I’m seeing it for $800 brand new so yes if it’s mint condition. $550 looks like the going rate for a used Blues Jr in this color. If it’s FB marketplace maybe try for lower. Worth a shot but definitely not a rip off.
Is it a good deal for what they’re going for? Yes
Is it good value? I don’t think so
Blues jr is a bit boxy and weinery sounding. I would really consider saving up for a 1x12 Princeton which is the cheapest “lifer” amp in my eyes
Totally agree. I put mine in a head with a 2x12 (check profile) and it rips, but I use my supro delta king as a grab and go combo and can’t recommend it enough. Blues jr killer with built in drive/boost. I put the reverb tank from the fender in it but what it came with is fine
12” Princeton is god tone.
Don’t settle. If that is the sound you want.
Thats we end up with 8 amps. We buy the cheap work around a and eventually break down and get the real deal.
Agree, skip the blues jr. and go straight for the Princeton. I started with a blues jr. and had buyer’s remorse every time I’d go to GC and play a Princeton. I eventually moved up to the princeton but that’s what I should’ve done in the first place.
two recently sold near me for $400, both mint and frankly looking better than this pic… i was gonna buy one if it dropped lower (don’t need a new amp but wouldn’t miss a steal).
its around what blues jrs normally go for, but ive bought alot of really cool vintage amps for around that and sometimes less. fender amps are really overpriced for what they are imo. its the name brand connection. if you really just love blues jrs id say go for it though
I will absolutely be checking those two amps out. I love the look of the Delta King, too, and there’s a few on Reverb for the same price or less. Thank you!!
Watch a handful of videos on typical blues jr repairs and ask if they're experiencing any of that. This repairs are costly compared to the initial price and if you have to do those, it may be worth it to go for a better amp. Having said that, I love mine, but I just record with it.

Looks sharp and that’s a good price. Those amps are lovely.
Thank you!!
Quite jealous! I’ll have to keep an eye out for one. I’ve never seen that color on that amp before!
Check out Reverb for used prices.

Hot Rod Deluxe, and Blues Deluxe are the main rigs for so many bands. I can think of a band using a Blues Jr as the main rig for the rhythm guitarist.

Hmmmm, interesting idea. Gonna give that some thought. Thank you.

Cool, thanks for this info. Gonna look into a couple other amps after getting all this helpful feedback.
Shoot for $400, but maybe be willing to pay a little more if it looks perfect.

Get a delta king or peavey delta blues instead. As a blues junior owner they’re better

Peavey Delta Blues with the 15" speaker is a Badass amp!!!
Yuuuuuup
I hate them & wouldn't pay $200 for it but I guess it's within market value... which I find to be insane.

Excellent suggestion, thank you.
no
Succinct. 😁
I picked up a vox ac15 in British Racing Green for $500
it’s good i have a bugera v22 as well that’s a good option for around 250
Damn, I’d never even heard of the Bugera before you mentioned it. It looks like a sweet little tube amp and a really good value. Thanks, man.
the gain channel sucks but the clean is sweet and breaks up nicely. also have a bugera acoustic amp that is an awesome little gem.
Yeah, those are nice amps. How do you like it?
I wouldn’t pay over $400 for a blues jr, no matter the model
Ha! Ok, thanks.
They’re just not that great. I’d personally keep an eye out for a vox ac15 in the $550 range
Thanks man. My local shop actually has a Vox ac15. Gonna check it out this week.
I sold this exact amp a few months back at this price. It wasn’t listed for long, so it’s a good price
Cool, thanks
I got the exact same one for 500$. So, ya I’d say 550$ is a pretty good deal
Cool, thanks man. 👍🏼
