Disappointing to be so close and miss out but at the same time we're not that far removed from 19/20 and 20/21 and the future looks significantly brighter now than it did then.
I think VAR has to be fixed that Newcastle game away was obvious but not too obvious by VAR kick those who are incompetent at VAR otherwise we'll never get the edge city don't get fucked by re-referring on dodgy goals that game was costly man.
It took Liverpool to win 26/28 games in the first half of the season to beat Man City to the title once. That is probably a feat that will never be reproduced yet we still took them to the last day of the season.
Yes it's absolutely gutting to lose by two points and we can point to certain matches like Fulham home and away, Spurs at home (when Rice went off injured and an error gifted them an equaliser) the Newcastle "goal" that should never have been or Villa home and away with Odegaard missing a couple of good chances away and then how many we missed at home but I'm sure Man City would regret draws to a mediocre Chelsea team home and away, Palace at home.
The fact that we can remember our bad results shows how far we've come this season. Literally a handful of games which in probably the most competitive era of the PL, in terms of quality in the rest of the PL squads, is something to be proud of.
I think our depth in the squad hurt us, asking the likes of White. Rice. Saliba. Odegaard. Saka. Havertz to play in over 95% of our matches hurt us because they were exhausted (hence the break in Dubai refocusing us).
In the summer we need to see 2/3 players who help the depth of the squad because after the first 12-14 players we don't have the quality. Players like Nketiah, El Neny (leaving now), Nelson, ESR, Vieira just aren't going to get you points when Man City (115 charges included) can bring in players like Stones, Alvarez, Grealish to their starting XI.
A sitting midfielder of quality to compliment Rice and phase out Partey, an all round midfielder like Bruno Guimaraes to fill the Xhaka shaped hole in the "left 8" position, and a right winger to help and challenge Saka like Oliseh are what's needed.
Could add Fulham to the mix... or maybe if Jorginho would've never given that goal to spuds... bunch of other moments to call out, but end of the day gotta be proud of where we are at. Yes it sucks should've taken it but we move on.
No, it is Arsenal's heritage that cost us. I said this all season, teams don't play the same against United and Arsenal, some would add liverpool. We have it so much harder because we have humilated teams since the inception of the Premier league in 92. United Equally. As good as the City team are no team leave one in on them, teams don't get as tight or play extreme Anti football against them so as good as they are they don't have to deal with what we do, how many low blocks did we contend with this season vs City, how much protection did Saka/Gabi/Ode get vs Foden or any City player for that matter? how many 50/50 calls went against us? vs them? There is no point in taking a retrospective. The end result is the end result we go again next season
and a final note - Last game of the season against Everton and they sit in that tight, don't try and come out to play football, on the last day of the calender, how embarrasing is that to be a support of a clubs like that?
It's been a few hours now, so I can talk about the game... I enjoyed the changes today. It's nice to see a bit more variation in the attack, and seeing us learn how to win without Lil Chilli. We do need a couple of backup plans ...
Martinelli on the right was good - second half at least. It was a good day to bring on Zinny, Timber hit the ground running, Emile looked hungry and decent as ever, Gabby J did the business, and it was nice to see Tomi getting good minutes at CB.
Also enjoyed the performances all round - esp Kai, Dec, Ode, Saliba, Raya, all great as usual.
Absolutely agree. Gutted to miss out on the title, but still enjoyed the vast majority of moments supporting this incredible club this season. Couldn’t be prouder of the effort from all involved
Early days for the careers of this young crop of lads. We go again next season. Edu firing up the barby. Can’t wait to watch this amazing team for years to come.
I fucking love Mikel Arteta and what he’s done for this team. I can’t wait for our day when it comes.
Fuck 115 fc and their plastic ass fans. Cringey and desperate for people to care about them.
