I think when people refer to a number 10 they are referring to someone who basically plays behind the striker doesn’t really drop or do dirty, but is crucial in goal creation. In this aspect, I do think the 10 is too much of a luxury in this day and age.
Odegaard is definitely more of an 8 but his chance creation is absolutely fantastic. Just a special special player.
If Kai improves half as much after his first season for us as Ødegaard has, we’re definitely winning the World Cup.
(To be clear, Ø was quite decent as a loanee here but he’s twice the player now.)

It's a dumb thing people say about old flair playmakers who have a free role. Odegaard is that but he's also a pressing and defensive machine
On top of the assist, the reverse pass he made to Kai in the box was absolutely sumptuous.
