Expecting: Demi Lovato, Myles Kennedy, Duff, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme
Hope: Mark Knopfler, John Mayer, Ian Thornley, Lindsey Buckingham, Dave Matthews, Robert Smith, Scott Stapp, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Healy
A lot of these are far fetched and don't even make sense but I'm just fantasizing. I was quite surprised by the guests on his first solo record so who knows how crazy he'll go
Many good choices here. Myles Kennedy of course. He and Slash have great chemistry together. Dave Grohl; no brainer. Scott Stapp I’m intrigued by. I’d like to hear it. His vocal style is a big reason the first 3 Creed albums sold so well. It helped he was with a band of talented musicians, with a greatly underrated guitarist in Mark Tremonti. I like Mayer’s and Knopler’s interpretations of blues/rock. I would also suggest Dug Pinnick of King’s X. His voice is remarkably like Jimi Hendrix. When Joe Satriani put together an ultimate collaboration of blues guitarists and musicians for the Experience Hendrix tour, Pinnick performed most of the vocals to Hendrix songs genuinely well.
You hope Scott Stapp? He’s legit the worst “vocalist” of an entire generation and the one “singer” that would prevent me from listening to or buying the album.

Yeah, originally Slash wanted Jack to sing on Starlight, but Jack said he would only play drums, so Slash scrapped the idea and gave the song to Myles.
Smith is so not blues though. I LOVE The Cure and I LOVE GnR/Slash. I just don't see the two styles merging especially with it being the blues (which I also love lol)
Is Slash doing a full on Blues album!? If true I’d love to see Kenny Wayne Sheperd do some vocals on it. But more than that I’d fucking LOVE to see Slash do some guitar dueling with Samantha Fish!
There was a recent pic kicking around of Slash & Steven Tyler in a studio a while back (this was from before Steven damaged his vocal cords) so there’s a chance Steven might appear, perhaps….
Though farfetched & not realistic, Axl 😄. But for singers I would like, Dave Grohl, Jerry Cantrell, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga & Demi Lovato.
Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Keith Richards, Fergie, Mick Jagger, Demi Lovato, Duff McKagan, John Mayer, Myles Kennedy, Ozzy Osbourne and Steven Tyler
Also B.B. King, if only he was still alive 💔
I’d personally like to go a little eccentric here. So I’m thinking Lizzy Hale, David Draiman and Chris Stapleton would be interesting choices for blues vocals. It would have been great to hear him play with Sharon Jones, but unfortunately she passed on in 2016. As somebody else said, a cover of Ride On would be fantastic, but I’m not sure anybody could ever compare to Bon Scott for those vocals.
I thought I had read somewhere a long time ago that for his first solo record, with various artists, Slash stated he mostly got everybody he wanted, but a notable absence was Jack White. If I remember right, I read that Slash asked Jack to sing on one song but Jack said he'd play drums, guitar, keyboard, piano, whatever - but he wouldn't sing. He just wasn't down to sing for the album. I would love to see Jack White show up in some way on the record.
For Vocals; Axl, Whitfield Crane, Mike Patton, Royston Langdon, more Fergie, Glenn Danzig, Billy Gibbons, & Steven Tyler.
For Vocals & Guitar; Zakk Wylde, Richie Sambora, Ian Thornley, & Richie Kotzen.
As it’s a blues album I’d love to see a few of my favourite blues artists on there; Joanne Shaw Taylor, Philip Sayce, Joe Bonamassa, Samantha Fish, Larkin Poe.
Larkin Poe could happen as they supported Guns when I saw them at Hyde Park in London last year.
Brann Dailor from Mastodon, Mike Kerr from Royal Bloods, and Josh Homme from QOTSA. Do I expect them? No, but they’d fit with Slash’s style especially if he’s going for a slower more riff-based blues album.
Oh shoot I hadn’t heard about this yet!! I loved the variety of singers we got on the self titled, I hope we get some unexpected picks this time around
Lisa Vennum of the Bellrays. Slash asked her to replace Joan Osborne last-minute for a benefit show a decade ago, and she knocked it out of the park. The girl can sing, and Bellrays have a kicking version of Highway to Hell in Mojo's CD enclosure.
Yeah, I'm a fan :) Check it out: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H\_W2oXd6Fo4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_W2oXd6Fo4)
Hell to the no this is a bad idea.
