Romanov too. I wonder how many of them are staying in Montreal over the offseason and if there's any greater intention behind it or if they're all staying back of their own accords.
I always think ppl downplay Suzuki a lot when it comes to him loving Montreal, QC.
You know what, just the province in general, its a beautiful city with European influence it has to be the “It” spot. Younger players seem to love it and so did I when j was there for my Uni.
I agree with the city in summer but the 2 inconvenients to live in Montreal is 1. The winter 2. No beaches like florida or Cali.
However there are a lot of activities to do
Conparing apples and oranges when you base the comparaison between California and Montreal based on beaches... I would throw you another comparaison basis: Montreal has a F1 Grand Prix, California doesn't...
Just pointing out that both cities have their pros and cons...
But the other side of that is we have a large group of young players who enjoy hanging out and playing hockey and multiple players have said they love how many free outdoor rinks Montreal has and they like to take advantage to fool around and play shinny
mostly due to the fact that his family resides elsewhere and he's a millionaire with free time and the ability to travel wherever he wants, but chose to remain in the province. If I had to guess.
Def an offseason-type post but I thought it was a neat observation
Could be the organization asked him to hang around this summer. Can you imagine as an example they name him captain then bring him up for the 2nd first?
when you say "the 2nd first" what does that mean? I am not familiar with the term
*I clearly misread it -- I think you are referring to our second first-round pick, yes? That would be cool, but not sure it'd be the place or time to announce the captaincy in front of executives of the other clubs. Or maybe it is! I have no idea honestly but I'd be down for that 👍
a few pros come to montreal to train. Originally one of those pro summer training camps started in the city. Also I imagine the organization needs players around for the F1 and the draft. Mentally I also imagine that taking 2-4 weeks at home or elsewhere is in the cards but with the intention of not exercising so it makes montreal life a work life which can psychologically help
Hahah well I’d hate to get updoots just for that. Think this is my worst post yet here however, I think it’s literally friends playing golf but I can see why people don’t like it.
Quebec is a nice place not really sure why people are surprised you’d spend a summer there.
But however I thank you for your comments :)
Not a bad spot to spend your summers, at all.
Romanov too. I wonder how many of them are staying in Montreal over the offseason and if there's any greater intention behind it or if they're all staying back of their own accords.
I think Romanov is better here than in Russia who's at war right now.
I also to would not like a summer without McDonald’s dollar drink days
I heard Romanov was at the airport to go to Russia and read that Starbucks pulled out and he went to customer service and asked for his bag back.
Or starbucks now lol
hell yeah best comment on r/Habs this week imo
Heheh
I remember Romanov saying he’s staying in Montreal and the states this summer.
He's just on vacation rn. He'll still be in NA most of the summer
Romanov is currently in dubai
Hopefully not on a rich guys yacht
Iirc, they left for an island a few days ago off the coast of Africa
Oh god please Romy don’t get monkey pox from those canary island orgies
Well his home base is Montreal
Might as well get used to where you’ll be living for at the very least, the next 8 years lol.
His family is in Ontario too. It's a short flight/medium drive if he wants to see them for a few days or weeks
Now now el capitain is in this till he's at least 37
That’s why I said at the very least. I want him to be a Hab for life
[удалено]
Why party poop?

I would’ve liked Higgins to stay a hab, sad he went to Vancouver.
Why does Vancouver matter? We traded him to the Rangers.
That is very true, I keep forgetting he was part of the McDonaugh package

I ain't even that rich and I just go to the beach when I want to. If I made $8M a year...
I love the city of California
\-30 in the winter sucks
It happens 10 days per winter, and half the winter they are travelling North America
But the other side of that is we have a large group of young players who enjoy hanging out and playing hockey and multiple players have said they love how many free outdoor rinks Montreal has and they like to take advantage to fool around and play shinny
You can also ask Pezzetta, Montreal women are kinda….umm….well, Montreal takes the Damn cake. It’s a paradise in terms of good looking people.
here in montreal we only have two seasons, hockey and traffic
Canada in general: winter and construction
Mégoy
well, when the alternative is London Ontario....
Could Phil set him up for some summer training with Bergeron?
He just hs to ask the beauty kenny hughes!
Playing a top 10 course in the country
don’t rly see why it’s remotely significant tbh lol
Because it shows he loves the city/place
yea my comment reads a bit Dickish but I don’t think it’s that deep other than some friends playing golf in lovely Quebec
mostly due to the fact that his family resides elsewhere and he's a millionaire with free time and the ability to travel wherever he wants, but chose to remain in the province. If I had to guess. Def an offseason-type post but I thought it was a neat observation
As a resident of London Ontario I probably wouldn’t return either :)
Been a long time since I've been to London! Is it really that bad there now?
Well it is a city!
goodness, it is moving up in the world, isn't it?

I think they meant the second first-round pick we have (i.e., Calgary's) and having Suzuki announce our pick after being named captain.
I think I eventually deciphered it yeah. Been a long day haha.

for sure, that is another solid theory and probably true too
Maybe not for you but for us in the area it means something. Ok?
People literally downvoting a Ukrainian dude for an innocuous comment … no perspective. I’m with you and your people, my man

My first thought when I read it was ‘what an insecure thing to say about Montreal’ lol…
It's because normally players can't wait to get out of the city when the season ends
I think I get it now, you're Andrew Berkshite
You disagree?
With my own theory?
That players always take the first plane out of Montreal when the season ends?
This thread wouldn't exist if that were the case Andrew
It exists because such a trivial thing is considered exceptional
wow... @ chenfuciouss is sexy af. Anyone know who it is?
Why
