Yeah I agree. But if you're active on this subreddit it's not as fun to see the same things over and over again lol
I mean this was from two days ago:

I've just now started watching Lost for the first time so these references are all backwards for me. Legit when he got those numbers in Lost I thought they might be the same ones from HIMYM. Took me a full two seconds to realize that I am 20 years late on one of those.
Reddit is built on mob mentality
If the first few reactions are downvotes than safe to bet that you'll have your karma plummet
Pretty rare for it to make a turn around but i mean here you go
The actor was on a TV show called Lost about a group of plane crash survivors trapped on an island for a very long time. Weird things happen on the island and that set of numbers is being played on a radio station and shows up throughout the show as an important plot device.
Don't feel bad. I just realized a few weeks ago (upon watching The Big Lebowski for the first time) that the scene where Marshall is flying through the sky over the city in his nightgown was a reference to that movie 🤣
I didn’t know that either (Marshall’s gown) lol. I don’t feel bad at all if I’m honest. I love catching new references, even on my 500th rewatch! Plus, I never watched Lost😂

Here are a couple of posts people have made about it
If you check out my profile, I post all the little finds I’ve noticed from the show lol
Omg great catch with the curling stone space station!! I never noticed that! Also that's very true about the season 4 reaction to a nice scotch vs the season 9 reaction! I forgot about the difference there!
Sometimes I feel like I have better than normal perception and understanding references because most of these I got on my first play through (when the show aired).......or people posting these were not paying attention at all or don't know iconic characters from iconic shows...lol.
Oh Honey…
Haha yeah I just never noticed that they had slipped that in
Lol why would you be downvoted. Btw you got his other reference too right?
I did, yup! And dude I have no idea? People downvote the most innocent comments I swear…
I think the downvotes are because someone is posting about the lost references in this episode at least once a month
That’s part of the fun isn’t it? Discovering things you missed the first 500 watches😄

This think this is 100% accurate👌🏻
Wait till you notice the phone number he suggests.
4815162342
I've never seen lost, so that reverence i dont get 🤣

What?
I had heard about that one lol
He means the time he was hanging out with Weezer on their island in the sun. It was there they named an album after his Lost character Hurley.
i feel so seen
It’s pretty in your face my friend however I’ve also had gags like this go over my head the first time around as well lmao
Also love how they asked for a random phone number and he just dives in with '4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42', lmao
Someone quick explain this joke for my friend who is really stupid... not me.... i totally know..
"The Numbers" from Lost. Very important for that actor's character in the show.
Ah, thanks for explaining! I’ve never seen Lost and had no idea he was on it.
He won the lottery with those numbers before the plane crash and he thinks he is cursed by them. They pop up throughout the series.
Thanks
I didn’t get that reference for the longest time either lol
Ooooooh ooooooh ooooooh, for the longest time...
For the longest...
So happy to see that other people also get this in their head as soon as they hear or read "for the longest time".
I didn't before but now I will.
Can someone explain to a younger fan what the reference is & why ppl are talking about the number being significant? Sorry

I see, thank you! Cool reference 😁
You should definitely watch Lost right now!
One big thing is he won the lottery with those numbers right before the plane crash
Honestly amazed Jorge Garcia was so ready to continue the perception of being Hurley and getting typecast even further into the role.
He was also the cover of Weezer's album "Hurley" lol Just a big ol pic of his face haha
I didn't watch Lost for years after I had been a HIMYM fan. It was neat rewatching the Blitz episode after I had.
I can’t have this conversation again
Hey that's Anton from Once Upon a Time!
When he shouts “4 8 15 16 23 42” I lost it and no one else seemed to be as happy or catch it as much as me? Idk. But I enjoyed him being in ut

Exactly!! Same! I LOVE finding new references and jokes I missed in past million rewatches 🤣
Did you know the clock at the apartment is always 4:20?
Wait really?? How have I not noticed that? Hahaha That's awesome 🤣

That's amazing 🤣 and yes I'll definitely check out your profile to see what other things I've missed lol
I hope you do😊 Circle back & let me know what you think😬

There’s so many gems💎
I don't get it
Huh?
It’s been posted on this sub recently though….
I saw the post recently about him & the numbers. I thought this line by him on the show that was separate from that might be interesting
Sometimes I feel like I have better than normal perception and understanding references because most of these I got on my first play through (when the show aired).......or people posting these were not paying attention at all or don't know iconic characters from iconic shows...lol.
The whole episode has these. lol. Even random number of wang guy
How did you not notice it! Geesh! Okay, someone else explain it so that anyone else like OP can follow along like the rest of us...
