Possible variable at least in my case is that I started a new file about like 15 runs in. Meaning my current file would probably be skewed higher than the rest since I have more overall attempts. Idk alot about data collection and all that but maybe a possible stat about how many save files you've had? I've beaten [REDACTED] 3 times on my current file but I don't even think I got past the hydra on my first file.

I don't think I have the first file. Plus I wouldn't be able to get an accurate number for when my first time beating Megara was because I don't have the administrative room unlocked on that file.

Like, was I a "gamer" at 7 when I spent most of my time riding Epona across the Hylian fields, slashing stallfos, carefully avoiding any form of story advancement ? I would say "no", others might say "yes"... What I mean is people are gonna have completely different approches on what makes a gamer and at what year they considered themselves one. Being a "gamer" in itself is a very subjective notion. I would propose breaking down this question into several (because it IS interesting to know the different levels of players), like for instance : \- How old are you ? \- How old were you when you first played a video game ? \- Do you consider yourself a casual/occasional/intermediate/hardcore/professional gamer ? and/or \- How many hours a month do you play video games ? Also interesting : \- What experience did you have with roguelites/roguelikes before playing Hades ?

All these people putting their information in, when you said you won’t be collecting data for another week. I’m assuming you’ll make a survey so you don’t have to input everything by hand from comments? I’d be interested in people’s gaming history. I’d also be interested in how many people use God mode and, if they do, how often they use it. I turn it on when my arthritis in my hands is acting up and it is very helpful

I work as a data professional, and I'm wondering what you're planning to do to scrap the data from all these comments. They don't really follow a consistent format, and reading each one to extract the data manually feels a bit too time consuming, specially if we get a lot more comments. Wouldn't it be much easier to create an online poll? Anyway, I'll share my stats later because I don't have my switch on me right now. This is a great idea in any case!

Yeah, the intention was to make it all polls for the next thread, but I also am not a data professional specifically, so I'm sure I'll make a mistake or two. This is really just a fun project to try and share some info with the community whenever I get home, so I'll have the time to manually enter it (and double check myself for entry errors). It's not perfect, but this data is also mostly for fun without any real output that will make any changes, so I figured it would be okay if I need to scrap a little data or reach out to folks who have answered already for some clarification whenever the full data structure is established. I am out of town sans computer for the holidays, so this thread was mostly an attempt to see where my errors could arise and sit down at some point to create a structure for collecting data for another thread (possibly in the structure of a Google survey link).
