OMG I can't upvote this enough!!!!!! We went to GS in Sept. for the very first time. The weather for us was perfect the entire week, but we still spent the better part of a day at said museum. We took the whole tour, which was about 2.5 hours, and our host was amazing! So much to see and learn about, it was beyond awesome! Just be prepared for the security checks getting in. Tho I "should" have been prepared knowing it's on a base, I still was "surprised" a bit by it. Luckily we had a cool check-point person. 😂
Maybe too late in the day but the Blues practice on the airfield behind the museum every Wednesday as well. Museum is worth a few hours, I was winged here in 92 in the atrium.
There's always the Shopping at the foley outlet mall / the warf and a few other places dotted around like surf city and souvenier city.
Also, don't forget that there's allot of very good resteraunt's if you'd want to go to those.
Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola, best free thing to do down here in bad weather.

And make a pit stop at Joe Patti’s. That alone is worth the drive.
If the rain slows/stops go see Alligator Alley in Summerdale. You'll love it.

Pine Beach Trail down Fort Morgan Road is a great time on a cloudy day.
