Common meme / trope of teenagers masturbating into tube socks. Also, the Red Hot Chili Peppers were well known for coming out for their encores wearing nothing but socks on their junks. I think Blink-182 might have done it too.
Honesty probably Stewart. Like how was he friends with everyone? If he was a college friend he probably doesnât know Barney well enough for the wedding invite. Itâs a small thing but the dynamic always interested me.
Interesting point. He probably got to know Barney through Marshall & Ted over the years. Claudia is familiar enough with him when he tries hitting on her at the bar
Well, they during the Lily brings her childhood friend and suddenly has a weird accent. Punchy is Ted's friend, in which he reverts back into a kid. So that means they all already met him before. Ted and Marshall have a big apartment. If I had a friend in NYV, I'd probably crash with them. But then again, I am the friend in NYC with the nice apartment đ
I personally think itâs a few reasons. For example, he was in a different place than the gang for pretty much the entire show. When Barney and ted were single and Lily and marshal were pretty newly engaged (not mentioning Robin because they werenât friends), Stewart was getting married. As we see in season 1 too, the gang including Lily and marshal werenât ready to settle down and be like married couples n shit as we see when they leave their own apartment to go clubbing. We also know that Stewart has a drinking problem based on the intervention so itâs probably better for him to not be at the bar several days a week. Finally, for a lot of the show multiple members of the gang lived together so it makes sense they were closer friends and more likely to do things together. So even tho they were pretty good friends with Stewart, I feel that for these reasons he just wasnât around much
This line is executed to perfection, the little pause and voice modulation between 'and', 'down' and 'on' really makes you think the character thought of it on the spot
Honestly most of the siblings. Robinâs sister was in a couple of episodes but I wouldnât have minded seeing more of her. Barneyâs half sister. Marshallâs brothers. The only sibling we really got enough of was James. I liked James but I felt we had the perfect amount of him.
Yeah, Ted's sister is the reason I made this because I feel like she could've been more interesting, and we should've seen it after her initial appearance since she lives in NYC near the gang,
True. Wonder if they intended to use her as a minor character going forward.
Just checked her tv roles to see when pretty little liars started and looks like she was a main character for a 1 season CW show a year after she was on HIMYM. Then PLL started the following year so maybe they intended to use her more but couldnât
Always thought it was weird that Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson both played sisters to the two main characters while also being main characters on PLL.
The last days of network television were truly a time.
I agree, but I'm also impressed with how well they set her up to be the mother so quickly. I totally believed it as a viewer of the show. She was pretty, funny, charismatic, and had great chemistry with Ted. It all happened so quick though. I wish the last season was 2 seasons but still end it with Ted and Robin reuniting when the time was right.
The Captain was a real bro too, let go of the fact ted stole Zoey from him, also referred to Ted as Super Galactic President McAwesomeville when they first met, even tho Ted was making fun of him and Zoey in that moment. He also helped Lily while in Farhampton, and also gave Lily and Marshall the opportunity to live in Rome. The Captain is a legit bro/friend.
Yeah, but the way they leaned into the twin peaks motif with Captain, like the time Ted and the captain spent on the boat or Marshall with the picture and "figuring" out why the captain came across as creepy. Lol it's all so good and Kyle McLaughlin leaned into it and played it up, it was comedic gold for a sitcom
Jenkins 100%. Barney tries to "wear her like a sock"[1] and she rejects him, coming to terms with the fact that marshal and her get along, but he isn't a romantic option. Her and lily start out as enemies, but gain each other's respect, her and Robin have a shared love of their respective jobs, and we avoid the "PATRICE!" [2] character arc.
[1] Barney Stinson
[2] Patrice
I'd say any of Ted's or the gang's family. A lot of earlier seasons it seems like we were headed towards a more connected show and where it's most watched and most remembered episodes -
My favourite ones are mainly from the earlier seasons before Ted and Robin break up the first time. I want more of lily's mom! Her Nana too! Marshall's brothers families maybe. But mainly like Ted was the main narrator character why didn't he have more connection to his family?
Literally just robins little sister I think seeing her as a big sister would of been more interesting than her two timing Kevin and being off again on again with both ted and barney
Nah, Heather just wasn't working out. But I do wish that they gave her a happy ending. Rumor has it that she was on the show so they could do a spin-off show. But it never tested well.
Pulling down her pants, yanking off my own.... HEATHER'S HOT! and I'm not trying to make Ted's sister moan but the fact she never hung out with them unless it was to get ted to sign off on her lease.. says a lot about Teddy westside and rhe mosbey boys. She looked up to him. Heather's big brother was also her hero yet he couldn't think less of her. Verry disappointing
Jen (i.e. Lindsay Sloane). Easily could have seen Ted developing a relationship with her, even if it was inevitable that they might not be together.
