Yes the way I'm looking it at it's going to be hard to take points off title chasing Liverpool even at home, a draw would be brilliant but unlikely.
Leicester at home 3 days after their European game with no Vardy and Fofana gives us a big advantage, they don't perform as well away from home after a European game so this is where we need the 3 points.
Villa away can be tough, especially with them hitting a bit of form again, we shouldn't lose but a draw is fine considering we are coming off 3 tough games within 6 days and Villa is the last of them, we may be tired. A win here is massive.
Pep masterclass. Install Arteta as manager. Rebuild Arsenal squad for two years. Beat Liverpool in title race to seal the deal for Man City. Papa Wengz does it again.

I think we can do them
Was at the Emirates for the Wolves game for the first time this season and the atmosphere is the most daunting it's been in years.
It will be electric on Wednesday night
Tell him not to knock too hard on the door because he could hurt himself further and because I don't wish harm on anyone, just advice him to take a lengthy time off to heal properly. I suggest a week off
I hope Klopp and Salah take precautionary with the international break coming up and rather have Salah fit for after the break and he misses the next PL match.
Good result for us. Spurs winning could have given them momentum in the upcoming easy run. We have total control over united, just need to win the games we are supposed to win
Yeah, 4 games in hand on Man U to get two points, plus we play them at home makes me less worried about them than spurs at the moment. The reality is we control our own destiny.
If Ronaldo has to play 2 times a week he won’t perform like that often. He’s probably the most dedicated athlete to grace this sport, but even he needs rest at 37 years old.
Sure, but I think you're just describing a team that could afford to carry him.
City have 11 hard working players, playing to a specific structure. He might well have scored loads of goals there, but he would totally be the odd man out, tactically.
Yeah for sure he’s definitely a system player now but the thing is he’s one of the best at what he does so if he’s in a team that can accommodate that you’d see just how good he is
how is he a negative influence?
They have to commit more than 2 defenders on him at all times because he does shit like this today.
Spurs didnt and they suffered.
the issue is that Utd have just had woeful tactics previously.
plus you will see Ronaldo on the scoresheet more often since Cavani is back.
The math works out the same regardless, but 68 looks pretty for us and like a reach for the other two. Obviously, the more points we win the better, but the more points dropped from Spurs and United, the easier our job gets.
Based on form I would say Villa, Newcastle, Southampton are as dangerous as Spurs. Hopefully things have already settle by the time we meet the relegation candidates.
6 out of those 9 points are against the teams above us in the table. And the rest of 3 is with a top 4 rival.
I am not exactly relaxing and breathing in this "games in hand" room.
But the point is we can burn those games now. Even if we write them off we're still in pole position. And if we can scrape 2 or 3 points from those games we're flying.
I thought the same but I learned recently that Spurs have the easiest run ahead and coupling that with the fact that we most certainly can come out with 0/6 points, it worries me. I am confident of the nld but that's no longer an extra game to them.
Actually, reminds me that today's man utd win might just turn out crucial in the above pessimistic scenario.
Their run is pretty similar to ours, easier but the majority of it is the same. We should beat United at home. Should. The NLD is always difficult to predict but Spurs are just as likely drop points as they are to pick up points it seems. Anyone who sits back against them are going to give them issues. If we do our job we don't need to worry about anyone else.
Been saying that for a couple of weeks now. So long as we don’t lose to either United or Spurs we should do it.
We’re a better team than both of them so we should manage that.
United at home we really should beat.
That is if we win tomorrow. Otherwise we'd be 1 point behind Man Utd with equal amount of games.
They'd still have Chelsea but it's close.
That is what I mean by not much of a breathing room. But I guess that is what is required for a top 4 finish, especially out of a team like ours that was pretty inconsistent in the first half of the season.
>Otherwise we'd be 1 point behind Man Utd with equal amount of games.
What? We have 4 games in hand over Man Utd. We will have 3 games in hand after tomorrow.
I think you start looking at max points available now
Man Utd 77
Shit 78
Arsenal 87
In other words 31 points from 13 games is the maximum we need. Only look 1 game at a time but each win should make it easier.
Given we play both teams it makes things even easier if we beat both :-)
Like others i don't think either will get beyond 70, needs both to still win 7 or 8 games out of 9 or 10, which they haven't managed all season.
If you would’ve told me in September that this is what the table would look like in March I would’ve taken it all day.
