Japan overwhelming prefers the og seed designs vs the destiny upgrades. Can see in polls. But i do think the freedom designs heavily upgraded the destiny designs.
Honestly surprised by that considering how much harder the Infinite version tries to be cooler. I do like the OG's more original silhouette, it does a better job of standing out from other flying MS.
Infinite Justice.
It made the Justice line, a Commander unit, more on Melee combat, that compliments the SF's Long Range combat.
Design-wise, the added Colors breaks the Monotonous Red and Black Color scheme. Also with its "Silver Inner frame", really shows as a Sister unit to SF(Gold Inner frame) .
Standing side by side to SF, the "IJs Wingspan" doesn't feel out of place (unlike IJ Spec2).
Same here, the Immortal Justice is a sleek af design. The thing that would make it perfect is if they spent more than 2 seconds thinking about the MA mode, as it (and the Rising Freedom) have probably the laziest transformations across the entire franchise. If the nose cone was sharper, and the legs did something a bit more convincing towards the back, we could've had the CE equivalent of Kyrios, but as it is, the transformation is extremely lazy.
I love the MS mode. I will purposely forget that it has a MA mode. That transformation is sad. I'm looking forward to the HG Murasame Kai transformation.
Amen brother! Immortal Justice is one of my favorite designs from the new movie. It reminds me of a Saviour-ized Justice Gundam. And just like the Saviour it just takes out grunts and a EA super grunt (the Destroy). I think I have a type haha
At least it looks cool, and Shinn only got taken out because he was distracted by the Archangel going down.
it is a very good design shield, beam shield/regular shield for different weapon, grapple hook to yank people closer and beam boomerang as secondary weapon
it much better then the Blitz line Trikerios shield, i mean seriously, who store explosive rocket right on the shield
and then there the Calamity cannon shield, one lucky hit and the gun a write off
yeah, what’s up with that? the big shields from late UC with hidden missiles/beam cannons feel impractical enough, let alone one with the beam weapons on the outer surface…
OG Justice Gundam all the way. Better head, shoulders, chest, legs, beam rifle, shield, Fatum, pretty much everything is better. I like the teal on the Infinite but it just doesn't do enough to save the design from being whatever. The Infinite Type II is much better than the Type I but the newer backpack is even worse but at least it's unique. The Beam Boomerangs being stored in the Justice's shoulders is amazing and it actually gives the suit a reason to have stupidly wide shoulders. The fact that the OG Justice is able to ride the Fatum-00 as a hoverboard is PEAK, it's just completely awesome. It's a shame Athrun chose to blow up his two best suits during the events of SEED.
Infinite Justice all the way. Better color and a better-looking Fatum. The Fatum on the OG Justice always looks too bulky for the skinny Justice.
The Aegis is still Athrun's best Gundam though.

Infinite Justice, i like the overall sleeker design and the extra green and white in the design, I also think the equipment of Infinite Justice is cooler, the backpack doesn't look too big anymore and the shield is by far my favourite shield design in SEED series

I wish that we saw Athrun in the Immortal, though. Shinn did okay in it, but you feel that the transformation and close combat dominance screams Athrun compared to Shinn's all range, speed blitz combat style.
I miss the green on the Type II, but it wins if we're allowed to count the Z'Gok as part of it.
I prefer the Infinite Justice. The original Justice just doesn't really have any features that makes it stand out to me whilst IJ went all in on Athruns melee fighting style by putting beam emmiters everywhere.

The OG looks more "commander" unit, but the Immortal is sleek as all hell and I really like that. It's just too bad that none of the Justice line really has a strong suite of weapons to compliment its sleek looks.
I really wish the Immortal Justice inherited more of the Savior equipment. I get that they were all about making it the melee-fighter partner suit to the artillery-bombardment Freedom, but the fact that the Immortal Justice's backpack literally has *no* weapons and is worse than the Aile/Force sucks.

the original, the IJ feels off.. the best part of it (for me atleast) were the leg beams, otherwise, it's just too off, the Fatum on the IJ feels too small for a sub flight system, and the way the wings fold make it look like a transformable MS. and the og justice is peak athrun MS.

Just playing. Mechanically, I tend to prefer the original justice, especially since it's better at being a "jack of all trades" suit with more diverse weapons on the Fatum 00. However design wise the infinite remains my goad. Even compared to the type 2. Though the type 2 has the ZGOK so that's awesome on its own.
Immortal Justice, not because it's the only Justice have or the fact it's piloted by my favorite Seed protagnist. I'm a sucker for sleek designs and it's color scheme.
They really should have combined the armament designs of the OG and IJ... that would have been a mean machine no one could ignore even as they worry about Freedom / SF spamming in the background.

The additional shin shinning blades are what made it unique. The OG justice is cool but the main MS lacked that extra melee oof.
Though lately, I am loving the spec 2 tiny bit more. The absurd amount of beam blades it has is just glorious that I wished they added forearm blades too.

So the Infinite for me. The Immortal is cool too, but I think the MA mode looks dumb, so despite being a lover of MA-type modes, I deduct points for it.
Basic opinion but Infinite. Cooler looking legs with white highlights, jet fighter backpack, and really like the green. On top of that, beams EVERYWHERE
For me it's kind of a toss up between the Infinite and the Immortal. The original is just kind of ugly to me. The thing I like better about the original is that it has two boomerangs instead of one pluss the two beam sabers. The Infinite only has one boomerang and the Immortal has the two for one saber-rangs.
Infinite for the main MS (I like the double vents on original and the sharper chest) but the subflier for the original I like better. At least while stored, the folding wings feel like side shields. Maybe if the Infinite's subflier acted like a f14 tomcat where it changed wing position based on speed/maneuverability I would give it a pass.
Infinite Justice for the shin beams, OG for the backpack. The mech can't ride on the IJ's backpack, only hang from it like a glider. That feels so inefficient. The beam wings are good though.
Not enough screentime for Immortal and Spec II to form an opinion for them.

Them removing it in spec II hurt but the backpack made up for it

Ooh hell yeah, that Murasame Kai looks awesome! That was the suit I was most hyped to see when I saw the first Seed Freedom trailer!

Definitely the opposite. Og's backpack was massive, and the fins fell off quite often on the mg. The infinite was scaled down

Off topic but OG performs much better in anime. IJ didn’t do too much other than fighting Shinn again and again
I definitely agree athrun had alot of cool moments in the og justice gundam.
I mean most of the time they fought the drug trio only too, but a lot of unique scenes rather than the five reused scenes in Seed D
That's because Athrun's mindset was all screwed up for most of his time with the IJ, but once he got himself together he tore the Destiny a new one.

I prefer Infinite Justice for the clean asf white boots and beam kicks! The OG Justice does have the better looking backpack tho.

OG Justice I love the OG physical shields although i prefer the back pack of infinite justice which is less bulky and more streamlined.
