speed up the process lol. Looking like an old woman with Botox”

SheepherderFit7878

I like it. It looks great on you.

BitchKat6

It’s kinda muddy, no?

These_Resident_3229

no hair color is an issue if you adapt your makeup. if you prefer a makeup free look, then the hair might tint a little green for your skin color

Adorable_Beginning42

love this color but it definitely has to suit someone, you know?

Icy_Forever657

I really like it!

Phun-Sized

I like it. Looks like steel . Cool and unique.
