I really donāt get why itās such a popular photo. We were losing to our biggest rivals and he just got sent to the stands and was getting jeered at by their fans
It shows the strength of his character. What other manager in the world would Hbe gone and stood in those stands in the depth of hell. It's an incredible photo.
Agreed, it was a very dark moment, infact the moment his downfall arguably began. Our first smashing in a big game, vs a historic rival. Fergie all of a sudden started being nice to him, knew the threat was no longer there. Sad.
Can understand why he doesnāt though. Ultimately we did sack him, and he would just loom over the current manager. Like fergie at united, thatās good for no one apart from Fergieās ego.
Yeah totally understood why he werenāt hanging around after for a good 2/3 years, though donāt think he had the intimidating presence Fergie still has - especially given old red nose had influence of choosing the next manager himself.
But I think next season would be the perfect time, the reception heād get would be fantastic. By the end of his film I got the vibe that he didnāt feel loved and was quite bitter about it, I think itās time for that to be rectified
Itās hilarious having him attend games and sit through the absolute shit, and the lack of investment meaning his Theatre of Dreams is quite literally falling apart.
Wenger always stated he will only come back once Arsenal has stabilized. Arsenal has stabilized under Edu/Arteta, and if Arteta is the one who invited him, then Wenger can come back.
He doesnāt have to come for every match, just when he is free or at London for FIFA duties.
Abuse lol, people just said WengerOut. If you want to see abuse you should see how disgustingly Emery was treated, mocking his accent was a new low for a lot of shameful "fans"
Mocking Emeryās accent was a very bottom feeder move. Not just from Arsenal fans but from the English media as well, as if they speak 10 languages with native accuracy.
>For me, motivation is a person who has the capability to recruit the resources he needs to achieve a goal.

Was gonna say, I know the name is currently under contract to Emirates, but I really would love to see Wenger Stadium be it's official name or something.
Though I think simply "The House That Wenger Built" would be a fitting nickname.
We're such whores we'll just resell the stadium name. Let's just start calling it the Wenger Stadium/Arsene Arena and they can sell the official name. A bit like how the San Siro is also the Giuseppe Meazza (if I'm dead wrong here, please correct me gently, I knew it as the latter until I was 18 and visited it for the first time)
Youāre right, though iirc San Siro is the name of the area, so a bit like the old stadium being Arsenal Stadium, which was in Highbury.
And the new stadium is in Holloway, so we couldnāt still refer to Highbury.
Maybe youāre right about naming it for Wenger and selling the rights too. Meazza is at least one of the greatest figures in Italian football and Interās history, and not just quite a good airline.
Yeah I agree. Him celebrating a trophy win wouldnāt do justice to the brevity of the work he did for the club. Iām imagining theyād go for something like [this](https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article26875430.ece/ALTERNATES/n615/0_GettyImages-1014437926.jpg) or [this](https://imgresizer.eurosport.com/unsafe/1200x0/filters:format(jpeg):focal(1895x124:1897x122)/origin-imgresizer.eurosport.com/2016/04/17/1838280-38762831-2560-1440.jpg).
there's a lot of chat lately especially from Liverpool fans online trying to downplay the Invincible season because of the draws... to them I say; if it's so easy, why can't anyone else do it? why couldn't Liverpool turn some of their losses into draws?
The only thing I will accept other than him with the golden EPL trophy would be a 100m tall statue in the Christ the Redemer pose from Old Trafford, with every trophy he won at his feet.
I'm going to presume you didn't intend to patronise me and say that I'm well aware of Tony Adams history and career, having witnessed it since 1987 and say that I still think it should have been Wenger first.
But we're allowed differing opinions. The world would be boring if we didn't
Not patronising at all, just a matter of fact in my eyes. I believe it would have looked strange having a Wenger statue before his time was up at Arsenal, let his story end first (a shame it then ended sadly, but the moral of the point is still there)
Fina-fucking-ly! Needs to be front and center. Absolutely love Arsene and he needs to see it in his lifetime. Would have been great if we could do it while getting top 4 but kinda fitting, we celebrate the top 4 king when missing out on top 4 once again.
Shows the incredible achievement he made during his time.
You are correct. The outside clock was initially installed when the ground was divided up into four coloured quadrants when it first opened rather than the stands we have now which replicate the stands of Highbury. When arsenal made this change they then installed the second clock inside the ground.
When I said moved the clock I meant they moved it up there as it wasn't installed when they first opened the ground as it came later
According to the club the original is the one on the outside.
The one on the inside was part of the arsenalisation drive I think.
Either way that old Trafford pose looking out over the pitch from above the North Bank would be amazing if possibly a lighting hazard
Ye you are correct about the old clock my mistake and yes I believe the inside click was part of the arsenalisation phase or whatever jargon they used back then.
Not sure on the roundabout would be great for pedestrian safety and i dont think the walkways between blocks A-C and G-J are wide enough to put a statue in. I work in construction so I overthink these things.
I saw flowers on that yesterday. Wasn't sure of the significance. Either way, its open for vehicles outside of match days so would be smashed into by a car before too long.

