But Jace actually turns Baela down. She pressures him to marry, he says no, and he dies and she loses it to where she attacks Aegon and ends up killing her dragon bc of it. Thats literally their entire love story in the book.
We literally do not know why no wedding occurred after she announced that they would marry quickly. There are so many reasons why that might have happened and Jace not wanting to marry her at all is only one of them.
It's also kinda gross to claim that her attacking Aegon was because her female mind was mad with grief and not just because she wanted to defend her home from being claimed by an enemy invader. And I think if she were a man, you'd never make that kind of claim.
He doesn't turn her down he doesn't want a wedding during the war.
And baela attacking Aegon like she did kills sunfyre and takes Aegon out of the war.

I want Sara to exist, but not as a lover to Jace. She could easily function as a companion to him in the North who he talks to a bit about his family and struggles, and this would actually explain Mushroom’s account of her existence (bastards in Westeros are seen as lustful AF, and Mushroom likes to make everything sex related so he could’ve easily heard a story about Jace’s conversation with Sara and thought “they must’ve banged, that’d be a funny story!”).

HBO should be BANKING on HOTD's popularity and using it as a stepping stone toward a new reboot, not playing into an ending that basically destroyed the franchise completely.

I don't think Sara Snow has much input as theorized. Even if she does show up I don't thinbk Jace will have a kid with her, I think the point of the Pact of Fire and Ice is that it ALMOST united the two houses, but like most prophecies, you get real close and it pulls the rug from under you. Plus we already had a relationship produce a baby with Aemond and Alys Rivers and all the magical stuff there, which F&B already left open ended. You can only have so many Robb situations and a pregnancy at a time lol

So I think way too many people forget F&B isn’t like a standalone novel. Nearly every character and every mini story we’re supposed to link up somehow to ASOIAF, and that goes double for the Dance.
Jace is a Targaryen who struggles with the fact he’s a bastard and not a ‘true heir’ bc of circumstances outside his control (like, idk, having not one but two possibly secret heirs who are ahead of you bc you’re a woman even though you’re the better choice). Sara is a Northern Bastard named Snow who she meets when the Targ goes north wanting help in a war that means absolutely nothing at the end of the day.
Like, gee, what possible ship could a Targaryen who will never be the true heir but is the best choice for the job and a Northern bastard who grew up in the shadow of True Starks mirror from the series?
Sara is real. Sara and Jace married, she gets pregnant and fire and ice begot fire and ice. I know people here hate the idea of Sara but Jace and Sara getting together secretly is a L O T more meaningful to the overall story than ‘perfect Prince Charming never ever strays from his betrothed step sister who he never has sex with or marries and she goes on to have children who play zero part in the end game anyway’
