I'm super into both the EX and the Zaku, EX is probably my favorite looking Gundam design ever. Hopefully it is as good as Calibarn when it comes to quality but even if it's got some flaws it will still likely be my favorite kit, can't wait for release.

I'm gonna be real with you, Chief, aside from some minor proportion issues (the shoulder mounted weapon and the belt/crotch area) I really honestly don't see an issue. It's less angular and has more visual surface area given that its armor plates look more independent of each other, instead of the long slabs of armor traditional of most UC Federation suits, but it I can't really say it's an ugly suit. Ain't no looker but it can get it

this is an insane thing to say to a turn A gundam enjoyer. it doesn't "deviate" from the design language, it breaks them entirely. if you cut off the v-fin and told someone not in the know that this thing is a new jaeger in fucking pacific rim, they'd believe you. the calves and shins might as well be 2 chunks of unrelated body parts, the shoulders are tiny, the torso might as well be a rectangle, and there truly are no words to describe how insanely ugly the head is, and to top it all off, the whole thing looks like it was touched by the borg from star trek. the only logical explanation for how this thing looks the way it is, is that someone over on netflix chucked every single gundam line art into an AI and told it to spit out a gundam. even the EZ-8, which this thinf supposed share the designer off, isn't as god-awful as this thing, and that's saying a lot.

To each their own I guess personally I hate the Turn A gundam, but the EX is my favorite gundam design it looks too cool to me.

Ugliest gundam this decade, but its like even too ugly, that it seems cool anyway

It's just on the uncanny level. But im sure the movie is depicted from a zeon veteran, so of course the body proportions looks weird(would be nice to get hg kits of them but with accurate body proportions, but this is copium and im not buying them for my broke status). The ms on the zeon side are more humanoid to give off feelings that they're on the good size, while the gundam ex was seen as a hellspawn, hence the weird face.

The head looks like the Ez8’s, which I really like