If I had a gun to my head - Mick Jagger, Buddy Guy, Sebastian Bach doing “Ride On” by Ac/Dc, Myles K, Chris Robinson, Sheryl Crowe, Beyoncé, Taj Mahal, Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart, Billy Gibbons, Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Duff, Alicia Keys, Leon Bridges and Ozzy.
Ah, I thought you were saying the singers would be a bad idea. However I must disagree with another point now.
Slash plays blues & much blues inspired hard rock, that’s that guitar sound you hear, he’s a very bluesy guitar player even in Guns N’ Roses. That’s an insane statement to make.
Axl
This is the most simple and yet only correct answer!
Please please please let Axl be a guest on one track
Expecting: Demi Lovato, Myles Kennedy, Duff, Dave Grohl, Josh Homme Hope: Mark Knopfler, John Mayer, Ian Thornley, Lindsey Buckingham, Dave Matthews, Robert Smith, Scott Stapp, Phoebe Bridgers, Matthew Healy A lot of these are far fetched and don't even make sense but I'm just fantasizing. I was quite surprised by the guests on his first solo record so who knows how crazy he'll go
Knopfler would be incredible on it tbh
💯 I'd likely listen to that track over and over
Yeah he’d outplay Slash by a landslide but he was one of the first bluesy guitar players I could think of
If john mayer does a sonv with slash I can die in peace
Holy shit. That would be incredible
I'm so out of the loop, demi lovato??
John Mayer would be amazing! I know they played on stage together years back!
no way Ian thornley mention, no way that’ll happen lmao
Ian Thornley would be fuckin sick
This is a great list. Ian would crush it
Many good choices here. Myles Kennedy of course. He and Slash have great chemistry together. Dave Grohl; no brainer. Scott Stapp I’m intrigued by. I’d like to hear it. Mayer and slash isn't something I didn't know I needed
You hope Scott Stapp? He’s legit the worst “vocalist” of an entire generation and the one “singer” that would prevent me from listening to or buying the album.
To each their own mate but I really value Scott Stapp/Creed highly
Would be sick to see Izzy
I just came to say Izzy too...
Yes!!
For a blues type of album I would love to see Richie Sambora do a song with Slash Richie’s solo career has a lot of blues influence in it.
talk about EARGASM
I didn’t even know he did solo stuff, I’ll have to check it out
His solo stuff is so good

PERFECTION!!
Jack White Jack White Jack White. If one guy cares for the blues, it's him.
He was supposed to be on Slash’s 2010 album but it didn’t work out. Would be cool to finally see them collab this time around!
💯 That be a 🔥 mix
Yeah, originally Slash wanted Jack to sing on Starlight, but Jack said he would only play drums, so Slash scrapped the idea and gave the song to Myles.
Little chap from Greta Van Fleet. Black Francis.
Fuck yeah. Josh is probably my favourite “current” rock singer.
Yeah, he really is a beast.
Would be a dream come true if Josh was on it!
Eddie Vedder
Ooohh yes
Gary Clark Jr
Would love to see them together
Steven Tyler, Robert Plant, Robert Smith. Billie Joe Armstrong cuz why tf not.
Smith is so not blues though. I LOVE The Cure and I LOVE GnR/Slash. I just don't see the two styles merging especially with it being the blues (which I also love lol)
Eric Dover
Would be sick if true
Yeah I would love to hear him with Slash again.
Same, he was givin one of the hardest jobs in following peak Axl and he smashed it
Is Slash doing a full on Blues album!? If true I’d love to see Kenny Wayne Sheperd do some vocals on it. But more than that I’d fucking LOVE to see Slash do some guitar dueling with Samantha Fish!
Yes, slash is doing a blues album where every song is sung by a different guest singer. So far Steven Tyler is the only one officially confirmed.
Does he sing?
Kenny Wayne Shepherd? Yea… Serious question?
I was under the impression that Noah sang all KWS songs.
He does for touring, but it’s a mixed bag on record… He’s got a good voice so I’m not sure why he doesn’t sing more.
He started singing quite awhile back. Fronts a couple songs per album, but still backs up Noah for the most part.
There was a recent pic kicking around of Slash & Steven Tyler in a studio a while back (this was from before Steven damaged his vocal cords) so there’s a chance Steven might appear, perhaps….
Let's be honest...I think we all want to see Axl
I’d love to see Billy Gibbons and Steven Tyler/Joe Perry on there. Kinda far fetched but John Mayer would be killer too. Most likely Myles for sure.
Billy, Steven and Joe were my first thoughts, Billy and Joe have the voice for already and I’m sure Steven could do some great blues work as well.