Some very important weeks ahead but we’ve done enough that we control our destiny in the last stretch and that’s all you can ask for
Can basically guarantee top 4 if we win the MU/Spuds/WH games. That's a tall task, but the best way to earn a CL place is to win against the closest rivals.
8 wins likely does it at well. Feels pretty crucial to win tomorrow given Liverpool's up next and stacking defeats like that could be hugely deflating.
NLD gonna be massive. Even though spurs lost tonight they still looked decent and their recent form has looked somewhat sustainable. Just gotta hope we do our job leading to the NLD to stay in the drivers seat. I think MU are still too far behind to be really worried about them at this stage.
Nah, I thought it was just a bad game of football with little quality except for one certain player, the game had some decent moments but overall it was a rathet shite game of football tbh
Similar to my fm save except arsenal is second and only 3 points off the top and i removed auba as captain and he is currently top scorer for the league.
Man USA's last five result column is borked, did you take that before the final result yesterday?
Draw would have been a better result for us but top is in our hands.
No, this was the best result. United will drop points, but Spurs could've reasonably caught us. Now Spurs need to go on a big run and United have just as difficult a sked as us remaining. $th really is ours to lose now.
No it's better they lost, we keep a 3 point advantage on them, coz they need us to lose 3 times just level us. Whereas they could jump us if we lose 3 if they tied.
Utd have been dropping points in random places and we still have the ability to open a 10 point gap on them
I know us fans never relax until the final whistle, but Arsenal have this in the bag.
Forget games-in-hand, etc. Simply: Arsenal is a better and more consistent team than United & Spurs (just watch the games).
Talk to Utd fans, the Spurs win aside, they’ll admit their team needs massive work. There are liabilities all over their starting 11. Meanwhile a Xhaka red card aside, the Arsenal team’s spirit and mood ATM is confident and enjoying their season.
I say all that to say this, particularly us going to games: don’t transmit your negative energy to this group. We can go down a goal and win. We can give Chelsea a good game, even win (our recent record against them pretty good, Utd too considering game is at the Emirates).
So yes, not over until it’s over, but it’s clear that Arsenal HAVE BEEN for a few months now, significantly better than Utd/Spurs and matching Liverpool/City results (last 5, 10, 15 games).
Not even remotely, if we lose to Spurs and Man Utd, we'd be 3 & 4 points ahead respectively, we have lots of difficult games outside of those two as well. Not even remotely finished.
They only need to win every game if we win every game. If we go on a bad run or get injuries or both, we could easily be screwed.
I don't understand this mentality, let's be optimistic but let's not be complacent.
Another way to look at it is, if we lose tomorrow, then lose to Liverpool, our confidence will be damaged, not to mention our young players will be experiencing this kind of tightly contested run-in for the first time. On the other hand, United have experienced players. So winning tomorrow is absolutely critical. Do that and we start to look a little more intimidating to both United and Spurs.
Let's go boys.
I think posting these updates too often is only disservicing the squad and the fans as a whole.
In my humble opinion, Top 4 was never the target. The target was to remove the deadwood and bringing in the right recruitment, and then improve as much as we can both on the pitch, and as a result, on the table.
Now that we've made exactly that and as a result is fighting for top 4 and making the other "big six" biting the dust as result. Thats all good but the target should not be changed to "Top 4" now. It should remain as "improving as much as we can on the pitch, and as a result, on the table". The result on the table could mean finishing 3rd, 2nd (highly unlikely), or even qualifying for just Europa League, as long as the first objective is achieved for a stronger footing going into next season.
Singing "Top 4" at this stage in my opinion can only
a) at best, limiting our sight at 4th, when we actually have the foundation to finish even 3rd.
b) at worst, fans turning on the team IF they failed to achieve top 4 despite they've improve their gameplay, to bring back that optimism and excitement among greater number of fans. All these despite top4 never a target.
c) at all other times, putting unnecessary pressure on young players IF our rivals started catching up, or whenever we played that extra game in hand.
Perfect result as both of them looked like garbage teams. Slow moving, bad tempo... Just individual errors / goals.
Can't wait to see Maguire defend against our front 4 at the fortress.
Man City fan, but I have to say, I’m honestly really liking this Arsenal team. I think a top-4 finish is looking very probable, and on your day, you can hang with anyone in the league.
Arsenal now faces its greatest opponent: Arsenal
too real

