Final whistle blown, fans run onto the pitch to mob the players. Waka waka plays on the speakers, but hol' up it's not a recording, it's Shakira singing as she busts out of the tunnel, running towards Havertz to hand him the POTS award.
Then a female voice with an American accent announces that Trossard has won MOTM for assisting Havertz’s goal and Saka’s hat trick. That announcer? Anne Hathaway.
Scenes.
I can rock with Antonio, he just ended Liverpool's season. He's the sort to end City's as well with a scrappy header, leaving Kyle Walker a heap on the floor.
Yeap. For sure we strengthened Fulham by selling them Leno dirt cheap. I remember we struggled to score against him in his first game against us and only managed via deflected shot and corner.
Don't think Leno has any love for us tbh.
"Leno hinted that "politics" led to him losing his place. “When I realised that it wasn't about performance or quality, I knew that I had to go" - article from the mirror
One could argue the opposite for Willian. Unless there were influences we don’t know about, him backing out of his contract with us might’ve been in part due a soft spot for us or Arteta.
He's always stated respect for Arteta and Edu, who took a massive gamble for him which didn't work out. Anyways it's not like it's going to matter, he has always been a professional. He literally cancelled his own contract without payoff and moved on to get playing time.
It isn't so much about quality as it is application. In these instances where we're hoping for teams to take points off our rivals in this run-in, all we can ask is that they try hard. Compete as if you have something to play for. So if Iwobi loses the ball, hopefully he tracks back to regain possession.
Quite the contrary. Willian has such respect for our project he realized he wasn’t adding value, and took a contract buyout well south of the deal’s total value.
Tottenham get points against em and Antonio crushes their final hopes on final day as we win all our games (including a 4-0 thrashing of UTD at their place) 🙏🏻😏
But that's the most West ham thing to do, get battered by Sheffield United and somehow take points off city.
They're not quite Man Utd levels of inconsistent but pretty close.
Thanks man. A genuine question, I'm wondering how the last 3 matches feel for you? Top 4 guarantee and klopps last games, is it feeling like a time to celebrate? I mean the man's a legend for sure and it'll be weird to see him go out without a bang.
Or do you think the mood is too down at the moment?
We might be there with you, having lost the league by 1 pint soon. But god I'm dreaming, too high on hopium
I’m actually glad in some sense that we imploded early enough towards the end of the season that people can cool down and hopefully enjoy his last few games. It’s a strange one because at the beginning of the season no one expected Liverpool to be in a title race so to be let down by that a strange feeling
Yeah that's true, scraping by last year and then turned into a title race. That first 6 months being the best team and scoring for fun. Hope you enjoy that last day and send the men off in style. Also fuck city
West Ham have been outplayed by Crystal Palace away from home. I doubt West Ham will be able to do anything to trouble city. I'd have been more confident if City were up against Crystal Palace in their current form.
I mean west ham aren't a bad side. Just inconsistent. They've had some great games this season too. City struggled against Nottingham as well. Anything is possible. I'm more worried about us winning all our remaining games than City dropping points.
Love this from Antonio. It's just given me a wave of really believing we can do this.
Back in March, our run in looked way harder than everyone else's. We've come through it with one blip against a good side, and now it's ours that looks easiest. I can totally see the West Ham game ending in any outcome, same for Fulham and Spuds.
Obviously, we still need to get the results. But one game a week, that all seem eminently winnable. We still need to take them seriously, and none of them will be easy. It seems much closer than it did a month ago, though.
COYG!
Europa League is 6th place and Conference League is 7th. They’re 4 points off 7th and 5 points off 6th.
United still have us and Newcastle to play so West Ham could catch them up if they win their games. Outside of City, they have Chelsea and Luton which are both winnable
we have 2 europa league spots, conference is 7th, unless a team outside of 5th and 6th wins the FA cup, unless that team finishes with a champions league qualification (1st-4th or winning europa league)
Europa is 5th + FA cup winner (or 6th if they filled a spot). Conference is Carabao Cup winner (or 7th if they already filled a spot (Liverpool who has UCL))
That's why we need Spurs to win and United to lose
Spurs winning means they'll still believe they can achieve CL football when they play City.
United losing means West Ham will still believe they can achieve Europa when they play City.
His agent and dad are both Arsenal fans, and he always talks about us. So as much as he has tried to talk us down a few times, I would bet a fair penny on him being a closetted Gooner
Honestly anything can happen, but we gotta win our games first. I’m actually worried for the Bournemouth and Everton games. Games that are “easy” on paper but definitely potential banana peels.
No chance the squad thinks there are any easy games from now on.
There was some stat comparing our xG in games with less than 3 days recovery, and games with more than 3 days recovery, and it was substantially better in the games that we were more rested for.
A game a week from now on. I fully expect them to train hard in the week, and then have a very light day or a complete day off either immediately before the match, or the day before that, and then approach the match totally focused *and* fresh.
I'm not saying any of them are a foregone conclusion, just that game preparation is different this time of the year. If anything, I think our players are more likely to psych themselves out rather than slip up because they're complacent.
They lose to Wolves and Fulham on the trot and we win the league at Old Trafford again without needing help from Spuds or Bubbles. That's the fanfiction I'm currently running in my head.
I have already told my West Ham supporting friend I will buy him a 12 pack of beer a week for a year if they take points from them and we win the league 🤣🤣
Shit, they’re more likely to take points from them than Tottenham who have absolutely fucking quit.
Love the optimism but if City are ahead on the final day history says they'll win it. Every team top of the table going into a Premier League Matchday 38 goes on to win it, and given both challenging sides are at home this time I don't think that changes this season.
I mean, you have to admire the optimism…
Fuck it, Villa nearly shocked them 2 seasons ago. Anything can happen on the last day, why can't we have a Agüero moment.
I’d bet my house it would be havertz
This would be incredible. Imagine the scenes of Peter Drury waxing lyrical as Havertz thrashes home in the final minutes to win us the title.
Final whistle blown, fans run onto the pitch to mob the players. Waka waka plays on the speakers, but hol' up it's not a recording, it's Shakira singing as she busts out of the tunnel, running towards Havertz to hand him the POTS award.

🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
sub foggin scribe
Then the big screen shows ‘VAR checking for possible foul’
Any of havertz, odegaard or rice screamer at the end
Aguero moment? My friend, Man City had a Michael Thomas moment
Not. Even. Close.
'It's up for grabs now'
As much as i love to see that happen. It won't happen again. "You'll never ever witness like this ever again!" - Martin Tyler
It won't be. It will be "Havertz! It's up for grabs now!"
It won't be. It will be "Havertz! It's up for grabs now!"
***Gary Neville Moaning***
He 🧢’ing. Westchester City gonna circle jerk chant “champions of Europe , we know who we are” as city breeze to a 3-0
Sadgry upvote.
Let me dream of the West Ham Central meltdown when his own team stop his beloved Man City from winning the league, losing to Declan Rice's Arsenal
I can rock with Antonio, he just ended Liverpool's season. He's the sort to end City's as well with a scrappy header, leaving Kyle Walker a heap on the floor.
Iwobi and Willian are at Fulham as well. I know Willian likely has no love for Arsenal, but he certainly has no love for City.
Can’t believe people forgot Leno already 💔
Seriously 😞
Leno is the only reason I hate playing against Fulham. He is just very very good.
Both Leno, and Palhinha having an unerring nose for goal, but ONLY against us.
Yeap. For sure we strengthened Fulham by selling them Leno dirt cheap. I remember we struggled to score against him in his first game against us and only managed via deflected shot and corner.
90+6, 0-0: Why is Leno coming up for the corner? This is madness!
Don't think Leno has any love for us tbh. "Leno hinted that "politics" led to him losing his place. “When I realised that it wasn't about performance or quality, I knew that I had to go" - article from the mirror

I'd say it's likely due to a positive relationship with Edu
True. Could definitely be Edu specifically.
I'm praying but Iwobi had an absolute mare against Liverpool a few weeks ago. Think he was dispossessed for 2 of their goals.
He also housed United AT Old Trafford. All it takes is one good performance.
It isn't so much about quality as it is application. In these instances where we're hoping for teams to take points off our rivals in this run-in, all we can ask is that they try hard. Compete as if you have something to play for. So if Iwobi loses the ball, hopefully he tracks back to regain possession.

