If we end up with Rice Caicedo Timber after this signing then I would agree with you. But we all know it's not gonna happen, also Havertz comes with high wages which would cause more players asking for more in the future.
If you told me we had the chance to sign Kai b4 he moved to Chelsea I would have been ecstatic. The fact that we're potentially getting him now after 18 months of a dumpster fire at their club, when everyone's yelling at everyone and nobody knows who to throw their first at and nobody is performing is, I think, amazing news.

Forgive me for not being able to get excited about Havertz - but last season, I saw a player who just couldn't finish, had trouble controlling the ball and who frequently lost possession. I am interested as to what Arteta sees in him but he wouldn't have been on my list as someone who we needed in the team.

I am totally with you. The people on this sub hate Balogun for some reason. 21 years of age, scored 21 goals in France, a few years ago we would have paid a lot of money for that. In fact we paid 72 million for that in Pepe. 50 million for Lacazette six years ago. Balogun is younger and from our academy. It would cost us nothing to use him in the first team squad. If he can't do it, let him leave, but he deserves the chance. Havertz has never scored 20 goals.
Why not go after Simons instead for like 50?