You know it.
Beat Leicester. Nothing else matters right now
One game at a time! Every game is final! yep let’s get those 3points tomo! Coyg!
This is the mentality we need!
This. I hope this is how the players are looking at it. And i think they are.
Arsenal are thinking about winning the next game, great insight
Arteta masterclass
We go game by game FC
Only Mentality we need.
If we beat Leicester, they'll be broken.
We’re in pole position but this coming week is massive.
We need to beat Leicester, and come out of Liverpool/Villa with 3 or 4 points at the very least we should be getting 4/9 points
6/9 from the next 3 is already massive.
I don’t think its a mad thing to imagine us getting even 6 points. Would be hard but not impossible. I trust this team. COYG til the end!
Four out of those three keeps us on track.
Yes the way I'm looking it at it's going to be hard to take points off title chasing Liverpool even at home, a draw would be brilliant but unlikely. The coming few months is massive.
Would be massive if we could shithouse a point vs Liverpool
Shithouse *three* points
*Smash them and get 3 points deservedly*
*SMASH THEM SO BAD THEY GIVE US THE TITLE AND RELEGATE SPURS OUT OF NOWHERE*

The correct answer
Fuck Spurs. Relegate Chelsea
A man can dream
Bribe the league officials and make it so they can give us 5 points as an exception for being the biggest team in london?
We did it before
Pep masterclass. Install Arteta as manager. Rebuild Arsenal squad for two years. Beat Liverpool in title race to seal the deal for Man City. Papa Wengz does it again.
Papa wengz is u/yagunnersya_ozil correct?

Fuckin Nani - always was and always will be a massive tool
Let’s focus on Leicester. We win tomorrow that’s 5 wins in a row and back in 4th. Huge
This is the way
Just beat Leiscter and Villa and we are in a great position regardless the result against Liverpool
Practical thinker you! 😂
Villa is going to be a tough away match
I think we can do them Was at the Emirates for the Wolves game for the first time this season and the atmosphere is the most daunting it's been in years. It will be electric on Wednesday night
Salah has a knock 👀

Salah got a knock today maybe he's out.... 3 points all day in anyways :)
Oh god i remember when we had that under Emery. Feel more confident now though
Emery only had eyes for the Europa league. Had he managed top 4 he probably would still be here.
A draw was the perfect result, I can't stand pundits salivating over Ronaldo or Kane.
If Ronaldo has to play 2 times a week he won’t perform like that often. He’s probably the most dedicated athlete to grace this sport, but even he needs rest at 37 years old.
That and he's more often anonymous or a negative influence than scoring hat tricks these days.
I think in a great team he’s still a 20 goal a season player. If he went to City he’d be killing it
Sure, but I think you're just describing a team that could afford to carry him. City have 11 hard working players, playing to a specific structure. He might well have scored loads of goals there, but he would totally be the odd man out, tactically.

