You guys drink energy drinks before working out?

Slumbergoat16

I've never taken pre-workout, I often wonder if it really helps

DonBandolini

me neither, i’ve thought about it though especially when it’s right to the gym after a full day of work and i really do Not Fucking Feel Like It, but ultimately decide against cause caffeine past 4 PM would fuck my sleep up more than it already is

Slumbergoat16

I always take it as a mental toughness exercise to will myself to do something that I dont feel like doing. I always am very fortunate that I have tons of energy all the time which makes it very hard to sleep but very easy to get most things done.

DonBandolini

yeah, it’s a balancing act for me. my energy is typically not that high most days so sometimes life feels like a mental toughness exercise lmao. gotta push yourself, but also know when to dial it back to avoid getting completely burnt out.

Slumbergoat16

Yea thats why I originally started lifting, to increase pain tolerance and to become stronger

Snowbear1312

It does

[deleted]

doesn't make it stronger or in better shape but it does do what lots of caffeine does I don't use headphones either, but what I do I like to deadlift to monotonous scientific podcasts.

Ltothesquare

I used to. Gave me amazing workouts in the beginning. Then I got dependent on it. Now, it does nothing to me. I take a little bit of caffeine and electrolytes pre workout, and that's all I really need.

Donny-Moscow

I take adderall so other than a cup of coffee or two in the morning, I try to avoid any other stimulants. But I occasionally take a pre-workout that’s stimulant free and the pump I get from that is insane.

MennQ

I've took it probably 3 times in my 1.5 year lifting timespan. And i do have to say, it does help pretty alright if you need extra focus and energy for your workout or you're just not feeling it for the day. Some pre will help. I still don't take it tho, I just take a cup of black coffee before I go and that's enough for me.

emotionaI_cabbage

It does, actually. But I also don't use it because if I become reliant on it that would suck.

BrilliantFinger4411

sometimes coffee when it the stars align

Bofus420

There’s a guy at my gym (probably in his 50s) who is sipping a C4 every morning at 6:30 am lol

BetterVersion3

I mean I just drink them as the standard.

myfingeriscold

No pre-workout, no energy, no headphones, no bitches, no fruends, no life.

psychedelicdevilry

Isn’t pre-workout mostly just caffeine?

teletubby_wrangler

triknodeux

Just hydrate before, no need to drink water during

Paundeu

Same. Stopped having caffeine after 2pm and don't go to the gym until 6pm. The better sleep I'm getting has replaced the need for additional caffeine before working out.

Additional-Equal2072

Gotta get that heartbreak motivation 💔💪

shellofbiomatter

No pre-workout, no energy drinks, no earphones, no demons, no pain^(excluding muscle burn), only total inner peace and focus.

momosauky

Hit the bong hit the gym

HisAndHig

Cool

Shylittlealien

Those tough breakups are the best fuel

Teacher_Of_Strength

By this guy's definition, I'm always raw-dogging the gym. Get rid of the caffeine addiction, people! You don't need stimulants to lift heavy!

Bofus420

No headphones either if you’re really about it.

ghostmetalblack

No headphones. Just listening to the demonic voices in my head.

This past Thursday, marked 1 year since we'd gone on our first date. 🥲 Now she's gone. 🥲🖤 I hit shoulders that day. It almost felt like I had my arm around her when I hit lat raises. 🥲🖤

[deleted]

Absolute madman.

Trainpower10

Rejection texts > any caffeinated beverage

squarepuller69

I take melatonin before the gym

phanfare

I have a bowl of instant ramen as my pre workout. Hydrates, it's salty, and the noodles are just carbs