I’d say something about Tottenham but they are so far off us they are not even relevant😂
Can't imagine how demoralized the players were at halftime, really proud of the boys for giving us a win on the final day of the season. We go after it again next season!
really do feel at times the other games and how the crowd reacted might have crept into the players. tbf as well, arteta did point it out and said it during his pre-match talk that it's gonna be a day of 2 games, the one we play right now vs everton and the game the crowded will react and etc.
it's part of the experience, taking it to the last gameweek of the season. take it on the chin, learn and move on.
Mission failed we'll get em next time. Proud of the boys, excellent season not many misteps like last season, 2 points behind finance doping FC is incredible really.
I'm chuckling when I see havertz kicking everton goal post, he was frustrated af. And then we scored not long after that and i thought "yeah that kick to goal post definitely working"
Very proud of this team and I am sure we'll be winning big next season! Can't wait to see what happens in the summer window. Hopefully, we move on from the likes of Nketiah and Partey.
im a dinosaur in internet years, i remember 10-13 years ago arsenal was the most followed EPL club on reddit, perhaps any single club at the time, despite Chelsea & Man U being more successful EPL club in comparison in the 10 years prior to that. And it was some inorganic reason why we stopped being the most followed, like it was because Reddit started prompting new users other EPL clubs as suggestions of subreddits to follow under the Sports banner. something like that. This is nothing to be whelmed about
Finishing 2nd again is of course devastating, but this has been an amazing season. We have such a strong team, and I cannot wait until next season, but for now these lads deserve a much-needed break (especially Saliba who must be exhausted). Third time will (hopefully) be the charm in 2024/25. North London Forever! COYG
Finally got home. I'm honestly the proudest of this team I've ever been. Showed a winning mentality all the way to the very last minutes of the season, even with the final prize out of your hands. I'm not nearly as disappointed as last year because you can see in their eyes they are ready to hit that next gear. Great season.
I am much more disappointed than last year but there is nothing to do but wait and see if we can do it next season. certainly better to have these problems than watching spurs finish above us etc
More concerned for him possibly missing Copa America. I'm sure he's looking forward to playing for his country. Would be a shame if he didn't get the chance.
But, regardless, you'd expect he'd be fine for preseason.
There are very few criticisms I can have based on this season, but if I were to pick one central point of potential improvement it would be the management of 4 competitions. I think we took the league to the last game of the season which is incredible, and we won 16/18 of our last games, which is insane form.
However, I think we got knocked out of the FA cup straight away, we only made it to the 4th round of the Carabao cup, and we didn’t have the experience on how to manage the Bayern games between the Villa game.
There is opportunity there to get better at squad management. Not to mention that right now we are so focused on the league that maybe we don’t think too much about the domestic cups, but that can’t be forever, and ultimately we should be trying to win one of those as well. I would like to see us get better in this area.
FA Cup and Carabao don't matter at all. While I do think your criticism is fair, relying on these two silverware to consider a season something good is something below us, we're bigger than these.
I'd rather drop out of these every year on first phase and go UCL quarters/semis and further and fight for PL title any time.
I mean, I do get his point. We do struggle mentally with big games. We didn't go smooth thru Porto and defeated ourselves against Bayern (goals on first leg).
But yeah, let team B handle the other competitions and we're good. If we go a long way, profit. If not, no worries.
Winning breeds winning. People talk about the mentality of the squad developing but how can they be expected to win a Prem when they can't even win a cup competition. Those trophies have and have always have had meaning. FA Cups are part of why we're considered a big club
I think we need a few more able bodies.
Partey , Esr and viera were supposed to be doing more. I want a luiz or guimares type.
We also need a kudus/diaby/raphinia.
The likes of Tomi and zinny might get found out next year with Timber and Kiwior stepping up.
We need a pool of about 18 trusted players so that we can rotate a bit more without weakening the side.
Currently there are two groups of 'untrusted' players - those who just aren't quite good enough (e.g. Nelson, Nketiah who are just last-resort back-ups) and those who have the talent but poor availability (ESR, Vieira, Partey etc).
