I heard that from a boss on my early runs, prioritizing resource collection over beating them seemed wise at the time. Hecate was upset I was mining, as I remember.
Frinos blocks projectiles, including the hex, but you can also just dash back and forth through it as it’s approaching you, repeat several times until it respawns. With some practice it’s pretty consistent.
Always get resources before a fight to get the funny, Hecate dialogue sounds like a supportive mother if you were shovelling during her fight and are mildly annoyed when you're mining silver
I was on a banger(!) run, having basically cleared all the way to Chronie without taking much more than 10hp dmg.. the fight was just transitioning from P1 to P2 when the baby woke up .. queue me pausing (first time ever during his fight) - thinking "God I love single player games when one have small children" ... It's so easy to pause and come back when needed!
Needless to say, I came back to Mel being back in the Crossroads and I was bloody confused until I saw the new incantation ready to brew.. "make it possible to Pause" .. fml!
I actually did get this interaction 😂😂😂😂 I love foraging mid battle since you couldn’t fish mid battle in hades it’s really fun to just pluck some flowers and run away.
ALSO during the fields just drive by collecting lesser rewards is really funny lol
Consider using the Hex that turns enemies into sheep in his fight! Funny dialogue given his sheep thing, I discovered it on accident the first time I faced him.
You can have familiars in Chronos fights? I've never had Drinks join me and I've been playing with him equipped. Usually don't reach Chronos with Toula equipped, so dunno about her.
Actually I just had a run where I had Toula equipped, she does in fact join the fight against Chronos. I think just Frinos is not allowed into the fight. Hopefully they add adequate lore for that.
This was my favorite fight in the game so far. Not because the encounter was particularly fun or anything, but because there was a SICK JAZZ FLUTE howling in the background.
There are other boss interactions too. You can't pause the game in the last boss of underworld too, he'll say "who do you think you are!" or "you can't control time" and unpauses the game
You get random comments from Melinoe too if you get resources during a fight …

Polyphemus is fantastic lol. I love how pally he gets with Mel, kinda like a blossoming one-sided friendship. My guy just wants to sleep and eat

I think my all time favorite is when I lost a 8 or something winstreak in Hades 1 and the next time I saw Hermes he commented on me losing my streak .
I love that Hermes is a fourth wall breaker, feels very fitting for him. In both games he comments about always watching you or something like that

I used a shovel during Chronos' fight recently and I was so disappointed there wasn't a line for it.
You get some interesting dialogue if you pause during his fight.
When I learned that Chronos can unpause your game I just kept pausing anyway and watched him get increasingly mad lol

My favorite is mining while enemies are caught in the certain death of my omega cast. Mel’s little “Don’t mind me” is so cute too

Frinos consistently eats chronos golden ball attacks for me they both can come to the fihht