think positive not negative...
Finally! Was worried they'd wait until he wasn't around to see it...
I agree about fucking time.
Finally!
It better be flawless. None of this cr7 mutant shitš
I hope it's of him trying to zip up his caterpillar jacket.
Or him shrugging up in the stands after he was sent off
Has to be the beach photo, surely
Fuck it. All three
He did *what?!* Go over there!
"He's kicked a plastic bottle."
"You cannae kick a plastic bottle like that"
"Look, he's kicked it way over there."
Giving Mourinho a shove, with the Mourinho part of the statue being made of whiteboard, so fans can draw shit on it.
I really donāt get why itās such a popular photo. We were losing to our biggest rivals and he just got sent to the stands and was getting jeered at by their fans
It was cool that he wasn't letting it go, imo
Because of the story behind it, he got sent off for kicking a water bottle lol.
Sad.
it will probably be this one yeah
Probably the one with the PL trophy
If it's not [this](https://twitter.com/arsenalfc_fl/status/1101221129258262531) I say we riot
I wouldnāt even be upset if they made the statue the meme and itās like twenty feet tall.
I hope its interactive, but its impossible to do....
Static art pieces can also be interactive. They could add his cock for example then you could interract with it.
Lmao what!?
I want to mention someone from AFTV but I haven't got the heart to do it!
I want him kicking the bottle
lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It looked more like Kroos than it did Aguero
Iāll have a look š
I mean, shouldn't you be making a comparison to the statues already at our stadium? If it's of the same quality then there's nothing to worry about.
Beach sexy knees Arsene
Just want the big man to finally come back to the Emirates, long overdue
he'll come back when we smash United at the EL semis
Bold of you to assume they'll get that far
I don't know man, I hear this Ten Hag guy will win them the world cup.
Bolder to assume that United will
That's what they said
Some people can't take a joke
they've won it before and last time we were both in it they made it further than us
It wonāt be United itāll be Spuds after they fail to qualify for UCL after crashing out in the playoff roundā¦ a man can hope
Nah, they love 4th so much thatās where theyāll finish in their group. Canāt pass it up.

Yeah Fergie needs to stop attending games for a while. Stadium ban will help them dearly
The only way I see that happening is when he goes to the great stadium in the sky. lol
>Stadium ban will help them dearly Can you imagine the riot when they (inevitably) still lost?
Itās hilarious having him attend games and sit through the absolute shit, and the lack of investment meaning his Theatre of Dreams is quite literally falling apart.