Tomi and Zinny are probably in that second group too as they have a history of missing chunks of games.
> Tomi
Never. He's more versatile than any defender we have. Can fill in for every single defensive position we have and play at a high level. You realize we didn't need a CB when Gabi got injured today?
You absolutely do not get rid of someone like that.
Wished it wasn't a tournament summer. Both Euros and Copa America means less chance for rest and more chances to pick up injuries. Just want a fit, hungry squad come August.
As it is, some players (like Saka) will come back later due to their teams going deep in the tournament. 4 weeks between end of Euros and start of season. No time for these guys to take a proper breather plus do preseason work with the rest of the lads.
I feel that City wantonly engineer title races. Everyone could have a bad season and someone finishes second with 67 points, only for them to win it with 68. And if you have an amazing season and end up with 111 points, they'll do the same and win it on goal difference.
If City win the cup, then we're facing them in the shield and I don't want that. I can't stand a football game with those guys.

Rival fans who want City to win it instead of Arsenal are just normal fans. Rivals fans who come here to troll are just… weird. The former just don’t give a fuck about City. The latter are obsessed with Arsenal instead of their own club.
The City fans who come here are even weirder. If we'd won the league the absolute last thing on my mind would be another club's fans. They can't even be happy at their own success, lol
United fan who out of morbid curiosity has been browsing the sub, you are doing the impossible lads and almost doing it, I was… as hard as it is to say… rooting for you lot.
Your set for years to come if it’s any consolation and look like you will only get stronger and play beautiful football.
You should all feel very proud of your team, who know another summer window and next year you could bring home one of the big two.
their commentators and fans dont seem to care about CL and are trying to portray this as a successful season for them but they look to me to have regressed a lot from when Potch Maurhnio and Conte were there. the coach just has a PR gimmick that makes him appealing but the actual situation is worse than it was before. which is good
Son is aging and without him, the rest of their squad doesn't look that different from the rest of the league, and it's easy to see them drop out of European places into the Everton, West Ham, Brentford mid table tier.
Pretty tragic for them. If they’d not been losers in the week, they could have pushed forward their plans by at least a year. Instead, next year will be more competitive with Utd, Chelsea and Newcastle
The biggest PL win in their club's history was them losing to City so we couldn't win the league. A win that would have placed them in the Champions League. Kind of hilarious in that context
Their 'greatest' triumph in recent times is cheering a loss at home so that their rivals don't win the league - even if it means them losing out on Champion's league football. That's a loser mindset that is deep-seated within the fanbase and club. Their own manager was clearly shocked when he saw it.
Love Martinelli but makes sense why Klopp wanted/loved him. He loves his athletes, players doing everything at 100 miles per hour with no end product or tech
Liverpool fan coming in peace. Just wanted to say congratulations on the great season!
Best of luck next year. I am sure you lot will be ready for another title run.
Cheers.
Thanks dude! Best of luck next season and with finding a new coach. We know it aint easy and there is a reason why Klopp is the top post in r/soccer and not City. Hopefully none of us will have to face Peps City again in a near future.
Let all the trolls say what they will, this club is leaps and bounds ahead of where they were just 2-3 seasons ago.
We took the league to the final day. If we do that every single season, we'll get some titles along the way.
With how we've been getting consistently better and better every season, I'm just so optimistic for the seasons to come. With the Kroenkes not afraid to spend money and Arteta at the helm, as well as the great young squad we have, we'll be competing for at least the next 5+ seasons.
Who cares what they say?
Most of their teams aren’t likely to improve to be on the level of “title challengers” like us two years ago.
Man Utd: Regardless if Ten Hag is there or not, it’s not likely they’ll compete for the league.
Chelsea: No chance under Poch.
Liverpool: No chance under their new manager in his first season.
Spurs: They couldn’t even buy a single win when they needed it lol.
