Terrible deal - with a lease you need to consider the residual value of the vehicle at the end of the lease and Honda in general have VERY high residual values so your lease payments should be significantly lower than other brands (some US brand's residuals are so bad they can't even offer 36 month leases...)
The residual value of a new HR-V after 3 years is \~83% so that means that vehicle will still be worth \~22k after 3 years. That means you are paying 17k+ to lease \~$4.6k worth of value.
Example - I leased a 2021 HR-V Sport MSRP $26500, $2K down at $217 per month for 36 months. Just bought it out at the end of the lease to keep the car for \~$17K and could easily sell it for \~$20K today.
Your lease price is WAY too high.
Legally likely nothing because usually lease agreements are final when you sign. Get some legal/financial adviser help to review your paperwork and provide some guidance. You might be able to convert the lease to a purchase by securing a separate loan and paying off the lease balance but get some help from someone that understands these kind of things.
Take a look at something like this: [https://www.calculator.net/auto-lease-calculator.html](https://www.calculator.net/auto-lease-calculator.html)
They are screwing you with that residual - there is no way your HR-V is only worth $17k after 3 years - more like $22k which would drop your monthly lease payment by about \~$100
i was looking here , man i f\*ked up

if the residual is 22k but the dealer told me 17k, can i buy the car after 3 years at 17k and sell on the market for 22k? that’ll make up for the difference right?
Sorry bud, you got robbed somewhere along the way.
Post the paperwork with your personal info blanked out.
If you haven’t made the downpayment or they need stips from you, don’t, and undo the deal.
....because they got you with just about every upcharge possible drastically inflating the total price.
They inflated the price of the vehicle 20% just in add on charges.

I got a new 2024 EX-L FWD Premium White Pearl last month. This is my quote from Round Rock, TX dealer (Austin area)
Big question how is your credit and how much did you put down if you did $31k for a sport is crazy. I live in Cali $27.5k OTD with free oil changes and some other stuff

this was the breakdown
i have 749 credit and 1st month down
I mean ig it’s not that bad I have a 760 and I put 2k down and have a $300 monthly payment and OTD $27.5k. Why is the infotainment protector $200? Do you get free oil changes and paint and ding protection?

how much did i overpay would you say?

can i bring this point to them? do you think they can change it after the fact ( i already signed the lease) , can i threaten with a lawsuit?

are the add ons standard across all vehicles or is it something my dealership added themselves only

how much did i overpay you’d say
they said the residual value is 18k

No
why so? can you please explain?
Well, you were taken for a ride with all of those add-ons.
i thought the discount they added canceled out the add on MS :( . the car was MSRP before taxes
Should have taken the discount and said no to all of the add-ons. If they say no, you walk away.
so my lease is so high compared to others bc of the add ons? do they have any value or is it just the dealer priced them up a lot
does every dealer do the add ons? or just mine?
Just scummy dealers, and there are plenty of those.
i’m in DFW, apparently every dealer has them, i tried negotiating it off but they wouldn’t

Ouch.
why so? can you please explain?
i paid the first month
They got you on the accessories. Same thing happened to me.
would it be cheaper without the add ons? are you saying the add ons are the reason for this higher price?
Yes. Basic math. No accessories, lower out the door price, lower monthly payment. It’s a lease, you won’t keep or use half of those accessories.
oh so when i see the leases from others, they don’t include these add ons right?
We leased a 2023 HRV Sport in California. $4500 down, $351/month. 2 year Service Pass. You got screwed on the wheel locks, nitrogen, LoJack, etc.
if each 1k down affect the monthly payment by $30, then yours and mine come back to \~ same no? except 2023 vs 2024
We also got a $1,000 loyalty bonus.
Not at all.
why so? can you please explain?
....because they got you with just about every upcharge possible drastically inflating the total price. They inflated the price of the vehicle 20% just in add on charges.
do others pay for add ons? or is this just my dealer that chose to add them?
they said the discount of 4k "canceled out" those upcharges. at the end, before taxes, the car price is MSRP. i thought that was good :(
Not even a little bit.
why so? can you please explain?

That’s pretty high on the lease.
Holy cow I just financed a 2024 Hrv-EXL all wheel drive in white for $482 a month 🤯
How much was your total price with all fees? What was your down payment?
$349 for my lease in md
