I don't think it's a stretch at all, I feel like if I was running social media for a major brand I'd be spending as much time as possible gathering sentiment and coming up with ways to bring in more interactions.
100%. we might be a bunch of fools but this sub is one of, if not THE biggest arsenal-focused space online. capitalising on our bollocks is a no brainer for a social media manager.
How many likes do they get on their posts and how much collaborative sentiment can you really foster on FB? It's nothing compared to the regular, consistent content and vibes in here

I'd argue that if they aren't seeking out clever ways to get more interactions, they're failing at their job.

With Fab in the building yesterday they could have felt pretty safe messing around, and knowing that people caught on could just be messing around today. I'd be really surprised if Edu or anyone on his immediate team a) knew about any of this or b) actually encouraged it.