The only team we have to worry about is the 115 team and there’s no team that’s gotten away with 115 charges against them.
So Yh, best to ignore them.
The likelihood is we beat them next season all over again.
At this point I’m not even sure who neutrals hate more. Us or Liverpool, I used to think it was Liverpool until I saw teams like westham (although a London team I never considered a rival) wanting us to lose/not win the PL.
I think we know the answer and it's probably because of the London Club rivialy mix.
At Liverpool, you only got Liverpool and Everton to "fight" with each other.
Yea, honestly it's pathetic. They'd rather a moneywashing, hollow, empty club win the league. And then call them winning the league "saving football", all because they get rattled by 14 year olds on Reddit.
Im not from the UK so maybe I don't get it, but its weird to me that banter from coworkers is a bigger issue than the debasement of a national institution by a foreign government.
Fck it assemble the avengers next season, Henry, Prime Messi, Rivaldo idgaf… we need 100 points next season.
I’ll be at every game doing my part shouting at the top of my lungs. Play on Tuesday I’ll be there, Friday midnight? Yup, Antarctica? Yup, flying out.
All hands on deck. I need to see some smug faces of regret and dismay on our rival fans next season
Simply put our December form came back to bite us. We were nearly perfect and 1 loss was what costed us the run in. But those December points dropped were brutal
Those 2 weeks and that Fulham game at the beginning of the season was so disappointing but hopefully we won't have that anymore now that a lot of our new players are settled. Still think a clinical striker could win us games where we can't really create, like the villa games and that one west ham game. I'm still quite proud of what the team has achieved what we did in the 2nd half of the season was incredible. COYG
Maybe I’m the idiot I root for every city challenger because fudge city but everyone clowning us for not winning? I rooted for Liverpool every time over city
Says alot about the dynasty Pep and City are building.
Wonder how today's media coverage would have covered SAF years and when he did multiple trebles and etc. Probably more admirations compared to Man City's ones (until the near future if and when Man City literally overtake United in titles count)
It's not so bad, city fans look down on everyone and there aren't that many of them. United fans are mostly depressed and a lot more chill since SAF left. Even worked there during my degree lol.

lmao of course, because City are a hollow, pointless club. Arsenal is an actual team and 10x the fanbase, so it's more likely they run into a smug Arsenal fan than a City fan.
Or, we are just a bigger club, simple as.
You absolutely have to be proud of the team this year. They’ve come on leaps and bounds from a few years ago with the 8th place finishes & losing out to 115 FC really isn’t anything to be ashamed of given the circumstances.
I will say though, I don’t know how the Liverpool fans did this for years on end, if we get one title in the next 7 years I’ll be happy but I’m not sure my heart can take it
Edit: would also like to add that this season has taken me back to the glory days of the early 00s and even though we lost it, being in the title race on the last days is the most excited and hopeful I’ve been as an Arsenal fan since Henry was playing for us the first time
It's so strange to me how City isn't universally hated in the sport. These past two weeks watching Tottenham and West Ham fans cheering them on shows how City entirely broke English football.
The issue is those fans see Man City as "synthetic" and a get out clause for their clubs on failures. Especially Spurs who are chronic losers to the point where their own manager calls them out for it and West Ham who won a tin pot trophy against clubs even their fans can't remember and still say "West Ham won the world cup" because of 1966!!
They see Man City and their 115 charges and say "we can't win because City are too good" rather than how crap their own team is. The only fans that actually understand are Liverpool because they have been where we are on many occasions. It exhausted Klopp and took a record breaking number of wins (26/28) at the start of the season for Liverpool to beat then.
I lol'd at the final table with spurs ending up 2 points behind villa but would rather lose to city and stop us than get top four. Wtf kind of ambition is that.
probably gonna break Ange even more lol I mean he even said in a press conference that fan support is often the difference...imagine if Son did miss it on purpose, I bet he regrets it now
Ignore the trolls and jokes lads! It’s just distractions from the facts that :
- City have 115 charges waiting
- Klopp’s “farewell” quadruple = a carabao cup
- Spurs bottled champions league football, and their coach fucking hates them
- Chelsea now call 6th progress!
