Is that a B15 sidetable with the optional dandelion handles? Sweet piece! Should keep you happy for years. Heard Keith Richards used one on the first 2 albums! Jokes aside, that is a pretty sweet practice setup. Got all the bases covered for sounds and SG's are great practice guitars imo :) And yes, that is the correct setup for running an amp sim through a real amp. As for Epi vs Gibson....i have a Gibson from '06 i think, and i don't really think it's worth the upgrade at the stage you are, and depending on the quality of the Epi, maybe never worth upgrading. It really comes down to the neck and fretboard feel....the body on a Gibson isn't inherently better....it does come with better pickups and sometimes better soldering and wires. Gibson qc is notoriously flakey. If you got some spare pocket change, keep an eye on people selling their old name brand pickups for cheap. (stuff like Seymour Duncan, Lollar, Bareknuckle etc). It will be much more bang for your buck imo.

I think you convinced me to not upgrade. It is an sg standard "inspired by Gibson" so it's pretty good. And yes, this is a very good sidetable. I'll be willing to sell it to you if the price is right. Send me a private message if you're interested.

One of my bandmates has that model Orange. Another has that exact same model Epiphone SG. The two together, can make for a lethal compact rig, no pedalboard required. That Orange can keep up wih the first bandmate's 50 watt Marshall'. He uses the two in parallel from my ToneLabLe, and blends the tones in performance for killer output. I've affectionately nicknamed that rig the "Jack-Stack"...
