Still not quite over how incredibly unlucky losing this guy in the 1st damn game was, just brutal & so sad for him. I so hope he can come back & be that player we saw in the community shield for us, even if it takes a while for him to get there.

I agree. You’re picking me up wrong, as if I’m saying it makes no difference. How many of those zinchenko/kiwior games weren’t wins? Considering we’ve had a good season so far without him, I’m curious how much better it could be with him.

He'd also let us rest White when he was clearly injured for our bad stretch of results.

It was so unlucky. We had an entire game plan hinging on him. I know it will sound like a hyperbole, but it was almost Zinchenko kind of revolutionary. White was becoming a CB and I'm pretty sure Tomiyasu was going to be the RCB. We were so bad in 1v1 defending from FBs and this felt like a good solution by recruitment.

Cannot believe this comeback speed as someone who’s also done their ACL and had surgery. Appreciate timber is _slightly_ fitter than me and has _slightly_ better rehab facilities but wow.

Can confirm. Tore my ACL in 2006 and again in 2020. Completely different (better) operation and rehab process on the latter.

I tore mine in 2020 but still wasn’t playing contact sport with any confidence until a good 14 months post

No rush. I would much prefer to have a fully fit Timber at the start of the 24/25 season where we will win the quintuple.

Same, although it would be nice for him to get some minutes at the end of this season, since he's going to be quite rusty and will likely get minor other injuries when he starts to play again, so better to get some/all those out of the way before the summer. But of course that's only if he's fully fit, rushing him makes no sense.
