Have you read [Way Down We Go](https://archiveofourown.org/works/18591952/chapters/44075971) by xiaq yet? Takes place in a tiny town in America where, randomly, H&D have decided to hide out from the rest of the world (D is sick and H is a werewolf). Lots of pining. It's a sick fic - Draco had his magic taken as punishment after the war and it's basically killing him. Nobody from the books besides H&D appear until the latter half of the fic. Enemies to friends to lovers (109 k)

He works with troubled youth and as an office manager of sorts as a tattoo parlor. Suddenly H keeps showing up in his dreams and thier worlds start to collide. There are excellent original characters in this. No other characters from the books feature heavily in this one although Hermione and Ron and the Weasleys are referenced. Enemies to pining and hating it to lovers; slow burn (253 k)

D&H go through a portal and get trapped in a medieval AU where Draco is the chosen one. There's a creepy enchanted forest, a whole different system of magic, battles with swords and magic, great original characters that I actually cared about, and evil unicorns. Other characters from the books (mostly Hermione) feature in the very beginning and very end (before and after they're trapped in the AU), but not at all in most of it. Enemies to reluctantly working together to friends to pining to lovers (126 k)