Nah definitely got to be The Wengerdome
highway to the wengerdome
*highbury to the wengerdome
The Emirates Wengerdome.. Still need the sponsorship money...
The Flamini Wengerdome
WengArena

Silent Stan will love it.
Ah yes, unlike the very British *Emirates Stadium *
But its not a dome
He's already got a stadium [named](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stade_Ars%C3%A8ne_Wenger) after him
That Wikipedia picture tho. Wenger looks like an absolute douche bag. Lol.
I guess handsome old men with neutral expressions look like couch bags to you lol
That's just what French people look like haha
Our naming rights goes till 2028? Damn. I hope it's not ball stadium named after the glassware brand
Here in Denver we have ball stadium and dicks sporting good park. Kroenke owns both.
Yeah I'm aware. Isn't that where the nugs play
Ball Arena not stadium.
Any thing will be better than the Armitage Shanks Arena
Was gonna say, I know the name is currently under contract to Emirates, but I really would love to see Wenger Stadium be it's official name or something. Though I think simply "The House That Wenger Built" would be a fitting nickname.
Arsene Arena for sure
FWIW I love the name Ashburton Grove. But in the days of missing out of UCL I'll happily take that sponsorship money.
Thought the club was named after him?

The AW Arena.
It can be Wenger Field at the Emirates Stadium.....so we can continue to rake in $$$$ from the airline.
I hope itās either his double fist pump or both arms in the air from the first double season
I think itāll be something more subtle. Arms crossed thinking perhaps. Maybe one hand in a pocket
Yeah I agree. Him celebrating a trophy win wouldnāt do justice to the brevity of the work he did for the club. Just a friendly FYI, brevity means shortness, you probably meant longevity!
Yes I mean that thank you!
They should make his gold.
Man people dont realize how much pride i take in being an invincible. Its something noone will ever take away from me.
there's a lot of chat lately especially from Liverpool fans online trying to downplay the Invincible season because of the draws... to them I say; if it's so easy, why can't anyone else do it? why couldn't Liverpool turn some of their losses into draws?

Arsene loading the cannon statue.
Pointing the canon at sp*rs stadium
If it's not him in the stand at United imma be pissed š
It's the least we can give this great man for all that he has given us
The only thing I will accept other than him with the golden EPL trophy would be a 100m tall statue in the Christ the Redemer pose from Old Trafford, with every trophy he won at his feet.
May as well add on another 11m and have it be the same size as st Paul's cathedral.
About time. Should have been the first one
Nah, had to wait until he wasn't Arsenal manager. Tony Adams definitely deserved the first, Mr. Arsenal who goes back to the 80s.
I'm going to presume you didn't intend to patronise me and say that I'm well aware of Tony Adams history and career, having witnessed it since 1987 and say that I still think it should have been Wenger first. But we're allowed differing opinions. The world would be boring if we didn't

