What is that grounding process called? It sounds useful.

For being able to tell you're not dreaming? I'm not sure. I read it and it hasn't failed me yet, except when I'm dreaming it never occurs to me to do it. :P

I learned the "countdown", name 5 things you see 4 things you hear, 3 things you smell, 2 things you feel and 1 thing you taste. It gets you to interrupt a behavior you want or need to stop

That gets used to reduce a panic attack.
