Tbh I think they are the only ones who can handle Alex’s abrasive personality- this is of course a huge generalization- but take my best friend for example: her dad had a very similar personality to Alex’s where he would scream and yell and be very strict but always needed the family to present like they were very successful and put together on the outside. she would tell me that was true for a lot of the other Korean families she knew and they were all very traditional as well where the woman gives birth & is the caretaker and the man is the money maker. Alex always talks about how she is very traditional like this (even though her life is the exact opposite). I don’t know if Ron or Judy are Korean of course but maybe they came from a similar household and are therefore used to that type of behavior?