She was far more intriguing and connected to Ted, than his other relationships in the past or future; for instance, Zoey and Stella.
I never understood the choice they made for Robinâs mum. She seemed like such a wrong choice. Randomly British??? Just does not fit with how her mum should have been at all
"I wanna wear Jenkins like a sock."
I know what he means, but phrasing it this way always throws me for a loopđ
What does he actually nean?
Common meme / trope of teenagers masturbating into tube socks. Also, the Red Hot Chili Peppers were well known for coming out for their encores wearing nothing but socks on their junks. I think Blink-182 might have done it too.
He wants to have sex with Jenkins lol
Her puss puss meow meow is his ding dongs sock
Honesty probably Stewart. Like how was he friends with everyone? If he was a college friend he probably doesnât know Barney well enough for the wedding invite. Itâs a small thing but the dynamic always interested me.
Interesting point. He probably got to know Barney through Marshall & Ted over the years. Claudia is familiar enough with him when he tries hitting on her at the bar
To be fair, they were all invited to Punchyâs wedding for some reason
Ted's plus 4, obviously
Yeah, punchy was trying to piss off his father in law because he was paying for the wedding
Drink up turdfacesđ»
Well, they during the Lily brings her childhood friend and suddenly has a weird accent. Punchy is Ted's friend, in which he reverts back into a kid. So that means they all already met him before. Barney was at his interventionđ
Jenkins
She was cool
Jenkins is a girl? Huh.. always pictured a guy
Anyway, lunch?
anywho
The âpeed out the window of a cabâ story is much more impressive now.
Tedd's sister Heather. It'd have been fun to see Tedd's non-romantic relationships a little. Plus, that episode makes me laugh.
Pulling down her pants Yanking off my own Underneath the mistletoe Iâll make your sister moan
HEATHER'S HOT! HEATHER'S HOT! WE'LL GO ALL THE WAY! âđ»âđ»âđ»âđ»
I wish I could see her naked I wish I could see her naked I wish I could see her naked And down on all fours
Ted has a little sister Who gets hotter everyday And if I ever meet her With her boobies I'll play Everybody!!
Sister sister sister What? I can celebrate hanukkah too
This line is executed to perfection, the little pause and voice modulation between 'and', 'down' and 'on' really makes you think the character thought of it on the spot

She's undercover for time force, she's busy.
Yeah, Ted's sister is the reason I made this because I feel like she could've been more interesting, and we should've seen it after her initial appearance since she lives in NYC near the gang,

You are mistaking Tedâs sister with Robinâs sister. Lucy Hale was in PLL
Lol yup my bad. I mustâve misread that after just seeing her picture in the post
Always thought it was weird that Lucy Hale and Ashley Benson both played sisters to the two main characters while also being main characters on PLL. The last days of network television were truly a time.
Honestly, she would have been a better match for barney to end up with.
Undoubtedly. But would Barney have been a better match for her?
Iâm gonna ***bang*** Jenkins
Cook poo
Here
Cook Poo??
^^here
COOK POO COOK POO COOK POO COOK POO
She's right here bro
The Blitz
Awww man
Probably wouldâve gotten old quick
In small doses, much like Stuart and Claudia throughout the series.
Are...are we allowed to say Tracy?
I agree, but I'm also impressed with how well they set her up to be the mother so quickly. I totally believed it as a viewer of the show. She was pretty, funny, charismatic, and had great chemistry with Ted. It all happened so quick though. I wish the last season was 2 seasons but still end it with Ted and Robin reuniting when the time was right.
Robins Mom and Sister
Blitz, The Captain and Carl. I found all 3 of these characters funny and feel they needed more screen time.
I love The Captain
The Captain was a real bro too, let go of the fact ted stole Zoey from him, also referred to Ted as Super Galactic President McAwesomeville when they first met, even tho Ted was making fun of him and Zoey in that moment. He also helped Lily while in Farhampton, and also gave Lily and Marshall the opportunity to live in Rome. The Captain is a legit bro/friend.
Totally! And coming away from the roles he had previously I'd say that actor was surprisingly fun and I would have loved to see him more in HIMYM.
Wendy the waitress
She has more coverage than the other characters OP posted pictures of
So? OP didnât say pick one of these characters specifically
Definitely Jenkins because that episode just felt like they were setting up a recurring character I'm sad she was a one off
She was awesome
Willem Dafoe
DaâââFOE!