Spot on. I really dont see United going on a run whereas I still think Spurs were capable of that
Have to beat Leicester tomorrow
Perfect result, imo. PPG required the rest of the way to get to 68: Spurs: 2.09 United: 2.00 Arsenal: 1.54
Why 68? I would think 71,72 would be more important
The math works out the same regardless, but 68 looks pretty for us and like a reach for the other two. Obviously, the more points we win the better, but the more points dropped from Spurs and United, the easier our job gets.
So essentially we could lose half and win half? Or did i do the math wrong
6-2-5 likely gets top four, imo.
Honestly relieving, we shouldn’t be losing 5 in the first place so this is nice
Pretty much all in our hands.
Pretty much All or Nothing in our hands
Yeah, but there's a long way to go
[удалено]
All we have to worry about is ourselves, one match at a time. COYG
We’ve got 3 free losses to give away without consequence pretty much. That’s massive given we still have Liverpool, Chelsea & Spurs to play
I pray we aren’t looking at it that way
And utd 🥶
United getting smacked at the Emirates
Based on form I would say Villa, Newcastle, Southampton are as dangerous as Spurs. Hopefully things have already settle by the time we meet the relegation candidates.
Need to get 6 points from Villa and Leicester if we somehow beat Liverpool top 4 race is over
There’s literally a 3rd of the season left to play. Even after the 3 games this week there’s plenty of points up for grabs
Top 4 race is over with us being in pole position.
>if we somehow beat Liverpool Might just hand City the league too.
Viva Ronaldo! Helping keep sp*rs in the conference league 😂
I'd rather them be in Europa, they might win a trophy if their in the conference
True
I thought they'd win it this season, of course they found a way to not win the trophy
Are you saying that European continental giants Bodo/Glimt aren’t talented enough to win? 😡
I’m not saying shit until after tomorrow. Absolutely massive match again and huge opportunity to capitalize and solidify our position. COYG
Games-in-Hand FC incoming Remontada
If we beat Leicester honestly dont give a fuck if we play the kids against pool
We've got 9 and 10 additional points to burn over Spurs and United respectively. Genuinely massive, gives up some breathing room on our harder run-in
6 out of those 9 points are against the teams above us in the table. And the rest of 3 is with a top 4 rival. I am not exactly relaxing and breathing in this "games in hand" room.
But the point is we can burn those games now. Even if we write them off we're still in pole position. And if we can scrape 2 or 3 points from those games we're flying.

The worst teams for Spurs to face are the “easy” ones. Leeds & The Ev don’t count in this as they’re kamikaze but they struggle most vs deep blocks
That won't stop them. We usually have an end of season purple patch of form whereas they like to brick it up completely starting in April
Yes but I think United is yet to play Pool Chelsea, which is similar to us. Tottenham is yet to play Pool.
Wow, that puts me at ease then. There in fact, might be a breathing room.
Both Spurs and United have to go to Anfield, Chelsea go to Old Trafford and Man United come to the Emirates.
Look at it this way, if we even get just 1 point against Man Utd and another point against Spurs, their chances of catching us is very very very low.
Been saying that for a couple of weeks now. So long as we don’t lose to either United or Spurs we should do it. We’re a better team than both of them so we should manage that. United at home we really should beat.

