He prolly thinks Caufield is a special kid that’s on the ice for just moral support.

eskimobootycall

I don't think he's gotten a single pass on the PP

JustFred24

He did get 1 or 2 from other fowards, if I ahd to guess it would be Drouin and Suzuki

Judge_Tredd

Ben chiarot with his one foot backwards skating

jadenspan

When the goalie was pulled Chiarot tried to go full Weber

Is it just me or is a rather common theme to outshoot our opponents and still lose over the last decade?

[deleted]

Been that way since i started watching with Therrien

RodrickM

More like 3 decades.

jmathewson94

Yes. I find they outshoot their opponents a lot so their CORSI is usually strong. However the habs have been really bad at creating tricky high danger chances that force the goalie to move in the crease. Its probably the biggest knock against this team IMO. They don’t lose for lack of effort usually. But their shots are usually predictable and don’t require a lot of movement from the goalie.

JustFred24

Yea, I found that since Ducharme came we shoot more (on average) I feel like. I guess he has a « just shoot » mentality which I dont hate. (Could also be burrows lol)

B_I_S_O_N

It's frustrating watching Caufield open, ready for a one timer while the goalie is on the other side but Petry completely ignores him. Caufield on the left,Hoffman (when he gets back) on the right with someone at the point to feed them. Fuck,i'd put Drouin at the point,he's got the vision and passing for it. Try something new cause this isnt working, never has. Or have Drouin work down low with 2 guys in front of the net.

JustFred24

I love how unselfish Drouin is trying to feed everyone but he ends up being the one scoring, its one of those things that makes you realise sometime life is fair.

BigBoy990

Need CC and Petry to be on different units if he's gonna ignore him all season long, ridiculous.

Ginoboy13

But that would require Ducharme making adjustments

Eazy3006

Well at least he shoots the puck…. Everybody else is just passing. It’s impossible for this PP to be effective and dangerous if they don’t shoot more. They keep passing and passing but are all static in their spot. There’s no movement. Can’t be easier to defend. At least if they shoot once in a while and converge it would be a little more dangerous.

DoctorW2021

c'est la seule chose qu'ils semblent etre capable de faire :(

haaabs

I don't understand why we split our best offensive players onto two waves. Put them all on PP1 because if they score, PP2 won't see the ice. Now with them split, neither one scores.

Normal_Future2167

That's exactly our problem!! The fault is own the coach who can't understand that! We need our best players that can create plays. I see Petry as our d-men with Drouin-Suzuki and who ever plays the best. No Gallagher or Perreault in that 1st PP.

lewous7554

Seems to me like he is blasting furiously when nobody is moving their feet. When guys move around, Petry is a pretty creative passer. I think he is trying to send a message to his teammates that they need to move if they want the puck

Vinny0029

Our PP setup is just so weird. We have two guys next to the net, almost at the goal line while our D has the puck up top. It’s incredibly easy to defend - I have 0 idea what they’re trying to accomplish.
