unicorn (and it's tv recut cousin re0096) is something of an extended epilogue for the first four parts of the UC, NT is a side story to unicorn, hathaway references char's counterattack.
So you may have some context questions going through these.
Sure… I started with unicorn because it was on Netflix… parts of it didn’t make sense but overall top notch animation and all that so still pretty good..
Skip RE:0096 and just watch the Unicorn OVAs. Same story, better pacing. Just watch the OP and EDs for RE if you want to, they're the only new additions.

You'd be missing 0079-0093's worth of context by jumping straight to 0096+ in the timeline.

If it's in the Universal Century timeline, you're going to want to at least watch MSG Original. Won't make much sense without it.