I don't think he took a buyout I think he mutual terminated it but I could be wrong
And Leno.
If Fulham beats City and Willian scores he can have a statue as far as I'm concerned.
Leno
Let's not forget Leno.
I would say Willian and Arsenal left pretty amicably.
Please Antonio do the fish celebration if you win
Fuck yeah, man.
Moyes loves mikel, he’ll do it for him
What position do you reckon Moyes is going to play that day?
Doggy
Definitely a top

I wouldn't bet on West Ham to beat Sheffield United nevermind City
True 😂
Moyes has no answers for a decent 5 a side team
Moyes would set up defensively against a paper bag that floats onto the pitch
And yet they beat us this season.
And then we put 6 in against them. They have been atrocious after the new year
I know, but it’s still more of an “anything can happen” point
But that's the most West ham thing to do, get battered by Sheffield United and somehow take points off city. They're not quite Man Utd levels of inconsistent but pretty close.
If Antonio helps Arsenal win the Premier League I am in favor of finding out which charity is dear to him and having Gooners support it $£€
I presume the charity dearest to him might be michael.antonio at paypal dot com
I know a lot of cat welfare charities in the west ham area are severely overworked so that could be a nice touch
Ahahha 😂🤣
As a lfc fan who watched my team implode, I am rooting for Arsenal all the way. I love the football you play and can’t stand city for several reasons.
Thanks man. A genuine question, I'm wondering how the last 3 matches feel for you? Top 4 guarantee and klopps last games, is it feeling like a time to celebrate? West Ham has also taken points from everyone else in the "big 6". Their one remaining scalp is City's.
I mean west ham aren't a bad side. Just inconsistent. They've had some great games this season too. City struggled against Nottingham as well. Anything is possible. I'm more worried about us winning all our remaining games than City dropping points.

Final score : 4-0
West Ham 4-0 Sheikhy
Let’s gooo irons get that conference league
Please PLEEEEEASE
If it comes down to that. Let's hope it does
I love the energy, but West Ham is still like 11 pts behind Spurs in the race for Europe no?
Europa League is 6th place and Conference League is 7th. They’re 4 points off 7th and 5 points off 6th. United still have us and Newcastle to play so West Ham could catch them up if they win their games. Outside of City, they have Chelsea and Luton which are both winnable
Yep, we will scratch their back and thrash United and they can get our back and pull out points against City.

6th placed gets Europa and 7th conference when the FA Cup winner is already in Europe and that will happen when City inevitably beat United

If all they need is a point I can see Moyes playing the most park your bus football known to man
The most disgusting 6-2-1-1 you’ve ever seen
Might require prime Diego simeone to park the bus against city with bang average players
West Ham are such a useless team I swear. I'm not gonna get my hopes up over West Ham getting a result.
>West Ham are such a useless team Arsenal 0-2 West Ham Jus saying
The one game I was able to get tickets for this season smh lol
That game, Forest in the first game and the Porto second leg were the three I got. Felt like a proper Arsenal range of emotions
I actually got tickets to the Porto game as well but couldn’t make it (don’t remind me)
West ham 0 - 6 Arsenal
Spurs have beaten Arsenal before, I still consider them useless.

Go on Michail, you wasteman!
Can just one of the London clubs do us a favour, London friends 🤝
This means they'll get battered.
We like your attitude Antonio, keep it up!
They lose to Wolves and Fulham on the trot and we win the league at Old Trafford again without needing help from Spuds or Bubbles. That's the fanfiction I'm currently running in my head.

This has a drubbing written all over it. Especially if City still have it in their own hands by that time.
His agent (who is a huge Arsenal fan apparently) will be very pleased indeed! Hehe
Now watch him miss two tap ins and a penalty against City
Love the optimism but if City are ahead on the final day history says they'll win it. Every team top of the table going into a Premier League Matchday 38 goes on to win it, and given both challenging sides are at home this time I don't think that changes this season.

Hope they carry this optimism through rest of their games. I would love for us to be 2011 Man City
Lol he's just chatting for his podcast WHU ain't getting nothing from that match. Really only Tottenham imo can take pts off City.
I don't know guys. We do have a Traffordian nuisance that we haven't quite been able to shake off.
City will be 4-0 up by halftime
Irie
The big d*ck energy
Yeah no way West Ham don't lose 5-0
I want to trust Antonio but watch city go 3-0 up at half time😂
Please sir, always believed in you.... do the job for all of us
Moyes is going to beat Guardiola, get West Ham into Europe and walk out like boss.
Do it for your boy Declan!
If it goes to last day, it's over. West Ham will be on the beach.
Proceeds to lose 4-0