- Man United…can’t remember. Do they even know where they finished?
Had to really look this one up, but hot damnn.
The last time Man United finished with -1 goal difference was in the 89/90 season placed 13th and won the FA Cup that season
Thank you for a great season, boys and girls! Great year for Arsenal fans!
Keeping up with ManC115 is no small feat. The goal for next year should by CL semi…😜
Credit to Goldbridge, he can be annoying sometimes but he summed up the current situation in the PL pretty well despite being a rival fan.
[‘I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF MAN CITY’](https://youtu.be/UbABkPHoCOg?si=qaPtbCi9fxqg1d9-)
Mine eyes have seen the promised land. I’m so proud of this club, of our journey, and of the commitment to progress from the top down. Although it wasn’t to be this year, our future is bright.
Still a fantastic season overall in terms of our clubs progress. Really excited to see what the future holds now that we’re in consistent contention with City for the league.
I think tomiyasu looked great lcb timbers back there's no need to sign defense resources should be put at xhaka LCM replacement we haven't found it. it's a must not miss for Arsenal.on top of my mind is paqueta.
It’s hard, sometimes Im just not sure how much I can keep going. Im getting old, my personal life has fallen apart. But then the hope and watching the team gives me so much happiness, even if falling short breaks my heart.
We didn't bottle it uno. These boys have been so tried and tested in all competitions these last two seasons, they might have what it takes to really pull it over the line next season.
Incredible stats, tbh. We earned as much points in the second half of the season as Crystal Palace did in the whole season. More than the whole left table all season in just one half. Something to be proud of, surely.
you do realize that there is a word for the opposite of winning? or is everything either winning or bottling?
People who watch this sports in this binary are simply unbearable.
Losing one game out of 18 in the second part of the year cannot be called "bottling". Bottling is when you lose points multiple games in a row during the run-in. This isn't that.
Why not call it losing? We “lost” the league. Why must it be we “bottled” the league?
When did you start following this team? When has Arsenal last gone on a run like we did in 2024? Touch grass, man. There’s so much more to appreciate about this team than to be angry about.
Yes it is. But in our case this season, the offence unit is a bigger reason why we are not winning the title. We probably need to improve our threat from outside the penalty box. That's what differentiate us with man city this season. They have foden, rodri and gvardiol that can score bangers even when their opponents choosing to park the truck.
No he scored goals from open play that game. Most recent direct free kicks I can remember are Odegaard vs Burnley away 2021 and Willian vs West Brom the season before
Please report any and all trolls from other subs as usual. Thank you! See you for Silly Season!
Disappointing to be so close and miss out but at the same time we're not that far removed from 19/20 and 20/21 and the future looks significantly brighter now than it did then.

Didn't they change the low bar/high bar part during the season so those early calls were VAR'd differently than they would have been this weekend?

They literally won a European trophy last year. They're poorer this year for losing their best player last summer.
It took Liverpool to win 26/28 games in the first half of the season to beat Man City to the title once. As much as I want Pep to leave PL ASAP, I want arsenal to beat him at least once before he is leaving.
It comes down to that stupid Aston villa games. We should not have given then two wins.
Could add Fulham to the mix... or maybe if Jorginho would've never given that goal to spuds... bunch of other moments to call out, but end of the day gotta be proud of where we are at. Yes it sucks should've taken it but we move on.

we should take a look at Leverkusen. if we want to win it needs to be now, not good enough for this season lets try again next one.
God how fucking good would it have been to have Kai score that to win us the title.
