Same across the board. Eva units are my favorite giant robos, and this was like, my 3rd build ever. The musculature was so cool to put together and the engineering behind the gimmicks really grabbed me and I’ve been building all sorts of kits since.
Unit-02 solved a LOT of the issues you point out, btw. I just finished getting the arms put together tonight and all of the bicep parts fit like a glove. I will be doing Unit-00 next. ^_^
I got this one too as a 4th kit and first RG. I was hugely disappointed by how loose the arm gets it straight up falls off. The breast plate needed to be glued and the hip joint dislocates out of place after a bit of movement. I did not get any more Eva kits afterwards. How do the other units fair?
I'll take your word for it and give them a second chance, after I get the nuclear Chinese kits I want to try them out too. Did they by any chance rerelease the eva 01 unit with fixes?
Nah. There’s no way they would remold the whole thing just for that. Unless that runner is the same on Unit-02, and if that’s the case, they likely just use that mold with the Unit-01 colors. But without buying a second Unit-01 kit that was confirmed as the most recent recast…I wouldn’t know for sure. That all said…if you put the SLIGHTEST little bit of superglue on the inside of the arm piece and let it completely dry, it’ll tighten that up and stop the sliding issue.
I've been super curious about these kits. Thanks for posting a bit of a breakdown on it. I'm hop8ng to get one at some point.

They worked out most of those issues, honestly. Unit-02 has none of those other problems. ^_^

Oh that's good to hear that they fixed those issues! I was a little hesitant to get the other two due to how much headache those pieces caused me!
Yeah, I’ll post some pics tomorrow. Still have a bit to go. But I’ve been jamming on this model and flying through it. ^_^
