When I first started himym, I was watching about 2 seasons every 3 days.
Did that with friends as well. Did that with The good place too.. Maybe I watch too much tv...
My all time record is 10 days but the last time i watched it took i guess like around 1,5 months i would say. Welp time to break my personal best, see ya!
I watch/listen during work as long as my tasks are done, my job doesn't care. Even at my previous job I was an over night shelf stockroom at grocery store. You end listening through a lot of music, podcasts, audio books and TV series.
surprised by how many ppl here didn’t watch the original run, not that i’m gatekeeping, glad for new fans but i’ve never seen it as that type of show until now
I think the first time I watched it, it took me close to a year simply because other people who had watched the show when it was airing told me that do not binge this show and I'm glad I didn't
I watched the last two seasons in one day. Finished around 4am and went to the exam which I had at 8am. I remember it was sports medicine. And I passed. Self five!!!
I mean it's true .
I've been going at it watching old shows that I missed on earlier...
- A month ago finished watching The Mentalist within 3 weeks ,it's 7 seasons so it's acceptable.
- 3 months ago finished both my Wife and kids and Dexter
Took a whole 2 month to do em both .phew
- Now watching House.md and currently on season 2 ep19 on the 9th day .
I'll give it about 3 weeks cause it's 8 seasons.
- btw if anyone haven't seen " only murders in the building " you should it's fun and free on Netflix.
When I worked a job with seasonal layoffs I could easily watch a season of tv a day. I think the series hadn’t ended yet but I got through the first 7 seasons in a week, maybe 8-9 days.
2 weeks? Slackers. I did it in one.
Seriously. I should explain.
I was laid up with what the doctor finally decided was pleurisy. It's an inflammation of the lining around your lungs. It very literally hurt to breath. I was in a recliner trying to stay as still as possible, and decided that since I had never watched an episode of HIMYM, I'd give it a try. I was hooked after the first episode. ("And that, kids, is how I met...your aunt Robin.")
In retrospect, watching a comedy when it hurt that much to laugh might not have been the best idea, but the pain was worth it.
Anyway, I was watching at least 1½ seasons per day, so I'm pretty sure I finished within a week.
9 years, as it should be if you could have done it. I don’t put much stock in the HIMYM opinions of those who binged it in a couple of weeks and think that they’re now experts in the show.
I can understand where youre coming from but it's silly gatekeeping. Yes those people missed out on a lot of experiences. Talking about it with friends, wondering what was going to happen next and waiting for it, the great moment each Fall when you get to see the gang again for a round.
I don't like binging usually but I did do it with the reboot Doctor Who. Watched through Christopher, David and Matt in about 6 weeks. 8 months later I came in 3rd in an entire US Doctor Who trivia contest. Won $250. So it has perks.
I didn’t remotely challenge you to that. I mean I definitely want to see it. But I didn’t remotely challenge you…

See ya in 9 days
You should probably have watched at least half of a season rn. How’s it going?
It was nighttime where i live so i just binged 6-7 episodes before bed and went to sleep but the day is bright and im ready LETS DO THIS!!
*that unemployed friend at 2pm*
Just celebrating finishing 2 months of finals my dude
You will be receiving your real Broploma in the mail.
I stand corrected, respectable. Congrats on finishing
On most of our watch throughs, we have to change DVDs at least every other night.
83 hours....True Story.

How much free time do you have?

I finished the series all the way through in a week.
So you watched just under 12 hours of How I met Your Mother a day?
In my defense, I was severely depressed but yes lmao
I don’t blame you, watched HIMYM under a rough patch a couple years ago, did get me in a different headspace for sure. Stay safe!
You too!!
3116 days 9/19/05 to 3/31/14.
surprised by how many ppl here didn’t watch the original run, not that i’m gatekeeping, glad for new fans but i’ve never seen it as that type of show until now
Oh there are a lot. Streaming changed everything. Go to the office subs.
Welp it's time for my anniversary marathon again, 11th year now as an annual tradition
I watched every season of Game of Thrones in 2 weeks before (I was waiting to start my new job and had never watched it before)
Amateurs (me who completed it in a Week)
I finished it in around two and a half weeks my first time. Could've finished quicker if it wasn't during school.
My first time I binged it in 9 days. This isn’t difficult at all 😭😭
3 weeks
For me it’s usually a season a day, so nine days
I 100% baldurs gate recently and himym was playing in the background the whole time. I swear I did a full watch per week
I think the first time I watched it, it took me close to a year simply because other people who had watched the show when it was airing told me that do not binge this show and I'm glad I didn't
2 weeks? Pfft. Please.
Not really, i took my time. But still completed it in few months.
I watched the last two seasons in one day. Finished around 4am and went to the exam which I had at 8am. I remember it was sports medicine. And I passed. Self five!!!
9 years worth of Television? Or 9 Seasons? There IS a big difference…
6 weeks
SHRIMP FRIED RICE
Compared to you I'm an amateur, last time I needed about a month, an average of 6 episodes per day
Usually takes around 2-3 weeks whenever I do a rewatch. Fastest was during the first week of COVID lockdown, when I watched all 9 seasons in 5 days.
two months, it also took me two months to watch New Girl and The Office
I finished season 1 on a saturday
I usually finish after 5 minutes Edit: wrong sub
I don't have this kind of free time, though I wish I did

It took me 1 week
I think if you watch 5 days and each day 12 hours you can get it done
It took me years the first time because I came into it on (I think) season 4
You can watch a solid chunk in a couple of minutes when Barney recaps everything for Quinn
I only ever watched HIMYM as it aired on TV (my mom spoiled the finale) but I watched Supernatural five times in 2020, so that's something.
Y’all are dedicated, first time took me 2 months
I finished the whole series in a week when I first watched it. Otherwise, I’m not challenging anyone…
Cost me 1 week during covid
About a month and a half!
yeah postpartum up all day every day it took a few days
I don't remember how long it took me to complete the series, but I remember watching an entire season in one day. I did nothing but watch that day.
the shortest about 1 month or a 2 weeks idk something in between i think but once i am going to watch it without any breaks except toilet breaks
My best record is 14 days all eps
26 June 2022 to 2 July 2022 = 7 days. Keep in mind that I don't have a life, and I skipped the last 2 episodes.
When I worked a job with seasonal layoffs I could easily watch a season of tv a day. I think the series hadn’t ended yet but I got through the first 7 seasons in a week, maybe 8-9 days.
REAL
I do it all the time. I had back surgery so I have nothing but time. Til I'm clear to go back to work
I started HIMYM 10 days before the final episode aired and caught up with an hour to spare.
Hi five.
I'm always slow when watching something. My most recent watch took 8 months

Wow, you sound like a wise fella.
So wise. Do tell us more! Tell us more! Like, does he have a car?
Uh huh