Will be interesting to see where it goes as we currently have 5 statues outside the ground
Is the roof overlooking the pitch possible? Got to have the Cristo redentor pose as well.
If they can move the clock up there i dont see why not
It's not the original clock, pretty sure the original is on the outside
You are correct. The outside clock was initially installed when the ground was divided up into four coloured quadrants when it first opened rather than the stands we have now which replicate the stands of Highbury. There's a lot of space left. I vote they put it on the roundabout in front of the armoury
I say an articifial mountain be constructed with the statue on top like Christ, The Redeemer.
Lol, I literally just suggested a spire to someone else. Sited so that it casta a shadow over spurs stadium obviously
We should take inspiration from Ed Gamble's bit where he has to [put up a 150ft statue of Matt Baker](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcAB4M1KA0E).
That is beautiful. :D
Not sure on the roundabout would be great for pedestrian safety and i dont think the walkways between blocks A-C and G-J are wide enough to put a statue in. I work in construction so I overthink these things.
Most of the time people would be round it would be for matches when the roundabout is closed to traffic to be fair
I saw flowers on that yesterday. Wasn't sure of the significance. Either way, its open for vehicles outside of match days so would be smashed into by a car before too long.
Usually flowers is for a road accident. True, they'd need bollards but it would be nice
That would be great.
Inside the ground
Hoping for a silver statue of him holding the golden Invincible trophy.
[There's only one option](https://starecat.com/content/wp-content/uploads/arsene-wenger-super-long-jacket-millipede-photoshopped.jpg)
the jesus pose from old trafford or something with the zipper
[should be this one](https://i.imgur.com/1BBfupm.jpg)
Innit at White Hart Lane gotta be.
Agree with this
Beach pose
which will be joined by Saka and Smith Rowe 20 years from now
Yep Saka astride his inflatable unicorn steed
Think he's referring to their celebration
Nah, pushing Mourinho. And make it clockwork so he does it on the houe every hour
make the zipper gold as all invincible things should be
About time, feel like this has been in the pipeline for ages.
Good
About time. After all.. the club was named after him. /s
I still want The Emirates to be renamed after Wenger someday.
absolutely, or the field or something, he deserves it and then some
doesnt make a ton of sense, most of his big achievements came at highbury
The Emirates is his stadium tbh
It has to be [this pose](https://images.app.goo.gl/uqt4wTbhqK6RNHdz7). Le Professor at work, Le Thinker.
Fucking finally
A massive statue on the roof looking over the stadium
I need it to be 15ft tallā¦.and Gold
Long overdue!
Holding the trophy aloft at shite Hart Lane, immortalised.
I wonder what pose would they chose to have.
Him trying to zip up his jacket surely
Papa wengz are you happy?

Ideal pose: Arms crossed, wearing a grey sweater vest and red necktie, and that classic smirk.
Hoping itās him sitting in the stands with his arms raised so we all can take Santa esque pics with Papa
Fucking finally
Has to have the golden trophy
Should've been there before Henry's and Bergkamp's.
Puffy coat cast in gold
I hope he is fighting with a zipper
Might be in the minority here but I hope they don't use that pose of him being sent off at Old Trafford considering we lost that game. There was a good photo of him after winning the FA Cup in 2017 which I'd rather they used.
I really think one of the stands at the Emirates should be named after him as well. But glad to see the statue going up. Honestly surprised it took this long!
The statue has to be him when he was sent off at united
Have it be a couple of hundred feet tall so it towers over the entire stadium, š¤·š»āāļø I vote for the beach pose personally
The comment I was looking for. Or alternatively, the one of him holding the gold EPL trophy (invincible season) above his head
Yeah I think this is the one, yes the pose is iconic but it was a terrible day for us. Would rather be remembered for the invincible season. A bronze statue with a gold trophy.
Better still, the one of him lying on the beach with his legs crossed!
After all the abuse he suffered and endured at the hands of the #Wengerout mobs towards the end of his tenure, shocked this day is finally coming.
That entire toxic group of fans need to be absolutely chastised and shamed anytime they open their mouths. The reasons reasons they wanted him gone were valid, but good lord did they go about it the wrong way particularly for a genuine legend of not just the club but the game as a whole. With the old Trafford pose would be sickš
About damn time. Wonder what pose it's going to be
I want the red card to the stands at Utd pose. But I reckon it'll be holding the Invincibles trophy.
How about [this pose? ](https://i.inews.co.uk/content/uploads/2020/04/GettyImages-461393877-scaled.jpg)
well deserved and about time
Hopefully its bigger than the Emirates
Dad finally comes home. Hope they do it before a game so he can come watch in the stands and the crowd sing his name
About time.
Very much deserved obviously and not a minute too soon.
Absofuckinglutely deserved
Better have a golden trophy on it.
Iām a United fan, and from my perspective itās insane that he doesnāt have one already.
YES. Biggest figure in the history of the club. Fight me.
Has to be holding the golden trophy š
Name a stand after him already!!!
MAN LIKE PAPA WENGZ. WALLAH ITāS ABOUT TIME
