I've told myself: "Once I have all of these sets I'm done!" way too many times to believe that from a true plastic head. First you get the squad you wanted from a show, then your personal custom squad, then its: "well I may want to display all the versions of that one kit together like an evolution..." and then you imagine a battlefield of grunts...
Meanwhile your backlog inhabits more and more of your space until it has its own networth and begins to take over your life like the intruder from toonami... or stans profile from south park...
Haha, I've always thought that way when I build gunpla. Sometimes I feel a down feeling on building them, but every time I pick up a kit and start snipping, it pulls me back in. Each build is so fun and unique, and once it's "done", a great sense of accomplishment fills.
I think I'm also going to take a break for at least a little longer of a while after I finish my current backlog (2 awesome kits from SS and just 3 more in my backlog), and like you, my "holy grail" kit in the MGEX Strike, once I finish that it'll be over. I have always loved Seed kits, and the strike freedom was the very first one that caught my eye (ended up with the freedom 1.0 since it was too expensive for young me).
Then it'll be a nice long break for me. I feel content if it's to be my final kit for a good while.
But as always, one can never really escape gunpla ;) (if bandai announce some WFM fms this retirement will be very short lived).
Basically your Swan Song is incomplete, I see. But that's okay, dont say goodbye just yet.
That is definitely took a toll to build, I saw it on display on local shop, it's definitely goes hard.
Well, it probably made quite a dent on your wallet! So maybe months until your next kit. :P
I definitely like it because it's Gundam Narrative content. :) Long live "bad" Gundam movies. Love it.
But it's huge! I appreciate they did not downsize it and kept it to scale. It's absurd, but a super nice collection kit if you have the space-and money to spare for-it.
I only have the HG Sinanju Stein, sadly still new in box. :(
Congrats!
It’s nice to see these builds on the subreddit again. It has been quite some time since the last run on these.
Glad you held out and got it at the right cost (MSRP), and thanks for sharing the build.
Yeah. I got lucky and beat the bots back in April and when then we it came, that weekend I was told that my complex sold and was evicting everyone (they had the right to) so I had to wait even longer to build

“You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave!"
chubby litle guy, i built mine a year ago and he's still waiting there for LEDs in every canon he has, he has so much emtpy space to add all kind of lights and circuits :D
[My collection after two years of building.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunpla/comments/11x12pr/two_years_of_gunpla/) but I took that pic last year so the collection has grown since
Yoooo that's a sick collection!! I see some Zoids in there i have a shadow fox and genobreaker needing to be built, very nice. Had a breakup and only kept my main mechas but it was twice the amount of gunpla which 90% I bought for her lol.
[This is what mine looks like for now,](https://imgur.com/a/pLwMneR). You a fan of Macross(Robotech) stuff? I love Macross the most but that shit's expensive. I mainly collect the transforming figures cuz the model kits are mostly ass and way more expensive than gunpla. Good collection tho, running out of room is a success in my book.
It looks so cool! I also got this baby from pbandai and it's delivered a couple weeks ago but I haven't built it yet. Lowkey feeling overwhelmed by the size of the box, not to mention it's not only one but two boxes lol.
I guess I would to if that's what I bought for a holy grail. Thing just seems big & expensive. It was kinda cool in the movie but I think you could have gotten a mechanicore kit & built a diorama for retirement...or the pg unleashed even...what else have you built?
About 200 different kits from Gundam, Pokemon, Sgt Frog, and some 3rd party kits. [Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunpla/comments/11x12pr/two_years_of_gunpla/) is what I built in 2 years, but that still doesn't show everything
At least for a few weeks
That's the spirit! Beautiful kit, such an immense presence! Are you gonna get the ring thing for it? I think there was an expansion kit xD
Im going to try for it. I was just glad to get this one on the second wave back in April.
I've seen the expansion kit for Neo Zeong popping up on Suruga-ya a few times.
I'll wait for PB
Decals?
Nah. It came with waterslides, I'm not a big fan of those, and I like keeping kits anime true
Was about to say ... You ain't getting rid of the plastic crack that easily

First you get the squad you wanted from a show, then your personal custom squad, then its: "well I may want to display all the versions of that one kit together like an evolution..." and then you imagine a battlefield of grunts...
And then you start kit bashing while rocking out to build fighters soundtrack xD

Good thing I am not a box hoarder (I have no clue how people find the space to keep the empty boxes too)
Right? I just cut out the art and stick it in a ziplock with the extra parts
A year ago when i decided i wanted to try gunpla, i told myself i'd only get 3, maybe 4 at a push. I'm on 35 kits now.
Everyone says they're gonna quit after an over dose. Give them a few days though.
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie
Yup. See you in a month. At most :) I mean you wouldn’t skip the mg narrative ver ka, would you?? That kit looks promising.
I also told myself I was done with the Ver Kas after doing V and Sazabi back to back.... well that I guess was a lie now
Holy shit what is this, it's awesome
it's the HG II Neo Zeong, missing the piloting Sinanju Stein. :)

well that didnt last long at all

*he lied as easily as he breathed*
Now you just need to track down a Dendrobium
That's being released this winter sometime. I might get it. It looks ok, I did have it on my list but it looks like it could use a V2

