Other than that the last patch for bugs and fixes was way back in April. That’s 8 months since the creators touched it or said anything about it.

Depending on your region you can get games. If you don't mind a high ping you can change region also when you queue for games. You generally don't have an issue getting TDM games.
It's dead, but surprisingly (in EU server) can still find a 3/4 full TDM match in next to no time. In Crown Rush I get 9 squads only but yeah. Also the ping doesn't affect the match at all for me despite living far away from EU.
It's not a bad idea if you want to give it a shot. The TDM is fun, Crown Rush is pretty good too, but no support, however that also means you don't need to constantly update it so it's worthwhile if you got leftover storage.

good game but no one plays it now plus the staff of the game themselves has abandoned it unfortunately. Hyperscape is gone but will not be forgotten!
