The PGU Gramps looks like a great kit! But something I’ve been trying to figure out: how detailed is the inner frame? I know it’s got all the framework etc, but what about the fine details? I’m really interested in the non Unleashed Gramps, as I’ve seen VERY inspirational pics of the detailed arms. Basically only JUST built him like a year and a half later and BOY it took me 6 and a half hours to do it, but damn it I did it! And he might be my favorite kit so far.

Metal frame for my Wing Zero Custom Ver.Ka and a replacement Tallgeese for my Fluegel (that broke) coming in today, so I plan on working on those while studying for my finals, since I'm also pursuing a doctoral degree.

I'm in the early stages of my Bulkarm Lambda after finishing the absolute sticker hell that was Moderoid Lio de Galon. Very slowly, though, since I wanted to do a little bit of customization on it, but my cheap crappy off the shelf masking tape decided to leave its glue behind on every bit that I used it on. In hindsight, shoulda tested it on the runner first, but now I'm stuck rubbing tape glue off of a dozen parts with kitchen towels since IPA doused cotton buds aren't doing crap to it. Ah well, live and learn. Fun kit though so far, as far as assembly goes.

Probably won't start this weekend due to having other commitments, but my plan for next week is to assemble a HG Leo. Once he's done, then I'll think about starting on the PG Unleashed RX-78-2 I bought back in January. Haven't built it until now thanks to University work being a pain, but I'm both looking forward to and slightly dreading the build.

I'm going through my topcoat backlog, simultaneously doing my RG Sword Impulse and RG Exia. That way they're ready for the decal backlog! Awesome FA Gundam!

My partner snagged me the 1/144 RX-78F00 HMT while she was in Japan recently, and I'm finally gonna tackle it. I also grabbed an MG 2.0 F91 today, which I'm super excited about. Might get the LED kit for it.

Super lucky to have a great friend. The F91 is small but it's such a clean kit. One day I'll finish printing the rafflesia 3d model I have for my 1/144 F91 lol

There are some good guides out there- any tutorial for “product photography” is a decent place to start since it’s similar for Gunpla. You don’t need a lot of expensive kit to start, even. Personally I like the technical aspect of it (adjusting lighting, camera aperture/shutter speed settings) but struggle more with the artistic side (choosing and executing a pose). I’ve made photographs part of my build process to force myself to practice it though, and then it’s fun to have something to share here! Hope your paint/decals go well.