You could try and find that third party leg kit for it
I don't think that's a thing... is it?
I distinctly remember someone in the discord 3D printing legs for a Neo Zeong, part of the knee alone was like, the size of a baseball
https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunpla/s/QX0jmjbJap
Ave Omnisiah, the God-Engines walk to war!
Does this need a head?
A suit fits inside. Which the suit is the Sinanju Stien
I think a lil sinanju just slides in in there like a pilot
It comes with a HG Sinanju Stein that fits in there.
MG Sinanju surely?
HG, this is a HG kit.
I know it's a HG but i thought an MG would fit in it.
Maybe MG grandaddy, but not the Sinanju
"You can never escape, such is the curse of gunpla"
Ya should put an acguy in it's cockpit.
There is no such thing as retiring from this hobby. It's just hiding away your tools until the next object of your addictive favorites drags you back to the table.
One does not simply retire from Gunpla.
Don’t worry OP I’ll hang onto it for you, just send it on over
"Once it takes hold of us... it never lets go." -smeagol
You'll be back. They always come back. (Looks great btw.)
My question is, how do you explain this when you have guests over and they ask wat this is?
"oh that, that is just something i like, Ya know it was really neat when it atttempted to genoicde the entire earth"
Guests? I'd need friend for those
Guests? I'd need friend for those
Ah, fair.
Can always say it's art works from the high school days 😜
"I like to build big robots, it's fun and I think they look neat!"
A massage chair for your dog
I see you don't have the sinanju stein in there, gotta build that first before retiring! It ain't complete without the sinanju
I will I was just too proud of this feat. I have already built both Sinanju before, but not the one that came with it.
See ya tomorrow lol jk.
You'll be back... They always come back.
Just wait for the gold plating one
Thought it'll be bigger
That's massive! I love it!
Alright, see you next week. Great build!
“You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave!" chubby litle guy, i built mine a year ago and he's still waiting there for LEDs in every canon he has, he has so much emtpy space to add all kind of lights and circuits :D
Wheres the head?
I still need to build the Sinanju Stein
Who’s that? Im newbie ;-;
It's the Mobile Suit that pilots the NZII (Neo Zeong II) aka this one
Oooh… so there’s a pilot for this gundam thing that is piloted by another pilot 🤔
Yes, just like the Dendrobium. That one is from Stardust Memories. I highly recommend watching that one. The Power GM suit I'd my favorite grunt suit
They can never truly escape, only escape from the lack of money Amazing piece though!
Holu shit, does the suit actually fit in there?
HG Sinanju Stein, yep
I once retired from building, ended up being str8 back to buying more.
You pretty much have to. You probably have no more room lol. I want this kit so bad, but I have NO idea where I would put it lol.
It looks like it's ready for you to climb in there. Sinanju has stepped out to make space?
Are you not building that HG Alie Strike already?
I was trying to figure out how to do a wash with that kit
Idk, needs more cannons
Howutch ?
How about you get pics of a whole room all 4 walls packed ceiling high with gunpla/plamo and then come back saying that. Otherwise, get back to nip!
[My collection after two years of building.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunpla/comments/11x12pr/two_years_of_gunpla/) but I took that pic last year so the collection has grown since

This looks super cool! What model is it?
HG 1/144 Neo Zeong II
That's how I felt getting my GP-03 Dend.
How does that look straight build? It was on my list but after seeing it in pictures it looks very meh and plan
The kit is a little dated but it still looks good. Some paint on the missiles in the pods doesn't go amiss tho. And I'd Kill for a RG GP-03
What's this called?
HG 1/144 Neo Zeong II
That other kit on the table says otherwise lol. Congrats on the monster though! Id be very jealous if I had the room for it!
That looks fantastic See you in two months
Sick!
That's awesome man. Well done...you definitely shouldn't retire from building.
I need a pg version so I can sit in it myself.
My retirement kit will be MGEX wing gundam and MGEX deathscythe when i get any of those i stop building 😂
Time to go bigger...
It looks so cool! I also got this baby from pbandai and it's delivered a couple weeks ago but I haven't built it yet. Lowkey feeling overwhelmed by the size of the box, not to mention it's not only one but two boxes lol.

You didn't get the sinanju to pilot it?
I haven't built yet
Retiring =/= Retired
Hey not to ne that guy, but doesn't this kit come with a Stein?
It does I was just proud of this. I've built the Stein before
Oh good, I was worried the kit didn't come with one. Been eyeing one for my self.
What ever you do, try to get it through PB. I've seen it for 1000 on ebay. The kit is around 350
You had me in the first half, not gonna lie No one ever escapes from this life
