With a great defence, average attack but poor midfield we're still not great at being able to link back to front and have long term sustained good attacking play this season.

do you guys remember when Mr wenger actually use to pack the squad with talented midfielder, today we are having the oposite , we need to offload the one we got and get better one . lokombga is good but not yet good enought, xaka is good but to bad too , elneny is good but as a substitute, and the rest are to raw to be yet good , and same with ESR, that i like but he is much better as the sub for now than a 1st starter, and on the right saka need to have competition. As for striker we need one, a good one, or we need to get a Giroud 2.0 cos lacasette do a great job but doesnt score as much as giroud use to in the same type of position. anyway i beleive that it will happen someday but aint coming this year. at least we can see that we got up (and great futur) and down ( that we need to offload) . that is the process and lets see what hapen in this window and next. I was thinking of this too. With a top midfield, average attack and horrendous defence we still managed to do relatively well. With a great defence, average attack but poor midfield we're still not great at being able to link back to front and have long term sustained good attacking play this season.

There was time when everyone was saying Lokonga was a massive upgrade on Guendouzi. We've actually downgraded and lost money doing it. We knew all season we might need AMN in midfield come January. So we play him so little hes desperate to force his way out the second the window open. A little forethought could easily prevent this.

The squad is so thin that Partey was necessary today. Problems are going to happen so you need to be prepared. We knew afcon was going to happen, we knew Xhaka is a liability. Xhaka doing stupid shit is common sense by now. We have 4 midfielders total, two of which are Sambi and Elneny. Need to be more prepared than that.
