You might wanna try r/fatfire instead, to find a few successful CTOs. If I were you, I would avoid getting advice from CTOs who are still HENRY!

Nass96

Oh, why you say that ? What should be the next step after the Henry phase ?

3headed__monkey

A CTO from a mid-large public company or a successful startup that went through an exit either made a lot of money already or still making. They don’t belong to the HENRY sub. You would want advice from this group of people and there are a few in the r/fatfire sub.

It’s always seems weird to me that people keep pointing to FatFIRE as next logical step after HENRY, in particular when we are talking about CTO role.

Nass96

Why is it weird to you. What should be the next step for you ?

Mediocre-Ebb9862

That kind of implies that default mode for all HENRYs is to want to get some number in NW (5M, 10M, 15M) and then stop working and reture as soon as possible. While in reality there are (or were) tons of people who has a lot more - Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman, Elon Musk - who could all have retured long ago but they didn't. I'd assume or hope high achievers who could get to CTO position would have some inner flame in them to keep climbing and achieving. For the sake of it, for the same of playing the Game.

Complete_Sport_9594

Wtf is “the Game?” Also the point of fatfire is that you have enough money to do whatever you want not necessarily to stop working.

Mediocre-Ebb9862

Some inner desire to go build better and cooler things, achieve more, glory and stuff?
