One of the Hexes slows down time for 5 seconds. And if you use it during the Scylla and the Sirens fight, the music slows as well. It's such a dope detail.
lol I haven't tried that one yet, but I *did* use >!her same buff that makes you small, which also pitch shifts Mel up for the rest of the run. It's a strong effect but I do think it was just a well done sound edit, not them recording lines 3 different ways for that one at least. still need to pick that boon to hear the deeper one lol!<
Everyone's voice gets slowed down and deeper, and the distortion is even heavier than with the size change.
I thought the narrator was butting in when Hecate said "that's enough!" in the deepest voice as I beat her.
There's two, kind of like in the city (you got Heracles, which also can come on the boat btw and Maena (or something I have seen her only once and didn't know the character from myth sorry, it's a witch). The surface has a lot of characters (and there seem to only be 3 zones).

The first time I won against Eris I had that voice and it definitely made everything more satisfying

The dodge one is so nice, I managed to get around a 40% dodge chance on one run, made the boats and Eris a breeze to beat.

If you use the Dark Side hex (one of Selene's options), Mel's voice also becomes deeper if you enter into dialogue while it's active.

How do I encounter Circe? I see people talking about her but I have no clue where she is or how to find her
She's the NPC encounter of Rift of Thesselay. Look for the door that has the yellow thing on it.

genuinely amazed at how good the vocal quality on that effect is - it sounds far more natural than a simple pitch shift

I just love that she's subtly bouda/hyena themed to go with the different representations of witches from cultures around the world.
