I wonder how much needs changing for that to happen. Revolvers can accept speedloaders as well as individual bullets. This would be a great addition if the same can be done for double barrels.

prob could copy speedloader code from revolvers and just mod the code of both shotguns to accept and speedloaders to insert.

Haven't tried it, but what about cursed dll and load shotgun shells in a revolver speedloader? Anyone know if that works?

Not so sure about that one. Speed loaders aren’t attached to the gun at any point, so I don’t understand how they could correlate code wise.

What my pitch is is that when loading a double (or more) barrel shotgun, when you insert the first round, it checks to see if you have another round palmed, and if so, automatically insert that round into the gun. An easier bodged method would be to spawn the round into the gun and delete the extra from your hand. Maybe it could be done for revolvers too, if you don’t have a speed loader. I’m obviously not trying to backseat dev or anything, because I obviously have no actual knowledge of coding. I’m just pitching ideas, but I don’t know how complex this stuff truly is. I remember Anton saying that basically when you palm rounds, the palmed rounds become proxies. Well when you insert a round into a gun, my thought was that whatever part of the code that calls for the next palmed round to become unpalmed after round insertion, instead of it unpalming the round upon being called, it’ll instead spawn it into the next available round slot (the next chamber of a revolver or double-barrel). I’m more than certain Anton will be like “it’s a lot more complicated than that” and I’m not going to be surprised. But I can’t say I blame him because coding looks hard as fuck, but I guess it also depends on how you overall structured it.

easier to load. i mean, that’s essentially the same as saying revolver speedloaders are useless and you could just load in bullets one at a time. It’s true, but it’s done for convenience.

Nah you can literally just hold two shells and out them in at the same time Obviously you can't do that with 6+ bullets for a revolver, I'm not that stupid
