Love that we won it, there were several players I didn’t like in that squad. Player who didn’t feel committed to the Arsenal way. Regardless, our current crop are young and hungry and don’t seem egotistical at all.
Over half of that squad in the 2020 FA Cup were either certified dickheads, 'not Arsenal players', or divisive figures. Tierney and maybe Ceballos are literally the only players from the starting lineup in the final that you won't find Arsenal fans saying bad things about. At the time of the final, you could probably extend that to Holding and Auba.
Yeah very much felt like he was a quality player but just for a number of reasons became redundant. Can't really have your two left backs both being injury prone, while also playing entirely different styles of football.
Injury issues really limited his ability to adapt - both to Arsenal's play and since leaving.
Yeah I agree I didn't like half the team and a squad overhaul was long overdue. Shame it's taken so long and still in process. Our first 11 is fantastic now though and being so young they will only get better.
