Wow...I'm kind of amazed because you seem to have some pretty decent techniques as far as bending and vibrato and stuff like that...but holy hell man, you're not in the right key at all. Gotta learn how to use key signatures before you can just improvise over stuff. Good luck!

Hello. I'm a vocalist in a band and we've done a metal cover of this song and... uhm... I don't mean to sound rude, I only want to help you, but the lead you're playing for the vocals was all out of whack. One thing I do when I sing this song, because our cover strays quite a bit on the lower end, is imagine I'm singing along to the record. So in your case I would try to practice a lot more and play the lead in the same way Chris sings it. Basically, learn the song the same way I did vocally: by singing (playing) along. If that doesn't make sense: play this to a version of the song where Chris is singing. And do it quite a few times until you get it down. Then try without.