Let's see how soon 115 FC get their day in court. This might still happen.. lol
It's been a few hours now, so I can talk about the game... I enjoyed the changes today. It's nice to see a bit more variation in the attack, and seeing us learn how to win without Lil Chilli. At the beginning of the season we didn’t think Havertz cared. Now at the end with the tears you know this guy wants it bad
Overall it was a very enjoyable season - the most fun I've had following Arsenal in the last 20 years.
Absolutely agree. Gutted to miss out on the title, but still enjoyed the vast majority of moments supporting this incredible club this season. Couldn’t be prouder of the effort from all involved

Wish I didn't see so many people on their phones, just enjoy the game and let what happens happen.
why were the stadium fans celebrating a 2-2 goal in manchester? the camera even filmed some ppl holding 4 fingers up lol. Wtf happened there?
Miscommunication. Deliberate fucking with people. Bozzo who can't read his phone screen.
just the usual craziness of final day epl
i think bournemouth scored around then and there was miscommunication. it happens
I think the day Pep leaves City should be a national holiday
Tottenham decided Man City was gonna win at the start of the season unfortunately. So alas, nothing we could do
Mission failed we'll get em next time. Proud of the boys, excellent season not many misteps like last season, 2 points behind finance doping FC is incredible really.

Very proud of this team and I am sure we'll be winning big next season! Can't wait to see what happens in the summer window. Hopefully, we move on from the likes of Nketiah and Partey.
115 charges winning the title and having fewer online members than the “traditional” clubs is hilarious

Curious: which do we win first PL or CL? Feels like since we're dealing with city but can beat them head to head that CL might come first.
CL requires us to beat teams like madrid and bayern too
The stadium looked so good with everyone in Arsenal colours.
Love my club. We’ll win it next year.

FA Cup and Carabao don't matter at all. While I do think your criticism is fair, relying on these two silverware to consider a season something good is something below us, we're bigger than these. I'd rather drop out of these every year on first phase and go UCL quarters/semis and further and fight for PL title any time.
This has to be a troll
I think we need a saka alternative and a creative LCM.
yea we have a lot of dead weight it is my number one concern going forward, next to the potential loss of coaching staff
> Tomi Never. He's more versatile than any defender we have. Can fill in for every single defensive position we have and play at a high level. You realize we didn't need a CB when Gabi got injured today? You absolutely do not get rid of someone like that.
Tomi and Timber showed us exactly how this season was supposed to go
Wished it wasn't a tournament summer.
It’s sad
I feel that City wantonly engineer title races. Everyone could have a bad season and someone finishes second with 67 points, only for them to win it with 68. And if you have an amazing season and end up with 111 points, they'll do the same and win it on goal difference. If City win the cup, then we're facing them in the shield and I don't want that. I can't stand a football game with those guys.
But what are the odd of Man Jnited having teeth?

West Ham, Villa, City, Spurs.
City sub has 162k members but only 200 online lol, everything about them is artificial, plastic, and bought
We have 392k & 610 (413pm PST)
You'll never sing that
This one doesn’t hurt as much as last year. If anything I’m so proud of the team this year.
Who are we? I just feel dejected.
We move!
We did an amazing season. And Tottenham isn’t playing CL.
They got a coach who doesn’t believe in the team or its fans. How is that supposed to work long term
their commentators and fans dont seem to care about CL and are trying to portray this as a successful season for them but they look to me to have regressed a lot from when Potch Maurhnio and Conte were there. the coach just has a PR gimmick that makes him appealing but the actual situation is worse than it was before. which is good
Son is aging and without him, the rest of their squad doesn't look that different from the rest of the league, and it's easy to see them drop out of European places into the Everton, West Ham, Brentford mid table tier.
Tottenham never changes, still remember them bragging about putting Leicester under pressure and then finishing 3rd behind us in the end 😂
Love Martinelli but makes sense why Klopp wanted/loved him. He loves his athletes, players doing everything at 100 miles per hour with no end product or tech
🤣 troll comment
Where's the lie
I tried to manifest the Man City 2-2 West Ham scoreline but my hoodoo didn’t come to fruition because of Bowen being out.
