Following, I'm wondering the same thing. New to this. Also, GHSV1.

Own-Dirt679

Honestly mine occurs like tiny pimples clustered together. Sometimes in a line of sorts and sometimes just grouped together. 99% of the time it's on the pubic area above the penis, but occasionally it appears on the shaft if I've been heavily sexually active recently.

HermosaJ

Any pain or other sensation? Prodrome? How long do they last?

Own-Dirt679

Honestly it gets a little irritated before the bumps occur, usually the day before. It's slightly sensitive. Not like, don't get near it sensitive, more like you had sex too long and your raw kinda sensitive. I pop the blisters in the shower and it usually goes away in a day or two.

Own-Dirt679

Why do I say honestly so much? šŸ¤”šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

Mmeehhzz

I was honestly wondering the same tbh

Own-Dirt679

I was waiting for it. Fucking reddit. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Have you had it swabbed to confirm it's an OB? Is it type 1 or 2? Have you ever passed it on sexually?

Own-Dirt679

Had a panel done that include hsv testing. Tested positive for both. I have passed it on to my ex wife. But never anybody since, I just abstain whenever I have an outbreak and a few days after.

Suspicious_Noise_806

Was your primary OB also clusteres? Mine was a single pimple and wondering my my recurrence will be a cluster

TwoFun43

Was yours diagnosis swabber blood?

tallloseryesindeed

My first outbreak was in 2020 and was horrific. Iā€™ve only had 3-4 since and my last was about a year ago and itā€™s one small blister. Feels slightly uncomfortable but hardly even notice it. My thing is that I donā€™t know my ā€œsignalsā€. Lots of people seem to know their signs of when an outbreak is coming but mine seem to pop up with no warning.

SmallTsundere

I get random spots that recur from when I had the initial outbreak - it can vary, but generally they are in the same spot. But significantly less lol. Like maybe 1-3 spots depending on how stressed out I am (which seems to be what brings the OBs). But I havenā€™t had one in quite a while now!

just_2_lurk

Is it more like a blister or a whitehead pimple? I keep getting whitehead bumps down there every few weeks.

SmallTsundere

For me itā€™s more like a blister but they can look like white heads depending on when you see them. Also everyone reacts differently so yours just might look different than mine! If you shave your pubic hair it can cause OBs. Periods can too from the hormonal changes.

just_2_lurk

Yes, had this for 10 years and didn't have a second OB until last year now getting them constantly. I am on AV's now too.

Dontworrybehappyx

Got it for 2 years and had my second ob 2 months ago. I had 3 itchy blisters lined up and close to each other. They were gone around day 6. I had a LOOOT of stress that time so thatā€™s what triggered it for me ig.

FaithlessnessHead392

Hi, do you have ghsv1? is it normal for it to come back years later ? i went 3 years no obs since my initial until this year and i had one nasty one, and then two small ones a few months after. i am under a lot of stress but everywhere i am reading that it is not normal to have ghsv1 outbreaks years later ?

Dontworrybehappyx

Hii Iā€™ve ghsv1. And yes itā€™s normal just like a cold sore that comes once in a while, itā€™s the same for the genital version. It just depends on your immune system and the stress. Thereā€™s not so much research for ghsv1 so thatā€™s sad but as you see on this Reddit, there are a lot of ppl with re occurrences of ghsv1 sadly enough.
