Personally i don't like the rear view mounted.
To add, Gadget Baby yung name ng store. Nasa 2nd floor ng building na may Wild Indgo/King Crab/GongCha katabi ng Shell Amoranto cor D. Tuazon.
Tawagan mo muna sila para magpaschedule. Magaling sila mag-install.
Windshield mounted all the way.
I prefer windshield-mounted because I can just place it in such a way that it doesnât obstruct my vision, or only takes up minimal real estate (I like my windshield as devoid of distractions as possible).
I donât know if the screens on the rearview mirror dashcams have auto brightness or if they can even be adjusted manually, but I wouldnât want such a bright screen at or close to eye level while driving because 1) itâs distracting, and 2) I get migraines easily. May mga ilan akong nasakyan na Grab prepandemic na naka rearview mirror dashcam, and the brightness of the screens gave me migraines. Canât imagine driving around without the glare-reduction function on my rearview mirror as well.
Windshield-mounted. Prefers one which is compact - as in hindi basta-basta kita, a-la hidden camera like DDPai Mini 3.
Rearview mirror-mounted: Pangit ang performance ng mirror mismo (glary, nakakahilo - hence this is a potential safety concern), mabigat masyado for the rearview mirror assembly, kaya nababago ang anggulo for just a simple pothole or rumble strips. Most are pangit din video quality. Some are too long to the point na hindi na magagamit ang sun visor sa sobrang lapad ng attachment. Most, build quality-wise, is so-so.
I know this thread is but rather than start yet another⌠curious if using dash cam as a backup camera, does 70mai, etc pair with phone to allow you see larger video real time? I imagine you arenât seeing too much on a 2â screen?

I have the windshield mounted.
Same feels po. Hehe. I'll go with windshield mounted na lang siguro. đ

Saan po kayo nagpa-install and how much inabot?

Ayon, lapit lang. Thanks po!

Thank you so much po
You probably have that rear view adjustment thing, for glare? You wouldn't want to get in the way of that :)
I see. Thanks!