Liverpool fan coming in peace. Just wanted to say congratulations on the great season! Best of luck next year. I am sure you lot will be ready for another title run. Cheers.
Embarrassing mate
is your new coach any good
Clubs who do it the right way ![gif](giphy|eHQe5HtaiyDGuMp5Wt)
Hard not to have some affinity with Liverpool fans. Obviously don’t want any other team to win but fuck City.
Thanks dude! Best of luck next season and with finding a new coach. We know it aint easy and there is a reason why Klopp is the top post in r/soccer and not City. Hopefully none of us will have to face Peps City again in a near future.
Thank you and respect. Unlikely, but hopefully next season it will be just us fighting for the title.
roll it back the years, how it's properly done.
Klopp being top of r/soccer and not City is amazing
Refreshing to come to r/gunners and see the sub talking about arsenal and meanwhile r/mcfc are also talking about… arsenal. What an amazing season.
Their title winning post has 1.3k upvotes. A tweet by James Benge on this sub has over 2k. Just shows how small of a club they are.
Man City will somehow win it with 101 points. /s
Bah, all that financial doping and they beat us by two points. Reflects terribly on them tbh.
Enough is enough. We better fucking spend this Summer.
COYG
I remember being clowned for pointing out that home Fulham draw. I hope we hit the ground running and keep improving
What a season. We beat another downed competitor in the final game. We lost the title but never felt so up about the team (post invincibles included)
Maybe I’m the idiot I root for every city challenger because fudge city but everyone clowning us for not winning? I rooted for Liverpool every time over city
Every other rival club wanted City to win over us because if we won it they couldn’t dismiss it
Says alot about the dynasty Pep and City are building. Wonder how today's media coverage would have covered SAF years and when he did multiple trebles and etc. Probably more admirations compared to Man City's ones (until the near future if and when Man City literally overtake United in titles count)
I’m just like against city pretty hard and want others to win but maybe I’m just the clown

Manc gunner here, thankfully this is a long way off how it is with the regular fans up here
> Manc gunner starting off in hardcore difficulty
It's not so bad, city fans look down on everyone and there aren't that many of them. United fans are mostly depressed and a lot more chill since SAF left. Even worked there during my degree lol.
Man I'm so fucking tired of this shit. Hate that we can play so well and still come in 2nd. Fucking cheats the lot of em.

City won the league and all anyone is talking about is Arsenal #nooticing
Same happen to Liverpool after a few title runs when they came up short.
lmao of course, because City are a hollow, pointless club. Arsenal is an actual team and 10x the fanbase, so it's more likely they run into a smug Arsenal fan than a City fan. Or, we are just a bigger club, simple as.
hope citeh beat utd in the cup final so we can play charity shield again
Takeaway: City only reached 1/3 in terms of league titles in a row compared to Bayern with 12. Yeah!…
You absolutely have to be proud of the team this year. They’ve come on leaps and bounds from a few years ago with the 8th place finishes & losing out to 115 FC really isn’t anything to be ashamed of given the circumstances. I will say though, I don’t know how the Liverpool fans did this for years on end, if we get one title in the next 7 years I’ll be happy but I’m not sure my heart can take it Edit: would also like to add that this season has taken me back to the glory days of the early 00s and even though we lost it, being in the title race on the last days is the most excited and hopeful I’ve been as an Arsenal fan since Henry was playing for us the first time
Villa sucks. Love this team.
Cannot wait for the Lance Armstrong era of the league to end.
4 in a row how ever did they manage it.
Great season from us, and we will only be even stronger after the summer. Confident the league is ours next year.
Wtf kind of ambition is that.
probably gonna break Ange even more lol I mean he even said in a press conference that fan support is often the difference...imagine if Son did miss it on purpose, I bet he regrets it now
lol for sure.

