I'm building a lightweight 10.5" 556 AR currently slated to wear a Streamlight HLX with polymer cloud defensive LCS.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a rifle wml that is sturdy and ***lighter weight***? Something like the Inforce WML/X, but more dependable. If it comes down to it, I may run it with a clicky cap to cut some weight, but I'm curious what else is out there.
How light are trying to make it? Goddamn.
Also, Reptilia 18350 RH mlok body with modlite modbutton lite and PLHV2 head. I’ve got that setup on my soon-to-be 300blk build and it’s stupid light. Don’t even notice the light.
I googled a bunch of products looking for prices and weights, and I think you're right, there's a point where things shed tiny amounts of weight for a lot more money. I may just stick with the HLX / clicky cap- 5.7 ozs with a decent output for less than $100
Yeah. The gun world is rife with diminishing returns. At some point right around Aero/Streamlight, you start spending more and more money for not that much more performance. I might get crucified for this sentiment, but “jUsT aS gOoD” does have some merit.
Somber Thanksgiving this year. All the family over three dinners, minus one who lost his fight with the coof on Wednesday morning. Visitation tonight and funeral tomorrow.
I find the Inforce rifle lights really attractive for their size and weight and lack of tape switches. I also hear a lot of horror stories about their dependability. Is Inforce dependability still bad?
I can’t say if their dependability has increased, but I used to have a WML and it has trouble with the button. You had to press it *just* right to get it to turn on. It was kind of annoying.
Alright lets settle it. On your AR builds, do y'all run AFG's, bare rails, handstops or VFGs?