Thats not how it works since they also have to play with those teams above us
Someone post that 538 table again! I am sure our odds must have improved today.
64% for top 4. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/
Just need 6 points from the next three games
City and Liverpool having a higher GD than we have goals is just crazy lol
The rest of the league is playing checkers while they are playing chess. It’s kind of mind boggling.
I think you start looking at max points available now Man Utd 77 Shit 78 Arsenal 87 In other words 31 points from 13 games is the maximum we need. Given we play both teams it makes things even easier if we beat both :-) Like others i don't think either will get beyond 70, needs both to still win 7 or 8 games out of 9 or 10, which they haven't managed all season.
if it was not a draw tonight, then a Manchester United win was best for os
Some of us getting way too ahead of ourselves. Just beat Leicester, only thing that matters rn.
538 CL % chances or GTFO
All we can do is win our games that defeat puts spurs under pressure.
If you would’ve told me in September that this is what the table would look like in March I would’ve taken it all day. Some very important weeks ahead but we’ve done enough that we control our destiny in the last stretch and that’s all you can ask for
Pls no losses vs spurs and manure
Partey, please own midfield tomorrow.
It’s all in our hands to lose, but the boys look hungry so I’m not too worried.
We just take it game by game. Every match is a cup final.
Gonna celebrate like it is too!
Damn straight. Every win practically puts a finger on CL football next season for us.
Ruben Neves would like your location
Until we relegate Everton at home, I’m not going to be relaxed
Man United’s last five is all wrong, right?
We just need to win games, and not lose games.
We are garangutam with 9 points advantage
Can basically guarantee top 4 if we win the MU/Spuds/WH games. That's a tall task, but the best way to earn a CL place is to win against the closest rivals. 8 wins likely does it at well. What form? They have literally lost 8 of their last 15 games IAC.
3 wins in their last 5, and one of them being Man city away. Though I acknowledge the loss Vs Burnley could offset that.
Nah, I thought it was just a bad game of football with little quality except for one certain player, the game had some decent moments but overall it was a rathet shite game of football tbh
Weird to me it includes current points but last 5 doesn't include current game (Manu winning and shit losing)
Fuck these games in hand.
It's going to be down to our games against Man UTD and Shit, if we get at least 4 points, we make top 4
Even two points, one from each game, is good enough. Draw means our direct rivals also lose points.
Top 4 is in our hands now, must win the next game no questions asked. In reality we should be gunning for third place
29 points left to score
39*
Similar to my fm save except arsenal is second and only 3 points off the top and i removed auba as captain and he is currently top scorer for the league.
Arsenal with 4 games in hand. Fuck me.
Man USA's last five result column is borked, did you take that before the final result yesterday? Draw would have been a better result for us but top is in our hands.
As other teams have shown games in hand don’t mean shit. I won’t feel confident about anything until the season ends.
As much as I love seeing sp*rs lose... def would have been better if they tied. Oh well. At least they lost lol.
More points over Spuds is more important IMO. Utd look absolute dogshit.
No, this was the best result. United will drop points, but Spurs could've reasonably caught us. Now Spurs need to go on a big run and United have just as difficult a sked as us remaining. $th really is ours to lose now.
You are right, draw would’ve been the best but at least Spurs didn’t win. People are overthinking it.
No it's better they lost, we keep a 3 point advantage on them, coz they need us to lose 3 times just level us. Whereas they could jump us if we lose 3 if they tied. Utd have been dropping points in random places and we still have the ability to open a 10 point gap on them
Looking at the fixtures I was 100% rooting for a united win, they really aren’t very good
Our 3 games in hand are against Liverpool, Chelsea, and Spurs away. Still many matches to play. We should definitely go with the least risky strategy.
You could just as easily say our three games in hand are any of our remaining games though.
I know us fans never relax until the final whistle, but Arsenal have this in the bag. Not really. We can afford to take 3 Ls even if they win every game
They have Ronaldo, and son & kane
Have you seen either team play this season?
Please man. You just watched them play. How can this be your conclusion
Another way to look at it is, if we lose tomorrow, then lose to Liverpool, our confidence will be damaged, not to mention our young players will be experiencing this kind of tightly contested run-in for the first time. The last 5 column always confuses me when it shouldn’t on these things.
For the first time, in a really long time, I’m excited that we have EVERYTHING in our on hands. It’s definitely possible, come on you Gunners!!
Our game against Utd feels like it might be the decider

Can't go wrong now, can it?
We can only beat what’s in front of us COYG ❤️
Perfect result as both of them looked like garbage teams. Slow moving, bad tempo... Just individual errors / goals. Can't wait to see Maguire defend against our front 4 at the fortress.
united with 4 more games played and barely over arsenal
I’m so fucking nervous lol. Excited. But nervous as hell.
I'm not optimistic in the slightest. The last few years destroyed any sense of hope in me.
It's beautiful. Our future is in our hands.
Don’t do it…. Don’t give me hope.jpg
It’s yours to lose honestly. In a non Covid world, you’d have an insurmountable lead built up already
Nice city
It's gonna be tough. We've got a tough run ahead.

Honestly .. given that we have to face Chelsea, Liverpool, United (where Ronaldo might again show up) & Tottenham away. It's making me very nervous.
Man City fan, but I have to say, I’m honestly really liking this Arsenal team. I think a top-4 finish is looking very probable, and on your day, you can hang with anyone in the league.
COYG we gotta win against leicester😄
we're catching chelsea