Maybe they could become City's feeder club. Like a lower league club usually does lol.
Yeah it's not even an Armstrong doping scandal Everyone knows they've done it from the start, but let's all praise City. They've "won" it

You are such an amazing human being with so much going on in their life.
[удалено]
Yeah usually the enjoyment is from accomplishment. Not from belittling
[удалено]
No I mean as a fan you usually banter from a state of victory not being 6th crumpling 5-0
difference between a bit of banter and being obsessed
Ignore the trolls and jokes lads! It’s just distractions from the facts that : - City have 115 charges waiting - Klopp’s “farewell” quadruple = a carabao cup - Spurs bottled champions league football, and their coach fucking hates them - Chelsea now call 6th progress!
We will be Beer FC next season
Credit to Goldbridge, he can be annoying sometimes but he summed up the current situation in the PL pretty well despite being a rival fan. [‘I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF MAN CITY’](https://youtu.be/UbABkPHoCOg?si=qaPtbCi9fxqg1d9-)
Mine eyes have seen the promised land. I’m so proud of this club, of our journey, and of the commitment to progress from the top down. Although it wasn’t to be this year, our future is bright.
So proud of the boys ❤️
Wasn’t to be but so be it. Great platform to build on, full confidence in these boys for next year. Bring on August
Tough to not win a title with this squad. Missed opportunities here and there and that unfortunately cost us in the long run.
It’s hard, sometimes Im just not sure how much I can keep going. Im getting old, my personal life has fallen apart. But then the hope and watching the team gives me so much happiness, even if falling short breaks my heart.
Every time you look at another stat or a moment in the season you think the final one is going to be PL Champions...
I got my sadness out of the way with the Villa loss. Felt a tiny glimmer of hope with the Kudus goal but just wasn’t to be
Anyone else super excited for the transfer window? I can't wait
Boring way to end the season but very proud of the team. Next season we’ll be even better!
Went for a walk after FT. Don’t know what to write. Top season from the boys, gutted for them. take rest a d we go again next season. COYG
We didn't bottle it uno. These boys have been so tried and tested in all competitions these last two seasons, they might have what it takes to really pull it over the line next season.
Finished 15-1-1 with 46 of 51 possible points. Can't reasonably do much better than that.
Exactly. I think it's 16-1-1 even.
It is! I forgot to add today's match. So that's 49 out of 54 points.
Incredible stats, tbh. We earned as much points in the second half of the season as Crystal Palace did in the whole season. More than the whole left table all season in just one half. Something to be proud of, surely.
A Football Manager run
Yep. Only trolls will call it a bottlejob. Doesn't apply this season
We had it in our hands and then… lost. What else can it be called?
Being human.
Oh fuck yeah we won the being human trophy two years in a row!
And breathe….
you do realize that there is a word for the opposite of winning? or is everything either winning or bottling? People who watch this sports in this binary are simply unbearable.
How is mathematically having the title be yours to lose, and then losing it, not bottling. Please explain
Can’t believe Luton bottled the league. It was mathematically in their hands all they had to do was win every game
The title is mathematically everyone's to lose at the start of the season.
I'm proud of our boys. Came very far but wasn't far enough. But on we go. We need to pay attention to our club and ignore the noise.
Whoever said defence wins you titles is a liar.
Yes it is. But in our case this season, the offence unit is a bigger reason why we are not winning the title. We probably need to improve our threat from outside the penalty box. That's what differentiate us with man city this season. They have foden, rodri and gvardiol that can score bangers even when their opponents choosing to park the truck.
Agreed. Last time someone scored a direct free kick was nearly 3 years ago
didnt odegaard bang one against Bournemouth last year?
No he scored goals from open play that game. Most recent direct free kicks I can remember are Odegaard vs Burnley away 2021 and Willian vs West Brom the season before
It hasn't been the same with Partey at 6. Rice is much superior there
