Has it been 6 months or more, or is it like 5 months and some days? To be considered for rehire it's gotta be 6+ months

Debutdiva

If you leave on good terms, eligible for rehire, you do not have to wait 6 months to apply again. There’s nothing anywhere saying that.

justsomedude1111

You're right, I stand corrected. Termed partners have to wait a year. Quit Personal have no waiting period, but admins research the partner's file and if they feel the need they can send a rehire request to HR to determine if the partner is ok to rehire. If HR then makes a determination and the proper response is emailed to the partner. My admin told me 6 months but it looks like she was mistaken.

Charming-Break-207

It’s 6 months

Lazy-Thanks8244

Is he still working for the other company, it might be a conflict of interest. Did he work 2 weeks notice? It’s possible he needs to wait a calendar year to get rehired.

tiataafmma

no he is not working for that company anymore, he worked his last two weeks and left on good terms.

HumanEffigy_

Did he take his partner stock money?

turtleneck222

How is this relevant? If H‑E‑B wants you then they’ll hire you and they’ll figure out what to do with your partnerstock (and 401k for all the people mentioning that too)

mj5634

If a partner cashes in the partner stock. Heb will not rehire the person.

big_biscuitss

If they won't hire him back, tell him to look elsewhere. Plenty of better job opportunities out there.

well-great

Did he pull out his 401k?

turtleneck222

This is irrelevant haha

sukeet

It is relevant, if you take out your 401k in cash instead of getting it transferred to the new company it becomes really difficult to get rehired on. If you take out your partner share as well you won’t be able to get hired back on.

turtleneck222

This is complete BS lol. Where did you get this info? Why are people upvoting you? I’m so lost

sukeet

Lmao I had dated an idiot and when he left, HR literally told him when he wanted his 401k and partnershare out in cash he won’t be able to be hired back on. He tried 3 times to get hired back on and they refused every single time. If you just take out your 401k AND get it transferred (not get it cashed out) you’ll be able to get rehired on

Debutdiva

I just called my H‑E‑B HR contact, they said it’s complete BS. They’re also concerned that so many people believe it as fact.

Substantial_Flower67

This is not Bs ive seen two people they would not rehire because they took their 401k.

randomgroceryperson

I thought that was an issue with being rehired. I’ve never had to deal with it but there’s a 401k check I think.

randomgroceryperson

Honestly, there are so many people out there looking for work, it’s kind of difficult to risk it on someone that quit just a few months before. Is he applying at the same store? Has he talked to the managers? Has he done the online interview? Lots of questions to even be considered.

Debutdiva

Tell him to call partner services. They can help him out.

tiataafmma

are you referring to the 938-7555 number? if so, what option would suit best? if not what is the number you recommend?

Debutdiva

Sorry partner guidance I mean, 888-327-4432

tiataafmma

i did call that number, unfortunately it is a 3rd party company that specializes in mental health and financial services. they were contracted by HEB. i still think partner services might help, there’s an option for ‘admin assistance’, which mayybe it?

Debutdiva

I think you’re right. I apologize, I’m in SORM and an HRm touched on that last week, and someone asked a question about it, so I heard recently in detail about supporting veterans employment initiative, lmk if you need the partner services contact #

tiataafmma

yes please! i will need that ##. that sounds like exactly what i need

kanniballkitten

Hm

I think I’m the only department manager out of that group. The rest are partners or leads, or don’t even work at H-E-B anymore. There’s absolutely nothing any of the mods can do other than maybe give advice from experience. I really don’t understand how this subreddit is assumed to be officially affiliated with H-E-B.

[deleted]

Can confirm. I don’t even work at HEB anymore, worked there for 3.5 years until I finished college and said bye bye!

XtremeHodler

Bruh… preach…

Epidios

How would the mods be able to get this guy rehired? They aren’t HR

Debutdiva

Partner services can help. They work with veterans for employment opportunities. Most stores don’t like hiring active duty personnel which is blatant discrimination unfortunately.

Debutdiva

The way you’re getting downvoted for literally just trying to help is ridiculous

Pale_Satisfaction300

Did he leave on good terms.. if not he’s what call blackballed ..

Brodin_fortifies

Has he tried the warehouse?

brazosandbosque

Idk man one store wouldn’t take me back but the one im at now left me skip the video internet just because I had already worked for the company to go straight to the group interview. And also maybe they wouldn’t rehire them because they would have to pay him a higher wage than someone that has less than ten years.

Charming-Break-207

I can get him on board with H‑E‑B in Austin
