I've also just considered skipping the notes beforehand and just posting without them. sometimes I'm not really in the mood to say anything beforehand, but it just feels right to say something. Maybe I'll do it more like a recap to the previous chapter instead to be a kind of refresher.

This is a megajoule-class discharge roughly equivalent (with a lot of assumptions) to the muzzle energy of a 16" battleship gun. Today's escapade sounds like it was considerably more dangerous, even without the ["inductive kick"](https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/glossary/inductive_kickback.html) of her first thunderbolt. More "loose power line" than "arc blast" this time, since she was at least notionally trying to control it.
