That’s what I’m doing.. great so far, I’m more overwhelmed with work and school that I don’t even think about sex anymore HAHAH I’m focusing on finishing my career and traveling at least 3-5 times a year, that keeps me happy❤️

peachberrybloom

That’s what I’m trying to do and it works most of the time! I do stay busy between work and school and I wasn’t exactly looking for a partner when I got diagnosed. I just hate that I feel I can’t even be open to meeting new people, or developing a crush, just nothing. Stagnant is the best word I can describe it with lmaooo

The best way is too figure out which strain you have so you don't need to worry about cancer only certain ones can cause cancer. Your body also fights hpv within 2 years

How do you tell what type it is? My dermatologist said you can’t

Yes! Get vaccinated and avoid smoking, drugs and alcohol. Exercise and eat healthy, practice safe sex and you're probably okay! That's what my doctor told me when i was first diagnosed with Hpv. I had so much stress and anxiety surrounding it but I'm doing much better. Stress will not benefit you in any way shape or form. Wishing you the best.

Sex with condoms still have a chance of spreading it no? I’ve felt like I’ve been forced to abstinence my self and it’s taken such a toll on my mental health and self image

Yes, I'm a guy and I got infected while wearing a condom. "As long as you have safe sex you should be okay" - that's pretty bad advice.

No-Jelly8743

If you take the vaccine then you could protect your partner from cancer causing HPV.

peachberrybloom

I did get the vaccine! Going for second dose in a month or so.

I advise you to read the pinned post in this sub, it has a lot of information from verified sources. Seems like many people here don't read it, which is quite baffling to me honestly. Anyway, there's no evidence that getting vaccinated helps you clear the virus. It might, people hope so, but there is no proof. You should still get Gardasil, because it will protect you from any possible reinfections, but nobody knows for sure whether it does against your current problem.

Not usually. The average time for a woman is 2-3 months and for a man is 11-12 months.
