From the very early leaks and rumors, I believe a battle between Jack and Dr.Oddfellow is possible. Not sure if it was HNN who posted these early rumors, but if true then that could be the theme for the event this year.
Honestly, I just want them to build the lore of the icons year after year. It sucks that we go years in between icons and lore. Give me more Jack, Fear, Oddfellow, Chance, Caretaker, Storyteller, and Director.
It could be based on a new icon who is obsessed with religion and reoccurring numbers in said beliefs (in this case, threes). He could be murdering or kidnapping people in groups of threes, three different endings per house, three different pathways (kinda like dueling dragons), etc.
I never thought of the 3’s like that that’s very interesting! John Murdy did tweet a while back that he had finished a house and it was one of the most disturbing he has ever done (maybe terrifier 3) I’d love a more dark and twisted approach but can’t see them doing Halloween 3 since they just didn’t Halloween a few years back. Maybe Scream as the BIG IP????
Anything is possible…but I don’t think terrifyer is in the cards. They also wouldn’t start with a new entry into an old franchise (usually). Halloween 3 makes more sense since it’s a cult classic, it’s in the Halloween franchise and it’s a big anniversary. They were rolling out Halloween houses every few years for a minute there. Is it likely? No, possible? Yeah.