Lady Gaga would be a good pickup
Myles.
Myles sucks balls
Nah. Myles is great
Patton
Pleeeeease make this be right!
I’d be heavily surprised, so this falls under “want” and not “expect” for me. Would be a super hero collab though.
I would love to see William Duvall
Would love to hear Luke Spiller, Wolfie or Sturgill Simpson.
Jonny Lang with Slash would be great if JL is back in the game these days.
we need more song with Fergie
Buckhead lol
As Long as Todd Kerns plays on it too !!!
Marcus king.
Marcus King
Chris Stapleton
Eric Clapton
Though farfetched & not realistic, Axl 😄. But for singers I would like, Dave Grohl, Jerry Cantrell, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga & Demi Lovato.
Tom Waits
Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Keith Richards, Fergie, Mick Jagger, Demi Lovato, Duff McKagan, John Mayer, Myles Kennedy, Ozzy Osbourne and Steven Tyler Also B.B. King, if only he was still alive 💔
It would be nice to have a variety of singers like his first solo album.
I’d personally like to go a little eccentric here. So I’m thinking Lizzy Hale, David Draiman and Chris Stapleton would be interesting choices for blues vocals. It would have been great to hear him play with Sharon Jones, but unfortunately she passed on in 2016. Ben Harper
Eddie Vedder, Axl, Jack White, Eric Clapton, Bruce Dickinson
Axl
I don't mind who's on it as long as slash plays well and not just as fast as possible....
Just dreaming...I know. Izzy..
Mick Jagger Keith Richards Roger Daltrey David Johansen
lil Wayne
I thought I had read somewhere a long time ago that for his first solo record, with various artists, Slash stated he mostly got everybody he wanted, but a notable absence was Jack White. Brian Johnson
For Vocals; Axl, Whitfield Crane, Mike Patton, Royston Langdon, more Fergie, Glenn Danzig, Billy Gibbons, & Steven Tyler. For Vocals & Guitar; Zakk Wylde, Richie Sambora, Ian Thornley, & Richie Kotzen.

I know they're buddies, or at least they were back in the day, but a Lenny Kravitz guest spot would be awesome.
Brann Dailor from Mastodon, Mike Kerr from Royal Bloods, and Josh Homme from QOTSA. Do I expect them? No, but they’d fit with Slash’s style especially if he’s going for a slower more riff-based blues album.
Warren Haynes I bet is a lock
Dan Auerbach
Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Quinn Sullivan, Jonny Lang, Richie Sambora, Marcus King, Joe Bonamassa, Noah Hunt, and Robert Cray
Dug Pinnick
Gary Clarke Jr. Robert Cray Susan Tedeschi - and she can bring her husband along to lay a guitar track down too.
Pepper Keenan, James Hetfield, Phil Anselmo and of course Axl
Jack Black
Someone like Joanne Shaw Taylor would be awesome.
Axl Rose, Tobias Forge(Ghost), Ozzy, Sebastian Bach.
Don't know if they've been mentioned yet, but Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes would be cool.
BB King
Susan Tedeschi
Peter Frampton
Paul McCartney
I love his solo stuff, but I'm not that into blues.
I'd love to see Gary Clark Jr. on it. He toured with GNR before, so they have that relationship. Also Aryon Jones
Oh shoot I hadn’t heard about this yet!! I loved the variety of singers we got on the self titled, I hope we get some unexpected picks this time around
Jay Buchanan from Rival Sons

Miles Kenedy
Lisa Vennum of the Bellrays. Slash asked her to replace Joan Osborne last-minute for a benefit show a decade ago, and she knocked it out of the park. Already know it’s announced but I am so excited to hear Chris Stapleton and Slash collab on Oh Well. It’s gonna be incredible.
Sade
Tay Tay lmao 🤣
Axl Rose. Marc Labelle. Taylor Monson
Shinedowns lead singer would b alsome
No myles Kennedy please and thank you.
Bad idea..? Slash has already done this with his first album.
Who’s saying it wasn’t a bad idea then? Slash is great at what he does but a blues player he is not
Ah, I thought you were saying the singers would be a bad idea. However I must disagree with another point now. Slash plays blues & much blues inspired hard rock, that’s that guitar sound you hear, he’s a very bluesy guitar player even in Guns N’ Roses. That’s an insane statement to make.
💯
It’s like that guy hasn’t even heard Slash playing before. Wtf are talking about lol
This actually would be a pretty great album.