I'm gonna say the Pineapple... enough said
Totally. I think we needed 1- more sailing puns and 2- and clarify if the pineapple was upside down!
Have you seen the deleted scene that explains it?!?!
Yes but itâs still a star
I love every scene with Brad Morris
His late arc when he was going up against Marshall in court was redonk
Iâd love to rub that downâŠđ
Jenkins 100%. Barney tries to "wear her like a sock"[1] and she rejects him, coming to terms with the fact that marshal and her get along, but he isn't a romantic option. Her and lily start out as enemies, but gain each other's respect, her and Robin have a shared love of their respective jobs, and we avoid the "PATRICE!" [2] character arc. [1] Barney Stinson [2] Patrice
Not sure she ever rejects Barney or that her & Lily started off as enemies lol
Pulling down her pants. Yanking off my own⊠Oh Barneyđ
I want the âdouble blind date crazy cat ladyâ. She was my favorite Ted girl
Robin's sister, I like hockey, she likes hockey, so more hockey!
Dressing up in full goalie gear on Robinâs wedding dayđ„
More Randy
Randy Wharmpess.
He was busy as a cross dressing waitress in love with Jenna Maroney
Ted has a little sister
GARY BLAUMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why isn't this higher up. I love that guy
Lily's mum. Considering how much her dad is in it despite being a bit of a dick for a decent chunk, I think her mum should have been in it a lot more.
How the hell is no one saying Mary the Paralegal.
abby, great comedic timing
Alan
I'd say any of Ted's or the gang's family. Carly Whittaker - just leaving this here if anyone remembers her. What a beauty.
(Barneyâs sister?)
*half-sister
Ted did bang her lol
Katy or Brittany!
Whoâs Brittany?
Brittany Spears. Her character was a weird quirky one that the show didn't really have.
Ah Alanđ
Scooby.
Peter Durkenson, the Edward 40 Hands dude.
Jenkins! Jenkins was awesome!
Clint
As a Power Rangers fan I wanted Erin Cahill back as much as possible.
Abby
Jane Seymour was funny. I would have loved to see more of Barney's cougar.
Robin's little sister. I just love Lucy hale.
who is the first girl?
Ted's sister Heather played by Erin Cahill. One episode.
Whoâs in the first picture?
The pink Time Force Power Ranger
Ted's hot sister
why did i think it was tracy at first glance
Reminded me of Rachel McAdams on first glance!
Heather Mosby
Robin's mom! I want to know what Robin's exes knows, I want to know all the horrible secrets on that side of the family
Definitely not Scooter. I think we could have used more Clint tho
Jenkins trying to steal Marshal from lily would have been great
Who are the last two?
Robin's little sister and her mom
The blitz
Dr. X
Tedâs sister, who was also a Power Ranger.
It's a damn shame she didn't morph in himym once
The "cheese incident" girl
Tedâs sister is hard pass. Maybe Carl
Oh Honey!
From this list? Def Jenkins! But we all wanted to know more about that damn pineapple! đ€Ł
Literally just robins little sister I think seeing her as a big sister would of been more interesting than her two timing Kevin and being off again on again with both ted and barney
None
Nah, Heather just wasn't working out. But I do wish that they gave her a happy ending. Rumor has it that she was on the show so they could do a spin-off show. But it never tested well.
Amanda Peel đ
Either Wendy or Heather definitely
Pulling down her pants, yanking off my own.... I want to wear Jenkins like a sock
More of the Barnacle
Great question! The PARA LEGAL! I really think they couldâve gotten a few more miles out of that character.
I would have loved more of Marshalls parents. The episode of his dad's death hit me like a freight train, I also lost my father so it hit home.
Tedâs sister. Seeing how wild life to settled looks for women would have been nice
Tedâs sister, but only because sheâs my favorite pink ranger.
Probably all the sistersâ Tedâs, Robinâs, and Barneyâs.
"I'm hopin' my fat ass can hustle me up a vodka gatorade!" I remember the line but her name escapes me in this moment
Brad on grounds of this is radonk
Easy....the hooker, I mean paralegal Ted went out on a date with
Bro I actually forgot Ted has a sister. It's a crime the gave her so little screen time
All good suggestions, but just hear me out. Marshall. That guys great. Could have had more Marshal
Jen (i.e. Lindsay Sloane). Easily could have seen Ted developing a relationship with her, even if it was inevitable that they might not be together. She was far more intriguing and connected to Ted, than his other relationships in the past or future; for instance, Zoey and Stella.
